I-tunes loading never stops

I recently updated my i-tunes music player to the latest version but when i wanted to open it nothing showed up??? I checked in my taskmanager if it was loading and yes there it was, but after having the computer on for more then 5hours it never stopped loading up no screen nothing just the process. When i turned my computer off it first said *stopping .... i-tunes* it also said that it run stuck... When i restared my computer it still didn't run but when i opend it in save mode it would run, while running in save mode i turned up that agreement window i agreed an it run in save mode. Then i restarted the computer in normal mode and still it didn't work even after i agreed it. The last time it didn't open that fast it was because it took a while for my computer to open that agreement window but this time nothing really nothing. I hope someone can help me with this issue, cuz now i have to use windows media player and that program *****:P.

just upgraded top Firefox 4. When I click on the Add-Ons in my left sidebar, "Loading" remains with a b linking red light and never completes. Can anyone help me? I click on "Loading" but nothing happens.

By default the "Get Add-ons" tab is selected if you open the about:addons page (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons).<br />
That page tries to load content from the Mozilla server and that can take some time especially if the Mozilla servers are busy.<br />
You can click on the Extensions tab to see the installed extensions or one of the other tabs to see other installed add-ons.<br />

Start up keeps loading never stops

When I turned on my Macbook today the start up keeps loading. The little circle keeps spinning. Its never done this before. Can somebody help.

I am now trying to install snow leopard from the original cd (2008) so i could open ios from elsewhere. We'll see then if our computers are done.... But the installation seems to go normally for now. Keep you posted on that

I have a MacBook Pro Retina mid 2012, 2.3GHz running on Yosemite and my problem is that when I turn my computer while pressing alt key, it shows me my three drives: Macintosh, Bootcamp and Recovery 10.10. However when I launch my recovery, a loading starts (the same as the one as when I start my computer) but simply never ends (I waited all night...).

i had the same problem after i took my mac mini home from work for a weekends. after 5 boot fails i ran it in recovery mode (cmd+r after power btn on) and checked the hard drive. but it was fine. i saw the wifi ico at the top right corner and connected mac to my home network. maybe wifi connextion helped or disk check, but after the reboot it finally started. good luck

No, you cannot downgrade your iOS device. That's not supported by Apple.

My Creative Cloud wont show the Apps, it says download Error contact support. And on the Home Menu on the creative cloud for MAC desktop it just loads and loads and never stops. Help please!!

Imac stuck at white screen loading and never stops.

I recently ran a virus scan, and may have deleted important Apple files. Now, ever since I've turned it off, it won't come back on past the loading screen. It just keeps spinning and never stops. I did a hardware scan and everything seemed to be good. Do you think I should reinstall the boot discs? Will this be a problem since it won't stop loading? Any other suggestions?

My time machine keeps backing up 87.6 MB of 87.6 MB again and again and again.
I erased my time capsule drive ('0'ing out never did complete - seemed to hang at the very last stage - but a quick erase seemed to work perfectly) as I wanted to start fresh after putting a bigger HD into my Macbook Pro.
I have 'verified' my backup with no errors shown.
I have deleted the 'in progress' file (more than once).
Now the time machine says: 'Backing up 87.6 MB of 87.6 MB' and never stops.
If I delete the 'in progress' file within the sparsebundle it just prepares the files and gets back to this point again.
I usually backup over wifi but have bee trouble shooting over ethernet connection.
I just checked and it changed to 'backing up 130 MB of 130 MB' and now 'backing up 131.9 MB of 131.9 MB'. But it has been working continuously ever since I manually started the backup (again) this morning - without finishing or re-calculating anything.
Cant find any solution in the pondini FAQ.

Despite having little faith in getting a resolution I thought I'd post my latest update (in case anyone else is suffering the same fate).
I guess I will take everything down to an Apple store and see if they can help.
I was having issues getting the Time Machine Buddy widget to load and realized that the 'Dash board' was not working at all so I deleted my dashboard preferences.
Once I got Time Machine Buddy working l looked up and saw that my time machine has given me the error message: " . . . Time Machine must create a new backup for you." !!!
I don't know/doubt that this was related to my backup issues but have now just finished a complete new backup after erasing my entire backup drive (once again).
I have excluded my drop box and google drive folders- just in case.
It seemed to be working OK (hardwired over ethernet).
BUT now Im back where I started.
I did notice that sometimes the number of MB being 'backed up' was continually, but slowly, growing yesterday. It went through numerous 'attempts' Eventually it got to 'cleaning up'. And did for well over an hour……. (I went to bed)
I tried again this evening and it once again made a number of backups.
My time machine says that the oldest backup is 4pm yesterday (even though, yesterday it had an older backup from the night before) and my most recent was yesterday at 11:49pm - and it ran all night!!!!!

Why fans never stop (macbook pro)?

I have a macbook pro retina and it's fans never goes under 2000 rpm, even if i have no app running... and even if the cpu temperature is 20 celsius, fans never slow down...
I can't believe that fans never stops in my macbook pro retina display that bought in movember 2013...

Well this is a good report- you know your Mac is functioning how it was designed.
Fans are always running. And have always ran continuously, Retina model or otherwise.
Idle speed is ~2000rpm
If your Mac is under a heavy load the fans can ramp up to ~6000rpm. At that point you know your fans are on!

Yahoo Mail not being downloaded, never stops "Checking for Mail"

Since the first time I synced since the new itunes version and the 1.0.1 update, I have not received any mail populating into my Yahoo account. I tried the restart, shutting off the other email accounts, etc.
I does not push, and when I try the Refresh, it never stops "Checking for Mail".
My gmail works fine.
Anyone have any ideas to correct?

Same here but a little stranger. Two items:
(1) If I go into my Yahoo Drafts, or Sent, or Trash, check mail works fast and I get the "Updated 8/26/07 time" message fine and it's accurate.
If I switch to Yahoo In, the initial footer says "Updated 8/14/07 xxx" and has said that for a week or so. It quickly changes to "Checking for Mail" and then never stops.
Anyone else see the "Checking for Mail" only on the IN box but not the others.
(2) I have been sending test emails to Yahoo (basic account). #1 happens as above (ie no mail seems to arrive). But if I scroll to the bottom of the IN box and click "Load 25 more messages", it does seem to pick up the new messages. "Checking for Mail" is still going strong. This seems to work most of the time.
Anyway. Not sure it this may help anyone figure this out.

the system is the latest archlinx x64, and now i am using kde 4.6
the problem is that the fan of my laptop keeps running all the time and never stop.

The warning is there so that people realize they need to be aware of the possible outcome if they don't properly check their fans during the setting up of the software.
The guide even suggests to keep a constant watch on the CPU's temperature during testing, and suggests how you can immediately spin up the fans to max in case of a too high temperature:
Second warning: Some of the steps outlined below describe how to tweak fan speeds. Before doing this be sure you have a low cpu load and are comfortable playing around. If at any time during tweaking you notice the CPU temperature start to rise dramatically, do a echo "255" > /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon0/device/pwm1 to spin up the fan all the way until things cool down. Basically, you should know what you're doing before fooling with the configuration file.
Alternatively, there's a fan control deamon called dellfand. A related topic can be found here:

Essentially, all these tools do the same. The temperature is polled and the fan speed is adjusted.
As far as I know, there is no alternative way / graphical tool to do this for you.

Very Loud and Never Stopping Fan

Hi,
I purchased my HP laptop in September 2010 and for the past few months the fan runs constantly and is very loud. Even after shutting down my laptop for hours, upon start up the loud fan begins. It has gotten so loud and distracting that it is now hard to focus and use the laptop.
Any feedback would be appreciated. I remember when buying the laptop something about a year warranty on hardware. Does this exist? This issue needs to be resolved.

Well, the never stopping fan can be due to a number of factors, most usually:
1)      You have a dust build-up in your heat sink (which may not be apparent by just looking through the vents). Unfortunately your computer’s cooling system also acts as a vacuum cleaner to all those table tops it has been on. It is a common nuisance after over a full year of work. Cleaning it up may require disassembling the whole computer, since the heat sink is inaccessible on many computers. (Word of caution: if you are thinking of using “Canned Air” to blow the dust out, be very wary that you may destroy your fan bearings if the canned air makes the fan blades rotate too fast!)
2)      CPU may be under constant load (maybe some new buggy software update was installed?) – Check CPU Load on “Task Manager”.
3)      The GPU (graphics card) may be running always at full speed, thus increasing the heat inside the unit (change GPU profiles to “Battery Optimized” or such).
Finally, do use a program such as “CPUID Hardware Monitor” to read out the temperature sensors inside your computer. You can better understand at which temperature the fan kicks in and why the temperature is rising to that target.
