For the last week or so everytime I sync my IPad, after completion, I Tunes locks up. I have to use "Task Manager" to stop the program (which indicates "not responding" then restart to sync IPhone. Any suggestions and how to avoid, never had this problem before.

Lets see whether this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?

I Tunes locks when adding playlists

I have a huge music library. I use playlists simply labeled A to Z to organize my music. The music is stored on an external hard drive, and this system has always worked great. I am in the process of recreating the lists on a laptop, which I have used extensively with I tunes, so this is not a new function. I got all the way to the T's when it stopped working. Everything that is set up works fine, but any time I drag a new file over I tunes locks up. I have been unable to find an answer to the problem. Would appreciate any suggestions.

This is actually an error with iTunes. I am using iTunes and Vista, and my DVD Drive is disappearing. I have pinpointed the problem is iTunes. Not sure if you are using Vista, but iTunes is causing the drive to disappear. I removed iTunes all worked, installed iTunes and got an error. HELP APPLE!!!!! The GERA driver is the problem, when I disable this and uninstall it my drive works, but now I cannot Rip and Burn CDs with iTunes.

I Tunes Locking up

I've recently been having trouble adding music files to my ipod. Every time I try to add just a single song from my library to my ipod, Itunes will freeze up and wont respond. Ive tried reinstalling Itunes but I still have the same result. If anyone could let me know why this might be happening or what i could do to correct it i would appreciate it.

I-Tunes locks up after importing

I just purchased a 30 GB video and am in the process of importing cd's to I-Tunes for syncing to the I-Pod. After 1 cd is finished downloading I-Tunes locks up and will not respond. I have to force quit the program, restart my computer then I can import 1 cd, then the lock-up happens again with I-Tunes.I've downloaded the latest version of I-Tunes and have tried the repair program through the add/remove software.
Help!!

I Tunes Locking Up As Soon As I Try To Watch Apple TV

This started about 2 weeks ago. I have 2 Apple TV and 2 Apple TV2 on a wired network. When I go to connect to the computer, I can see the list of the Movies, but not the picture Icons, all that is there is ADMIT ONE ticket. And I cant play anything. I can get to the internet and the store but not to my movies or music. Then go back to computer and I Tunes has the spinning color wheel and has to be forced quit. I re start, and can watch movies on the computer, but as soon as I try on the Apple TV, again lock out, and color circle wheel on computer.
Out of ideas....need help.
Tried uninstalling I Tunes, and re installing but don't know how to do a full uninstall, everything comes back automatic.

Since it's happening on two different browsers see if repairing permissions from your Tiger DVD helps.

If the problem still occurrs after doing the above, disconnect all devices from your computer except for the keyboard & mouse & check for conflicts.

I tunes locked?

ok so i have been using itunes, without problems untill just the other day. i keep getting the error "The foler "iTunes" is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder," when i try to open up the program. I am an administrator on my user account.

You may be able to work round it by starting iTunes with the shift key held down. When asked to choose a library, navigate to your iTunes folder and choose iTunes Library.itl

Possible security issue when locking screen

I am using an iMac with OS X 10.5.5. I have set up my system so that every time I switch on my iMac I have to login and I can also lock the screen.
I am also using iTunes 8.0.1 (11). I use GimmeSome Tune version 4.2 (2945) to automatically fetch lyrics and cover artwork. I leave the lyrics window in GimmeSome Tune open all the time. When I lock the screen the screen turns dark but the lyrics window stays visible. From the tab on the lyrics window of GimmeSome Tune, I can select fetch lyrics again. When I do that GimmeSome Tune fetches the lyrics and updates the current track in iTunes with the lyrics.
Technically GimmeSome Tune is updating a file from a manual user intervention when the iMac is locked and I am not logged in.
My Concern:
I don't mind it when lyrics for a track is updated this way but using a similar way a confidential information on the iMac can be displayed and updated even though the iMac is locked.

That's the thing. The password is activated but still you can have Gimmesome tune update a track with he lyrics. You can try this out:
Start iTunes and start GimmeSome Tune (of course some track is playing)
Open the lyrics window from GimmeSome Tune
Lock the screen through Screensaver or keychain
Move the mouse and you will see the login screen and the GimmeSome Tune lyrics is there also.
Now from GimmeSome Tune lyrics window you can get a drop down menu, located on the lower left corner, and ask it to download lyrics to your track.
This is the problem I see. OSX should not allow this to happen when you are not logged in and the screen is locked.

Itunes launching, freezing, not reading devices xp, how to fix?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

Unable to restore iPhone 5, stuck with white screen

While restoring iPhone 5 to original settings it got stuck.
Now all I have the white screen with apple logo, it's been like this for hours.
Every 10min or so the screen goes black and back to the white screen with apple logo without progress bar.
Any suggestions?

No details of why some V20’s have been pulled.
Nokia will keep the details close to their chests whilst keeping their usual poker face!
It could be server overload, or a server failure. It could be just a restructuring for further updates to be made available. More likely it’s something else. I have checked a few developer sites and some posts mention an update bug causing failure in app and new feature integration after download. This has led to some apps not being available and other new functions, such as the alphanumeric keypad remaining as numeric, and the Nokia tune locking as default ringtone; but all these are just speculation.
Let’s hope they will be back up soon, and the variants that many of us need are released.

I tunes 7.3.1 Video problems and Lock-ups

Anyone else having this problem, I tunes 7.3.1 installed on Vista either locks up immediately or if i try to play a video the audio will run fin but the video is very choppy and can not keep up with the audio at all, and eventually will freeze then I tunes will have to be forced to close.

I have this exact same problem and it is very annoying. I don't understand how to check if the drive is SATA or RAID or what the significance of the rest of the conversation is. Did this solve the problem for you? If so can you help my solve it on my computer?

I sloved this issue by resting my phone from settings>general>reset>reset all settings...the problem will be fixed

check if you have read & write permissions for your music folder. in the finder, right-click on it and get info. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings if necessary. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and apply to enclosed items like so
the important part is to apply to enclosed items !
