The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address already set up on your account - if you don't have one then you won't get the reset option, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'

We are wanting to reset our ipod but when we go to erase all content it asks us for a restriction password and we have no idea what that is and dont remember ever setting one up. How do we get around this.?
Forgotten RESTRICTIONS Passcode
- Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions.

I have checked the emails that I have on file and they are correct. When I press the "Send email" button to help reset security information it is sending it to an email address that I have never ever had! Why is it not sending the email to one of the two emai addresses that ARE on file? I have no idea why it is even sending anything to that email adress or where it came from.
I have money on my account. My account is now locked. It is sending instructions to an emai address that I have never seen before. I cannot find anyway to get phone support. I have a feeling this is going to take at lest a week if not longer to fix.
Can anything be done...??Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:

The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). I updated my ipad air to iso 8 and now its asking for a vpn password I have never had one before, and even with my wifi shut off. I was told that if you reset the password then u can get in and reset the security questions, but I am having problems with it. Apple also has a page on it in there support area, u just have to type it into the search engine and it gives u a list a messages about security questions and support pages.

My daughter's itouch (registered to my apple account) is asking for answers to security questions that I never answered and it won't let her buy anything from the iTunes store. I tried a hard reset to original settings but it still asks for answers. How do I reset the security questions or get rid of them appearing altogether? I'm using ipad2 with ios5. My outbox won't send mail. I guess i need an outgoing server and can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions on how to get it to send. I have tried everything, rebooting, ensuring passwords are correct, etc.
