I-Tunes for Windows - I-pod Sync

HI,
I have the new windows 8.1 and the new i-Tunes 64bit downloaded and installed. I cannot see my i-pod anywhere on my i-tunes and cannot sync my i-pod. Please help as I have uninstalled and installed 6 times in the past few months and not getting anywhere and trouble shot a lot too.
This would make my christmas if it got sorted!
Cheers
Stevo

  • I-Tunes for  Windows with  Lame

How about not using the I-Tunes for Windows MP3 encoder, and encoding with Lame ? Is this possible ? From where can I get the plug-in ? does it really work ? Pros and Cons ?
    Thanks for the comments

Thanks Joe for your help. I will check back. I would like to rip with I-Tunes for Windows and encode with the Lame plug-in ( it seems it is available only for Mac). I know EAC is excellent in Secure Mode, but it comes with Freedb (no composer tag info) and not CDDB/Gracenote that comes with I-Tunes and shows composer tag. The composer tag is of extreme importance to me when ripping my Jazz cds.
suse Lame, but not EAC. Eac uses freedb and not CDDB/GRacenote. I

i want i tunes for windows xp 6d bit
    Regards

There is no version of iTunes that supports the 64-bit version of Windows XP and never will be. If you search this forum for "XP 64"or do a web search for something like "iTunes Windows XP 64",  you'll find threads describing the process some people have used to "crowbar" iTunes onto XP 64, with varying levels of success, none of them complete.

  • I-tunes for Windows XP Professional x64

I tried a lot to find out i-tunes for Windows XP Professional x64 bit
but i didn't get any solution for installing i-tunes in my laptop which had Windows XP Professional x64 bit.
when i asked to other person then at last i found only one reply that,
"If i want to install i-tunes in my laptop then i has to CHANGE OPERATING SYSTEM

iTunes is a 32 bit program.
The 64 bit installer has 64 bit drivers for burning and the iPhone.
If you don't have an iPhone you should be able to install the 32 bit iTunes and then download the 64 bit Gear drivers for burning from the Gear download site:
    http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.cfm
You may need to enable scripts if you are using Firefox with Noscript.
If you have an iphone and want to try to get the 64 bit installer to work here are some links that may help:

Not from Apple. Some third party products exist that support Win98, but you will not be able to access the Music Store.

  • I Tunes for Windows 7, Compatibility Issues

When I try to download I Tunes it states it has downloaded successfully. However, I have no sound when I am in this application. In addition, when I try to open I Tunes I get the message that it has been set to a previous version of Windows, and for best results I need to turn off compatibility mode before opening I Tunes. How do I do that? Can anyone tell me how I can download this program successfully? It has been very frustrating as it appears to not be compatibile with Windows 7.

However, I have no sound when I am in this application. In addition, when I try to open I Tunes I get the message that it has been set to a previous version of Windows, and for best results I need to turn off compatibility mode before opening I Tunes. How do I do that?
With that, let's first try the suggestions from the following document. *(Make sure that all of the boxes in the Compatibility tab are unchecked,* not just the compatibility mode setting itself.)
[iTunes for Windows: How to turn off Compatibility Mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1489]
If you're still getting the compatibility mode message even though you have all the boxes unchecked in the Compatibility tab, you may have an errant setting in your registry. For Windows 7 troubleshooting advice on that possibility, see RandomBehavior's post in the following thread:

  • Unable to sync ipad2 on latest itunes software for windows, unable to sync ipad2 on latest itunes software for windows

unable to sync ipad2 on latest itunes software (10.4) on windows vista

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • HT2311 installing I tunes for windows 7

I get a runtime error when attempting to run the lastest version of iTunes for windows 7
    runtime  error!
    Program: C;/Program files/iTunes/itunes Helper.exe
    R6034
an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the applications support team for more information

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes; this won't affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • I Tunes for WIndows wont start after upgrade to 8.0.1

I recently upgraded to iTunes 8.0.1.11. After upgrade, if for some reason I need to reboot my computer iTunes will not start. It took forever to finally figure out what it was. I couldn't sync my iPod, could not get on to iTunes , etc. I finally had to try to uninstall Bonjour to make it come up. The problem is that I can never fully uninstall Bonjour. It says I do not have sufficient privileges. It will be ok until I have to reboot again or turn off my computer. I then have to try to uninstall bonjour to make it come up again. Is there a fix for this bug so I don't have to go through the same procedure every time I reboot?

As far as the sufficient privileges go.
You may wish to temporarily disable User Access Control (UAC)
This should then give you permission to complete the uninstall process like you have been doing. Also ensure you are an Administrator user on the account. That right away will cause the message to appear if you are not.
You want to ensure this gets turned back on if you do not have adequate security protection such as
    -Firewall Software
    -Anti Virus Software
    -Spyware/Adaware Software
To Turn UAC off in the easiest way possible
    -Launch Control Panel
    -Launch User Accounts
In this Window you will see an option called "Turn User Access Control ON/OFF" Click on this. A simple pop up window will appear. If it has a check mark in the box. Un-check it. Reboot. UAC is now off.
Windows security will notify you of this. Feel free to ignore it while you try to uninstall again. Repeat the steps above to turn it back on when you are ready.
By any chance have you tried a Basic Uninstall of Apple Software? and then Run the iTunes Setup file in Administrator Mode?

  • I-tunes for Windows backup

I can't seem to get a complete backup of my I-tunes library. The backup utility says I need three DVD+R discs, and the first 2 seem to burn OK, but the utility never asks for the 3rd disc. Can I do a pertial backup? Or, can I export or delete the portion of the library already on the backup discs, then just do a new backup for the remaining portion and then restore it all? Is there some other method I don't know about?
