I tunes wont download 4 new ipod
i got a nano last yr for xmas. this yr i got a newer 30gb ipod. i have itunes 6 and it works for my old ipod but it wont work for the new ipod. the new i pod says i need itunes 7.0 but it wont download. i save itunes and when i press the setup icon it wont work. i have been trying to use this ipod for 3 weeks now and it wont work. what am i to do????????? do they send out itunes 7.0 on a disc????
Windows 2000
You should get an install disc along with your new iPod - if iTunes 7 is required, it will be on that disc.

You must update to itunes 7.6. You must download, and update your ipod to version 1.1.3 verify on the summary tab in itunes when you plug your ipod in. If you have already purchased the update then you should now be able to sync your ipod and the apps appear. If you have yet to successfully purchase the apps yet purchase, and resync. (you can view your purchase history from itunes store account settings, to check whether you have successfully made the purchase already. Also when you sync your ipod the first time to get the apps to show up, you must be set to automatically sync, not manual.

I'm glad I was able to help. I kind of wish mine hadn't worked because I ended up being one of the "lucky" individuals where my phone didn't restore from the backup and I lost all of my contacts, calendar appts, notes, etc. It took me an extra 2 hrs last night to rebuild the next month worth of appts and try to rebuild my contact list from my yahoo contacts. Oh well. I will be getting an android at my next upgrade. I'm tired of all of the BS that comes with owning an iPhone.

Transferring downloaded tunes from previously downloaded to new iPod?
Ok, so here is a dump question. I currently have an iPod and would like to upgrade to an iPod Touch. Am I able to download all of the tunes I have already downloaded on my MacBook Pro to the new iPod device? Want to make sure there aren't any restrictions so I don't have to repurchase all of the tunes. Many thanks for any advice.
No restrictions, just connect the new one to your computer and sync it.

So i recently plugged in my 3GS into my normal computer as usual for a sync. After the sync was complete, so error occurred and erased all the data i had on my phone. Fine, i figure since my info is syncd, i can restore to natural settings and reload all the data again. I Got an error that read, "The iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9)."
So i read on apple, that maybe i need to update my i tunes software, as i did i recieved another error message reading"THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS ARE USING FILES THAT NEED TO BE UPDATED BY THIS INSTALLER". Support said to update InternetExplorer, and i did. Nothing changed!
Any Ideas out there peeps?i need help too! i just got a new ipod nano. and i went to download itunes like 50 times.. and everytime it downloads it says it is not a valid WIN.32 application? and ive tried so many different things? can anyone help me!?

How are you connected to the internet - through a wireless router and cable modem?
Are you downloading from the itunes DL page, and choosing SAVE instead of run? -

Are you getting any error messages while syncing your iPod? Do all of these movies play okay in iTunes?
Have you doubled check your sync settings for movies on your iPod from under its Movies tab in iTunes? See this article for more information.

Computer wont recognize my new ipod
my last 30gb got stolen so today i went out and bought a new 80gb. i install the new itunes 7 and it doesnt recognize my ipod, the new hardware thing pops up and asks me to enter a cd but the new ipods software is in itunes 7 i guess? i have no clue what to do. please help...thank you
yes ok then.... downlaod a prgram called ipod wizard from www.ipodwizard.net
the only thing this program will do is tell you wether your ipod is actaully on your computer.
If it shows up there... try uninstalling iTunes 7 and then put an older version (6) back on. Then try to sync ure ipod. -

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your Compaq Presario CQ57 Notebook and issues with installing drivers. First, try to click the Windows icon, type services in the Search box, and then click or tap View Local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type should be - Automatic, and Service Status should be - started. Restart the computer after this step and try installing again. If this is not automatic and started that is why you can not install drivers.
Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase.
