I Tunes always says I am not connected to the internet and I AM! I have Firefox browser???

I Tunes consistently says I am not connected to the internet and I am--a wireless connection to my Dell computer, Windows 7 , Firefox browser set to no proxy.  I am completely disgusted with trying to fix this.  I do not know what to do anymore.
