I-Tunes cannot open anymore in my latop
I installed I-Tunes in my business laptop and after putting all my music and creating playlists, now I cannot open I-Tunes to synchornise with my I-POD. What happens when I press the I-Tunes icon is that after 2 or 3 seconds a kind of DOS window appears (too fast pops up and goes out to read what it is about)
Although I do not know for sure, I think this has to be with the fact that is a business laptop and maybe the company put some stuff. Now I just do not want to lose my playlists.
==> 1) Do you know how I can go around it and be able to open my I-Tunes in this laptop. I would like to open here and I dont have IT support for this program in my company

Have you opened windows explorer, itunes folder etc. and tried to locate where your playlists, songs etc are stored. Locating these files will enable you to copy the files and ensure that you have them no matter what. After doing this you could look at a re-install if all else fails.. Hope this helps even a little?!?!

I Can't Get I-tunes to Open Anymore
I reinstalled a fresh copy of I-tunes, because when I tried to open I-tunes, the hour-glass came on for a few seconds and then nothing. This had gone on for days. Now when I try to open it, the user agreement flashes for a fraction of a second and then turns off and then nothing. I tried disabling my Norton Security but it did not help.
Any suggestions? I hate to think I will never be able to use I-tunes again.had the sameproblem for about 3 or 4 months and i were ready to chuck my ipod and pc away. So 1 day i decided to take it to the shop i bought it from. The guy there formatted my ipod, which erased all music from it and i though it was the stupidest idea i had ever heard coz it was a problem with itunes. Apparently there was a corrupt file on it, it might be the same for you. Then i went on computer and connected ipod, still no luck. So i deleted itunes and quicktime. Then i reformatted my ipod again , and then installed itunes from the cd that came with the ipod. IT ACTUALLY WORKED, believe me i were shocked but so happy. By the way uninstalling itunes shouldnt affect your music as deleting itunes only deleted the itunes files and not the music. still it would be best to back up. Try adding it to windows media player if you cant be bothered to back it up. Good luck

Either try rebuilding the library, or after Aperture launches check to make sure it's pointing at your Aperture library and didn't choose somewhere else... though in that case you would have just an empty workspace, not no workspace at all.
It could be that reinstalling Aperture would fix this. -
Software don't want to open anymore...

I used to work a lot with Mac long time ago. I still have a Mac, but since I have installed Mac OS 10.3.9, I haven't work that much. So, I don't know anymore how to debugg the computer.
Now I have problem, and don't know what to do. I cannot open anymore Safari, Software update, and more. When I click on Icon in system preference is the same. I try to open these software, the cursor turns like searching, but it can stay like that all day long. I have to force quit to stop it.
What can I do?

Exactly which model Mac G4 is it?
What is the Processor speed?
What size is the Hard Drive, and how much space is available?
How much RAM is installed, and is it original or added?
What happened between the last time the Mac functioned successfully, and when it didn't?
Have you made any changes, like upgrading the system, updated or installed any applications or programs, etc?
Have you installed, deleted, or disabled any Fonts?
Have there been any unusual occurences, like freezes, crashes, power outages, etc?
Are you able to startup from the system install disc to run Disk Repair?
THESE ARE THE STEPS FOR USING DISK UTILITY TO REPAIR YOUR HD
1.Insert the System Install disk, Mac OS X CD-ROM disk, or Restore DVD disk, then restart the computer while holding the C key. Use the System disk, of the OS, that is currently installed.
2.Once started up from CD or DVD, on the Menubar at the top of the screen, choose Disk Utility from the Installer contextual menu.
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from disc to access Disk Utility.
3.Click the First Aid tab.
4.Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5.Select your Mac OS X volume, if necessary.
6.Click Repair. If DU reports errors it has fixed, re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported.
7.Repeat steps 5 & 6, but select the Hard Drive this time. It's usually the first listed with the manufacturer's model number. Make note of the S.M.A.R.T. status.
8.When finished, select Quit Disk Utility from the Installer menu.
9.Select Quit Installer from the Installer menu.
10.In the resulting pop-up window, choose restart.
11.After the computer has restarted, you can eject the CD.
Have you run Repair Permissions?
TO REPAIR PERMISSIONS ON THE STARTUP DISK
1.Open Disk Utility, located in Applications/Utilities, and select the startup disk in the left column.
2.Click First Aid.
3.Click Verify Disk Permissions to test permissions or Repair Disk Permissions to test and repair permissions. (I never "Verify". Just run "Repair".)
Rerun <b<RP</b>, until the only messages reported, are listed here Spurious Permissions Errors Using: 10.3.x, authored by Michael Conniff.
When "Repair Permissions" is complete. Quit "Disk Utility".
Is the Mac shutdown overnight, or does it run 24/7?

Cannot open a previous saved file
Hi, I had some trouble because from my iPad Numbers app I cannot open anymore a file where I stored important data.
This happened without warnings, just appear a message saying "Cannot open file" while selecting the file
The problem is the file also disappear into the iCloud document section, where are all the other files I also have in my iPad...
On the iPad, within the Numbers app I still can see the document icon (is different from all the other with a small grey corner with an arrow inside on top right - does it mean something special?) but I don't know if there is a way to ricover the file.
Also tried to share the file (e-mail, iTunes, etc.) but the file appears as "null" and nothing happen while starting the sharing procedure...
Somebody knows similar issues and the way to ricover the missed files?
How can I follow to trust this app?

On the Mac, the "small grey corner with an arrow inside" indicates the icon is an alias to the file, not the file itself. The alias is a pointer to the location of the file. My guess would be that either the actual file is not on your iPad, or the connection between the alias and the file has been broken.
I'v requested this question be transferred to the iWork for iOS community, where you're more likely to find a definitive answer, and, I hope, a solution.

Have you tried to restart the Creative Cloud application by quitting and relaunching it, and have you updated to the latest version?
You could try to reinstall using the full three step way:

I have Windows XP & until recently i-Tunes was working fine.Now when I try to open I get this message "i-Tunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall i-Tunes. So I did. Midway thru ,installation stops & same message is repeated. So I uninstalled i-Tunes, Downloaded new one,went thru installation process for the same result & same message. Have tried procedure 4 times,resulting in same result each time. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did try to uninstall and reinstall. It messed up my computer. I had to "RESTORE" from the prior days backup. This was not helpful at all. I'm used to losing all my stuff when I connect to iTunes, that's a whole other issue, but now I'm completely banned from any updates to my phone at all. Geeze.......

Cannot reboot and I get this message The application "Firefox.app" is not open anymore.
Firefox has not allowed my computer to shut down normally for months.
I created a whole new user with a new Firefox profile, but when I quit Firefox or try to do a shutdown, Firefox closes it's windows but leaves the small dot under it's icon on the doc. Force quitting does nothing. If I click on the icon I get nothing if I go to the application folder and double click on Firefox, I get this: The application “Firefox.app” is not open anymore.
I'm using Chrome because the only way to run firefox (without a forced shutdown) is to copy the Firefox app to another name and run that. BTW, I've also deleted all the parentlock files from my system (several times). If this cannot be solved I'll have to switch to Chrome (as much as I hate Google)!

Cannot open my libraries anymore since 10.0.8 upgrade
Hello,
I just apply the 10.0.8 upgrade on my iMac under Yosemite and now, I cannot open my libraries anymore ...
I have a message : "Impossible to delete "___Sync___".
I have more than 20 libraries and all have the same problem.
There was no problem before the upgrade.
Do you have an idea ?

ThierryNot being able to delete something could be a permissions problem. If your libraries are on an external hard disk make sure right click on the disk icon in the Finder and right click - Get Info. Make sure "Ignore ownership on this volume" is checked (bottom of info window). You could also repair permissions on your boot drive.

Good morning
I have a strange problem, first time it has ever occured to me. I have a big file that cannot be opened anymore. The shortcut to the file doesn't open the file either.
The documents inside the file can be opened from the spotlight selection but it obliges me to remember all the name of all the secondary files and individual documents in it.
All the other files in My Documents work perfectly.
I thought I could change the name of the file but am afraid to do so and loose the content. For the month being I can't have access to my Timemachine because my external disk is in another home. But I'd like to solve the problem before using Time machine (I would loose all my changes in those files.
Working with OSX Lion and all software updated.
Does anybody have a hint of what could be done?

I find a solution and post it here in case it should help somebody else.
Il used the "copy this file" action and it created another identical file with "copy" added. And I opened this one perfectly. Then I just delete the original which could not open.
I don't understand why but it works so why bother?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
