I tunes spliting albums up for no reason
For some reason my itunes splits up certain albums. The files have all the correct id3 tags but yet when itunes displays the album it is separated. Can somebody help me?

Try selecting all the tracks, using Get Info & making a common change to Artist, Album & Album Artist, e.g. add FIX onto the end of the text in each field, then apply. This should ensure the text is different from it's current values and ought to merge them as one album. Have you tried deleting from the library only & then reimporting the tracks into the library?
I'm not really sure how common it is, but I've run into it before when trying to merge multi-disc albums into one. I like to have one album name rather than Album Title, Disc 1, Album Title, Disc 2 etc. and I also renumber the tracks consecutively although these days I retain the disc X of Y information.

I purchased the Killers new album and for some reason now my computer says it can't find the files. So I tried to download the album again off my iTunes acount but the cloud button won't appear. Does anyone know why this is happening?
These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download. I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them who are requiring the one-time only download restriction. To get it onto your other devices you will need to sync it via a computer. Depending upon what country that you are in, Audible.com have their own app (Audiobooks from Audible) so you might be able to buy direct from them, though I don't know whether you can buy within their app or download audiobooks directly from them within the app e.g. whether they need to be copied via a computer. -
Tunes won't sync for some reason
I have been using the same Itunes library as my sister to download songs to my iphone. It worked when I first bought the phone- the songs from the library all managed to sync to my iphone no problem. I have since added a few albums of my own to the library, and when I put the cd in the computer it asks me if I want to import, which I do. The problem comes when I click to sync my iphone, the following comes along the top 'Syncing Martin's Phone --> Syncing Contacts --> Syncing Bookmarks --> Syncing Mail Accounts', but it does not sync the tunes from my library to my iphone. I've been on a few techy forums but can't seem to get anywhere. Anyone any ideas?

Cannot Download Album Artwork for Albums I Know Exist on iTunes.
Hi.
Recently I decided to clear all of my album artwork. I selected all of my albums and right clicked on an album, selected "get info," checked the box next to "artwork," and clicked "ok."
With all of the albums already selected I successfully downloaded all of the art except for 20 albums.
For some reason I cannot download the album artwork for twenty albums I know are available on iTunes.
Any help would be much appreciated.

One of my apps (actually on my daughters i phone 5) has been "waiting for 4 days to update. Rebooting doesnt cure it nor does trying to delete it - it wont delete. I have looked at her i tunes account but she hasnt sync that for ages and the actual app isnt in i tunes but just on the phone. For some reason the syncing isnt working either in realtion to this app. There is adeqaute memory - good strong wifi signal. Any ideas??
Download the app on iTunes under her account (you've already paid - you won't have to again), then sync the app across to the phone that way and it should clear it up.
It's possible the app is too large to do over the air and it started on wifi but wasn't able to continue and got corrupted. -

I downloaded a movie last night from iTunes and it downloaded to my laptop and my phone but for some reason it now won't play on my laptop. The album artwork on my laptop has gone and it exists perfectly on my phone. What do I do?
I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? Whenever I try to click on the movie to make it play it just does nothing like it's not there. The file for the movie exists within my iTunes library files but I can't seem to click and drag it into iTunes or open it with iTunes. My ipod touch(4th gen) just recently had the iOS 5 update.bu for some reason about 80% of my music collection appears with no album artwork and doesnt play any songs.basically it has my music on their but wont let me access it? please help!

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any real-time scanning process.

I was downloading an album off of iTunes and it did not download one of the songs for some reason what should I do?
Does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option find it ? If not, then depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries), does it show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes for downloading (if there is an complete download of the track listed in the Music part of your library then you will need to delete it from there before it will get the cloud symbol in Purchased for redownloading) ?

i have transfered some vynil albums to my ipod and for some reason a few of the tracks have doubled up on some of the albums, why is this??

For whatever reason a recent purchase came up 18 times as a full album in my iTunes account. I only purchased one album and am concerned why this would show up 18 complete times in my iTunes account as well as worried that I will be billed for 18 purchases of one album.

when I add tunes from a CD into iTunes on myMacPro, shouldn't I be able to see them on my iPad and iPhone if I've got iCloud? For some reason I thought the advertisement on TV said "add music here, and see it there.." or was that just photos?
Oh, wait -- also, you took about uploading CDs. I don't think *those* would automatically go to your other devices *until* you subscribe to iMatch or whatever that's called. You have to pay an extra $25 a year to get all your uploaded stuff in the cloud and therefore on your other devices. Anything you *purchase* from iTunes on one device would automatically be sent to the other devices.
I did the Match thing, and it took a while at first to upload all the non-iTunes stuff, but then it worked. The whole thing is still new and has some kinks to work out. -
for some reason the only photos that do the random scrolling are photos in the events section of iphoto. is it possible to include the albums from iphoto to scroll as well. the know the albums have synced because i can view them in slideshow pls help

I assume you are referring to the screensaver. You can change the photos used by the screensaver in the screensaver settings. Note if you have a large number of photos in the collection you choose for screensaver, not all of them will be used due to the limited storage available to the Apple TV. -

I had this problem too. It has now been fixed in the latest update 11.0.1.12, and works like a charm again !

Imported photos, deleted originals, then iphoto crashed and lost everything
