I tunes is recognizing I pod but wont let music download onto the recognized ipod

I have family members who have new I pod touches and both Ipods are showing up as recogniesed but when we go to move songs over to the ipods it just doesnt load. However the ipods that we have been using for ages are still downloading music fine. Please tell me if there is anything that we can do to fix this.

*****! Sorry to here that. I had a similar problem when I got mine also. If your trying to use it on a PC instead of a Mac, the problem is a setting on your computer, not a problem with your ipod. I had to read the fine print in the manual to figure out how to solve the problem with my computer in order to get my ipod to work. You might try the manual on-line too. Sorry I can't be of more help-it's been almost a year since I got mine. Good luck!
