I tunes 8 problem

(I have a macbook)
I just downloaded the itunes 8 upgrade earlier this evening. It was wor\king fine, and I was enjoying the new icons, etc.
Then, all of a sudden, I could no longer open up that itunes window, no matter what I did. I tried disk utilities, verifying and repairing permissions, as an apple friend recommended, that didn't help. I then went and re-installed itunes 8, AGAIN, and nothing changed.
So now, in order to access any of my itunes library, music, etc. I have to go into find and put in itunes and then I can find all my stuff and I can access, but I'd like to get my itunes window back.
Please help with very explicit instructions. I am a non-techy and am amazed I even figured out how to do what I've done.

On your display properties, change the colour settings to Highest (32 bit). This should fix the problem.

When I open my i Tunes the following message pops up

I-tunes playback problem

I have a problem with playback in i-tunes through my hi-fi via Airport Express. When playing something like an opera, which should flow seamlessly between tracks, at every index point there is a momentary "drop-out" which is VERY annoying. The "crossfade" option in "Playback" is turned off and I have experimented with the "Sound Enhancer" turned on and off, but the problem remains. Any idea, anyone? Thanks.

It might be worth trying a dxdiag to see if that finds anything amiss, michael.
Go Start > Run. In your Run, type dxdiag and hit enter.
Work through the troubleshooting tabs. Does dxdiag report any problems?

I Tunes loading problem

When i download I tunes on my windows Vista computer my cd/dvd player stops working. When I remove I Tunes from my computer my cd/dvd player starts working again. Can anyone help with a fix??

... actually, it does work if you've got a local security setting problem causing this.
in the itunes 4.9 days, this particular problem used to manifest with an "error connecting to service manager = 0" error message ... and the standard "workaround" we used to have to use for it was uninstalling SP2, installing itunes and then reinstalling SP2.
(it doesn't really fix the problem ... but it does allow you to do an install or an upgrade.)

Help please,, i tunes freezing problem

i added my music library to i tunes but, while it is determining gapless playback information, it freezes.. i reinstall it many times but it is same..

Just so I'm sure I understand what you're trying to do....
You're attempting to set up an iTunes Store account and it keeps hanging up when you're DONE, and the info never goes through? Is that correct?
Are you still getting a technical difficulties message when doing this? Are you using a wireless connection? If so, have you tried connecting directly to the modem and bypassing the Airport? Have you attempted to sign on to the iTunes Store and see if the info is actually going through?
You might also try signing in on your Mac under a different user account, then launch iTunes from that user and try to set up the account. There could be an issue with your current user account on your Mac. Trying things as a different user can sometimes narrow down where the problem is. If you don't have a second user account set up and don't know how to create one, it's not difficult. Post back if you need pointers.

I-Tunes Quicktime Problem!!!!

I just got a new i-pod nano and when i go to www.apple.com/ipod/start to download i-tunes it says The installer cannot update quicktime 7 for windows public preview, please unistall it first. So i go to add/remove programs and when i click change/remove quick time nothing happens. any advice?

I am having the same problem, it starts to install quicktime before itunes the says it is unsuccessful and that itunes won't work without quicktime and the only option is to click finish which doesn't help. Got the nano as a xmas pressie and can't use it!!

I can not select songs from the search drop down box on I-tunes. Thoughts?

I have had no such problem. You can also ways backup up your iTunes library in case you have a problem so yu can just restore the library.

I tunes display problem

I have been using i tunes for some time now and i recently experienced problems with the display not loading correctly. I get a bunch of broken chain links wher the cd cover pictures should be. I tried restarting the computer and it changed which pictures had chain links but they are still there. Please help!

I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I emailed Apple this problem, and they have yet to respond (4+ weeks) with an answer.
I upgraded to 6.0, but same problem. I have done all the usual....trashed .plist, repaired permissions, zapped-PRAM....etc.
Anything new you might have found???

Tv tuner reception problem

I just bought a Pavilion dv4t-1300se with an integrated hdtv hybrid tuner. I used the provided antenna to scan for analog (ntsc) and digital (atsc) channels. I only got one very hazy analog channel. I researched a bit on the channels that I should be getting based on my location (staten island) and found out that I should be able to get a lot more than that. I do not have cable or satelite tv. And I was really hoping that I will be able to watch tv from my laptop using over the air transmission. Do i need to buy an external antenna to improve reception? Or is there other ways to make it work without costing me too much?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWQhlmJTMzw .... to receive analog TV u have to connect the tuner to cable , for over the air digital u need an antenna . so if u have no cable u will not receive analog signals but u should be able to recieve Over the air digital with an antenna , after u make the antenna in the link set up the tuner to recieve OTA digital. you can also buy a signal booster at radio shack for a few bucks to hook antenna to . google OTA antennas and TV signal boosters for better reception the antenna may need to be near a window

New I phone and I tune match problem

Have just started up my new I phone 5 and when I have first accessed my I tune match music and select a song it just cycles through all the songs one by one all 1600 of them.
Don't understand why it's doing this.

since upgrading to Itunes 8, itunes cannot connect to the store, also software update also can not connect to the web. Everything else works-email, web browsers, ftp connnections. the onlything that cannot connect is itunes and software update. I tried reinstalling Itunes 8 but I have the same problem.

I-tunes login problem

I am trying to download some apps through i-tunes on to my i-pod, but when try and log in it says its the first time this apple id has logged on to i-tunes & I need to review my account information. When I click review nothing happens and I cant find anything about it on the website.

My husband just purchased an I Phone 5. When he tries to sync his music from I Tunes on his Windows computer, some of his songs have an exclamation point next to them and when you click on that it says:
"The song, "blah, blah, blah" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"

HELP!!!! I Tunes update problem

I keep getting this message in I Tunes that ver 7 is available. I go to the web site, ask for the download, get a quick banner across the top (so fast I cant read it) and am told that the download is complete.
Looked everywhere, its not on my computer.
How do I update my I Tunes? Is there an alternate site? Is windows xp security stopping the download?
Help!!!!

[Vox] USB TV Tuner install problem

I just reinstalled MSIPVS MSI8609 on my Dell XPS with Windows XP SP2, and in trying to record from my VCR, I see much banding and line-tearing at the bottom of the window. In addition, the video is out-of-phase.
I note there is an update driver on MSI's website. In addition, I've been told this update will install WinDVR 3. Is this right? If so, do I have to uninstall the previous version? Will this new driver correct the video problems? Or is it necessary to upgrade? Are there any other upgrades that I use?

Further to previous posting, I installed the drivers from http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_detail.php?UID=536&kind=10. I now have Win DVD 3, but with the device attached to the USB port, my system (Dell XPS WXP Pro SP2) it naturally will indicate it has found New Hardware and try to install the USB driver.
However, I'm stuck, because my system is searching to find the USB driver for this device. After extracting the zipped file for the 8609 driver, I clicked on setup.exe, a few files were installed, but on restart, it still can not find the driver. I even temporarily deactivated ZoneAlarm and Norton AV for the installation -- same results.
Is there an .inf file to complete the installation of the USB driver? I never had any difficulty installing a USB driver before -- it's a simple procedure -- not this one! Yet, installing the device from the CD, was no problem -- only with the new driver and software from the above URL. The device remain unplugged for your answer. Can you help?
