I-Tunes Auto-Restart After Closing Program

My i-Tunes began automatically restarting when I close the window on my desktop. It is pretty annoying.
It only restarts after I have had it open. If I have not opened i-tunes it behaves. But, if I open i-Tunes to listen to music on by desktop, and then close the program when I am done, it will restart within 10-seconds.
I am using Windows 7  and i-Tunes 10.2.2.12
I can't find a solution and sfter 15-minutes of trying to find a link to submit a help request, I gave up and am trying this avenue.
Thanks
Walt
PS: In the Product selection below, i-Tunes is not one of them. Hope this gets where it needs to go.

Thanks!
Shall I create de novell partition on the new\replaced HD?
Will Novell recreate the mirrored volumes automatically or shall I rebuild them manually?
TIA

Yes. FATFS.NLM tries to mount all FAT partitions it finds, not just the
boot partition. So any problem FAT partition may cause trouble.

This sounds like your disk is physically broken. As a short term solution,
you can probably delete the DOS partition on D: but not create it again.
That way, FATFS.NLM will not try to fix the broken part of your disk. Of
course, you should as soon as possible replace your disk.
For this, you should first create and copy your DOS partition manually on
the new disk and then start your server and use NSSMU.NLM to manage the
mirroring of the NetWare partition(s).

  • Issues with restarting after a program crash- please help

Two questions regarding restarting after a program has crashed on Leopard.
    1. I had an issue where Parallels crashed and I had to restart. When restarting, the dock closes and it goes to a point where there is a circle timer. This does not stop and an error comes up stating that I need to hit the power button. Is this "normal" after a program crash and restarting? On a side note, I couldn't close the program with Force Quit. This seems to be happening often.
    2. How often does it occur for you where a program will not close with Force Quit? I've had Parallels crash and some other programs. When this happens, Force Quit doesn't do anything. Any other options?
    Thanks for your help.

You should check your startup drive as a starting point, if programs are crashing regularly. That's obviously not "normal." Run +Repair Disk Permissions+ in Disk Utility while started up normally. Then, start up from another disc and run Disk Utility to use the +Repair Disk+ on the startup drive, to look for disk directory issues (you can startup from the Mac OS X installation disc to run Disk Utility).
When this happens, Force Quit doesn't do anything. Any other options?
You can start the Activity Monitor program and quit processes that look relevant to the app. Sometimes, force quit does not work to quit an app because an underlying process keeps running. Sometimes, the Mac is not able to restart or shutdown normally because an app refuses to quit, due to this problem. It is often difficult to know if you should kill a process, so after doing it to make an app quit, it would be a good idea to restart.

  • Firefox stays active in memory after closing program

After closing Firefox and restarting the progam after a while, a popup message appears saying Firefox is allready active (message in dutch) and Firefox does not (re)start. It is not an active window however, since I closed it down...
When I press alt-ctr-del, Firefox can be found as "active"in the processes-tab.
To re-start Firefox I now manually must click on "end process" and now Firefox starts without problem.
This happens on each occasion after closing the program.
Anyone know how to solve it? Help appreciated!

  • MacBook Restarts After Closing The Screen

I have a new MacBook that I purchased the first of October. It has been running great until recently. About a week ago it started restarting itself after I closed the screen. I can use the laptop with no problem and then close the screen to let it goto sleep. When I reopen the MacBook it will restart the machine. At first I thought there was something with OS. So I installed a new hard drive and reinstalled OS X. The MacBook still restarts after I close the screen. I have installed the new firmware updates that has come thru on software updates. I am stumped. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

The same is happening here, though only intermittently. I have a MacBook 2.0 purchased in May. The issue just started within the last day or two. I have not tried reinstalling anything or swapping drives, but on the surface, this would appear to possibly be related to the "MacBook EFI Firmware Update 1.0" released and applied 11/13. This was said to address "start up and wake-from-sleep issues on MacBook computers."

Usually when the memory size changes, the system can recover.

  • Auto restart after update to IOS8 when facetime.

During the facetime my ipad have auto restart, and some the ipad is hanging need shut down the ipad and start again. but restart problem still exist.

Exchanged my 128GB iPad Air for the 3rd time this week, today. I showed the "geniuses" at the store a print out of the various postings on the site showing I'm not the only one with the problem. They only had two 128GB iPad Air's left in stock, one had IOS8 already, the other still had IOS7, needless to say I told them I wanted the IOS7. I swear I'm never ever updating this one!! They FINALLY agreed, they think its IOS8 causing all the crashes. They said they are going to contact the engineers immediately and send them the 3 iPad Air's I had this week so they can see exactly what happened to them. Hope they come out with a fix soon for everyone who does not have the ability to exchange their iPad like I did.

  • MBP (Christmas '09) 13inch keeps getting prompted to restart after closing a program; mainly Safari

      Hello all,
I got my MBP 13 inch Christmas, 2009 and loved it.  Everything was immaculate up until about 5 mos. ago.  Many wierd things have been occurring.  For example, I have had MULTIPLE instances where I would be on Safari v10.6.8 and would scroll down or click a link and would either first see the spinning wheel after which it immediately shut down, or would notice that it was taking a while to do whatever, and then shut down (Safari, that is).  I would re-open Safari and within the same time that it took to first shut itself off, it would do it again. and again. and again.  I would then usually restart the system, after which everything was fine.  On other multiple occurrances, when I would close down a program (mainly Safari... same version), I would get back to the desktop, and would, within seconds, see the "Tinted Curtain" as I call it, where the screen goes almost fully dark from top to bottom, mandating that it needed to restart, whereupon after restarting, I would get the disclaimer saying "Your computer shut down because of a problem.  Would you like to report it",Da Da Da...  I have always kept up with all updates to programs (that I use) when prompted to do so by the 'software update' thing (mainly Safari, ITunes, and Security updates), and have never downloaded anything wierd, or not authorized by Apple Co.  If anyone has any info or suggestions as to what may be going on or how to fix this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • 6120c auto restart after 15mins-8hrs.

I bought my unit from a colleague to replace the one i sent to my sister. This one works well just like my old one. But, i have just two problem. Autorestarting and Hellocarbide won't install. I am, at the moment, requesting a cer. Key with plans to sign apps myself (and hoping it could solve my prob w/ Hcarbide). But the autorestart gves me the remorse of buying a 2nd hand unit. Using SBCHFexplorer, i found out autorestart begins every after at least 10 mins to 8 hours the most. Of all things, it really gves me the hell when it happens during when i am listening to my audio files or radio. It gves a highpitched tone, then restarts. I have to open my files again or the radio. And the ttpod, i have rescan my files evrytime i open it. Whew! I have tried all posible means. Upgrade the latest firmware vr. Via nokia pcsuite, used a lower memorycard, format the unit *#7370#. Stil, the restarts persit. I used rambooster, turn off autostart apps.. Just need help so much. Can anyone recommend to me a solution, or an apps that can hold or stop the autorestarting? Pls. Pls. Hello Ravi@Sl
I believe this is because in Sandbox mode the subscriptions end every 5 minutes, but they still exist and are getting renewed periodically (since they are auto-renewal subscriptions that you can test for auto renewing 6 times a day).  So when you open the application again, the paymentQueue:updatedTransactions: method gets called to inform you of the 90+ updated transactions.
I have the same problem and I believe this is the issue.  Since your post was a few months ago do you mind confirming this or giving an update on your research?  Thank you.

  • Adobe processes keep running after closing program!

    Hello,
I have this issue with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder and Audition but not with Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc.
Everytime I close one of those programs the respective process keeps running in the background.
I can't restart the program until I go to the task manager and kill the process (AfterFX.exe, Adobe Premiere Pro.exe, pproheadless.exe)
I already tried a clean uninstall with the cleaner tool and reinstall but the problem remains.
I encountered this problem few months ago after a longer break from Adobe.
    Never had any problems before.
I cloned my complete system with Acronis on a new SSD few months ago..
can't remember anything else with much impact which could have triggered this.
    System: Win7 x64
    Software: Adobe CC

I found the Solution (for me at least)
It seems to be a driver problem with graphic cards from nvidia's 600 series.
I have installed the oldest available driver for my GTX 680 and everything works fine now (some newer drivers might also work)
I'm gonna write a e-mail to the Nvidia support and tell them what happened, pls do the same if you found the solution due to this post and
upcoming drivers gonna work well for us again.

  • Mac wont boot, auto restarts after about 10 seconds

    Hello,
My friend's mac has broken and it starts to boot for about 10 seconds, then auto reboots. He has tried booting in safe mode (holding down shift) but it doesnt change. Does anyone know how to fix it? He thinks it may be a virus, so is there a way to get it working so he can install AV software?
    Thanks, Black_Sirrah239

Great Help so far, just to add...
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there.

Actually we were given a solution to this problem:
The node manager (NM) should restart managed servers (MS) upon reboot of the box.
There is one exception however - this can't happen if the MS is part of a cluster
and it hosts a migratable service. Currently there are two migratable services
    - JMS and JTA. You need to have explicitly setup the migratable services for the
    MS via the console.
Assuming you are not using these as migratable services you must explicitly set
a flag to indicate the MS is not hosting migratable services. This can be done
via the command line. It only needs to be done once and it will update the config.xml
    file. The command line is:
    java weblogic.Admin -url t3://adminhost:port -username <user> -password <password>
SET -mbean <domain>:Name=<MS name>,Type=Server -property HostsMigratableServices
    false
You should see a simple reply of 'OK'.
Once this is done your should be able to reboot the box and after restart the
    managed server should be running.
    It worked!
    Kumar Allamraju <[email protected]> wrote:
NM will only restart managed server's if they are abruptly killed.
We have no mechanism inplace to start managed server's upon system reboot.
May be you should write some startup scripts to start WLS upon system
    start.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 will not restart after closing.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.  If I close Photoshop Elements 12, it will not restart.
To get it to restart, I have to open the Windows Task Manager and then stop the process "PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe *32".
Once I stop this process, then Photoshop Elements 12 will restart.
Is there a know solution for this?

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Editor which will bypass the welcome screen.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Editor application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
    C: >> Program Files (x86) >> Adobe >> Photoshop Elements 12
Within the Photoshop Elements 12 folder find PhotoshopElementsEditor (the application not the Adobe shortcut)
Select that file and click Next.
    Then click Finish.
You should now be able to launch by double-clicking on the new desktop icon and hopefully the application will close correctly.

  • ZEN V PLUS Restart after closing

Hi I Need Help because when i close my ZEN V PLUS,It Restart immediately
So the battery of my ZEN V Plus is alaways Emty

Thats the same problem I had too. But mine wasn't one day after buying it, thats crazy! There were no customs charges however, the only thing I had to pay for was shiping it to creative, 25 bucks I think.

  • Old Microsoft Word Doc Labels Stay up With Gestures after Closing Program

    Macbook Pro
    Early 2011
    Just upgraded to Mavericks
Don't even know if this is going to make sense... When I do the four-finger-up gesture the tags/labels (not the actual documents) of the documents I had up in Word yesterday are still up.  I've closed those documents.  I've quit the program.  I've reopened the program.  I've opened and closed other documents.  It doesn't matter:  the little label thingies are still there (actually think they're overlapping older ones now).  WHAT IS HAPPENING?!
    Thanks.

Same problem here - Microsoft Word 2008 (update 12.1.7) will open fine, and then start the spinning pizza of death. Only way out is to force-quit the app. I've tried:
    1) deleting plist and font cache files
    2) uninstalling MS Office 2008, reinstalling and then re-applying updates 12.1.0 and 12.1.7
    3) confirming that Apple's Font Card.app can verify all fonts
No luck. Currently I can't open any MS word doc without the spinning pizza of death.
If you are lucky enough that these symptoms only happen with a specific Word .doc file, I would see if the PC-originator could re-save the file as .RTF and resend. If you can then open it OK, you could revert back to .doc (or .docx) format. RTF format is Microsoft's interchange format. If there are anomalies in the .doc file, saving as .RTF can sometimes clean them up. Once done, you can revert back to native MS Word format.

  • Possible to keep contents of Java Collection after closing program??

    Hiya
Is there any classes in the java library that allows you to save contents of a collection such as HashMap/ArrayList etc into a so called offline collection so that next time when start up of program the contents wont disappear? Because i know when you close a program, the contents of the collections is obviously discarded and resetted for next start up of the program.
Or is there a way to do that?
In general i want to keep contents that are in a java collection during its use in a program session so that next time starting the program up again the collection content is still there.
