I tunes radio doesn't play selected stations ?

radio keeps jumping to alternative station than that selected - how can i play station i selected ?

I haven't had this problem but I have had a similar problem where it doesn't play but keeps skipping songs. Try restarting iTunes (actually closing it instead of hiding it in the dock) and if that doesn't work sign out of the iTunes Store and Sign back in. That resolves most of my iTunes online issues.

This is a clarification of an earlier question.
So you can create a station with a "seed" which can be an artist, song or genre. Once itunes creates that station you can modify the station with the available "more like this", or "Never again" buttons, but there is also an option in the desktop version below the stations where you are offered a "play more like this" > "Add artist, song or genre" and itunes is happy to let you fill in any artist and it shows you possible matches from which you can select. That artist is then shown below your original seed in a list for that station. However, itunes has never played any songs by any of the artists I've added to the station via this method even though they are there in plain site as "seeds" for this station. I always have to create a whole new station with the desired artists to get any songs by them. I've had these new artists seeded/listed for months without any songs played by them on the station. Why create this option if it is never functional? What am I missing?

Fm radio doesn't play

For my iPod Nano 5th generation, the FM tuner will not play any more.
     --> I can select the tuner
     --> When I turn the volume wheel, I do hear the clicks ==> I just don't hear the music
     --> Changing the station doesn't help
(Yes, headphones are plugged in. Without headphones, I still get the menu display that informs me that the headphones are the required FM tuner antenna)
I also did a complete factory reset through iTunes and this still didn't solve the problem.
Has anyone else heard of this issue before?

For anyone following, I looked further into the tape cassette adapter and it seems to get the best reviews vs. FM transmitter. Guess there is a good reason that I have the last year model with a tape cassette. Worth mentioning is the Maxell one gets a better review than the Monter one. Not sure why, but it's cheaper. Anyone else find a good quality tape cassette adapter?

Streaming radio doesn't play in bayckground

I have the app radio.com on both iPad and iPhone. On the iPhone the streaming audio continues to play when I switch apps. But on the iPad it stops playing when I go to another app. How do I get the iPad to do what the iPhone does and continue to play?

As long as you have updated to the latest iOS, it should work the same way your iphone works. THe earlier ipad iOS versions did not support multitasking but the newer ones do. Current version is 4.3.1.
If your iOS is current:
1) Press and Hold the Home and Wake Sleep buttons until the Apple Logo appears.
2) If that doesn't work, try a reset, To reset go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset.
If you have tried both 1 & 2 above, next thing I'd try is call Apple support at this link: http://www.apple.com/support/expert/
Or you can take it to an Apple store to see an expert.

Radio won't play my station

Why won't iTunes Radio play my custom station?

There is no error message. I can create a station with an artist and the radio will play based off that artist. It seems that the radio stops playing if I add too many artists. I do not know the threshold. I have tried several times to create a station with my favorite artists, and at some point it stops playing and won't start back up. I have tried powering down and restarting my iPhone but it does not help. I am almost ready to go back to Pandora or Slacker but I would like to keep using this because I like the wish-list function for iTunes.

I will click on a station and receive a message saying "getting playlist" but then nothing. I am working at work behind a firewall so I was wondering if that had anything to do with it. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas why this is happening. Thanks.

I tried playing several streams from the posted website, and all 'wanted' to be played within Safari using a Windows Media Player plug-in. I could not get them to play in iTunes. It may be that you will have to download and use Windows Media Player for Mac. If you want to hear them thru Airport and the Airport Express, you will need to use an application called Airfoil http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/audio/airfoil.html. Hope this is helpful. Check the Airport Express discussions also for help.

Radio doesn't play correctly

I have windows 8.1, a minimum of 17gps internet speed, the latest version of iTunes, and more than enough RAM but when I try to play the radio on my PC it will skip every so often. It is very annoying and makes for a bad listening experience. I've tried clearing temp files, closing out of all webpages, restarting iTunes and the computer. Please help.

Itunes radio doesn't play anymore

I can log-on and acess my stations, but when I click the play button it just seems to freeze at loading, and I just get a 'candy-cane' striped bar underneath the song title. Any help?

Itunes radio doesn't play whole song

I'm new to iTunes, so if this is a stupid question please excuse me.
I'm using iTunes radio and I"m noticing that many of the songs are not being played completely. Is this normal?

Two I-Tunes radio stations do not play. What do I do?

On my laptop, my two favorite I-Tunes radio stations do not play. They are DI-Hardstyle and DI-Tribal House under Electronica. When I play them, they either skip to another station or it just gets stuck saying "getting playlist." I did not used to have this problem and I don't have it on my other computer. What can I do to listen to them again? Thank you.

Since the "UPGRADE" I am unable to play my radio station that I have listened to before without problems. Now what? I am beginning to regret this iTunes 7 "UPGRADE." I am a member of the station and have always listened to it at

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

Can't tune Radio Station - Radio Margariatville

Neither station will tune in when I double click.
Other stations will tune in.

It's a bum URL, and doesn't work with any player I've tried (iTunes, QuickTime Player, VLC). Note that I only tested the 64kbps stream.
Update: I just opened the stream URL (http://radmarg.sc.llnwd.net:12105/) with my browser and checked the SHOUTcast status. The server is down.

May have something to do with whether or not the URL can be reached while building your widget. I've got a video on the web. When I enter the URL into the field for the video object and click to another field, the URL is replaced with some text indicating that it is accessing the video then updates itself to displaying just the name of the video file.
It shows just fine in preview and I can see the full path to the video when I export the widget so it should work for you.
Is the video accessible from your Mac while you're laying out your widget?

Mix "MY Stations" on my I-Tunes Radio

How do you mix MY Stations on I-Tunes Radio. I have lots of Stations that I have made and I would like to have them mixed sometimes. I can do it on Pandora and I would like to do it to I-Tunes Radio. Does anybody know if this can be done? Please, let me know it is possible. Thanks. Mark

Thank You, Michael... I couldn't find any place where I could do this , but I thought I was missing something. Maybe with a new update, Apple will see this problem and give us the option to do it. Maybe they can use the info that they receive when I push the star button...
