I tunes wont install ive tried a lot of things

Im trying to update itunes. at first it immediatly claimed that drive J:\ was non existent. i fixed this in command prompt and it now starts to install just fine for about 5 mins when it tells me that drive J is too long. What the **** is it talking about and can anyone answer this?

yes and it did help. It got my computer start downloading. It inslalled most of the update but then it told me that the path was too long.. and when it says that it asks me to retry or cancle and the retry button doesnt work

Well, turbo.264 is indeed very nice to have - even for converting full-sized movies. (Nevertheless, TechRadar's latest roundup (see http://www.techradar.com/news/software/applications/6-of-the-best-video-converte rs-for-mac-1074303 ; also linked from another roundup at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/benchmark-excellent-multimedia-converter-handb rake-vs-commercial-apps ) has shown it's still worse than HandBrake in most respects.)
All H.264 files (assuming they are H.264 level 4.1 or lower) are compatible with the built-in Videos app.

It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. Yeah, you're pointing in the wrong direction when you blame the issue on your iPod. Reference the KB article mentioned above, http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302335 and then check your windows user settings in the Windows Control Panel and then ensure that you are an Administrator of the computer. If not, login as one and uninstall/reinstall.
If that fails, check to ensure that the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service is running by typing "services.msc" (without quotes) in the Run menu (Start/Run/services.msc).
Lastly, try running the iTunes installer file after you have disconnected from the internet (physically un-plug the network cable from your computer if you're on DSL/Cable/LAN) then disabled your anti-virus software.
If these steps work for you, please let us know here on the forums. If not, we'll still try, but remember, this is an Apple forum, so to expect a lot of Windows answers may be like going to your barber for advice about your overbite.

TS3212 i tunes wont install correctly

ive tried to download itunes three times to my windows laptop,
the system runs and everything seems to work but when i then try to open it up it says the entry point wasnt found and then the itunes wasnt installed correctly.
this is extremely annoying as i can not tranfer any music from my laptop to my phone

What browser are you using??? Its best to use Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.....

on 1/23/14 i had an update for my itunes on my windows 7 pc i think its the 64 edition... anyway the update failed and said apple mobile device failed to start
verify that you have sufficiant privleges to start system services... it gives me an option to ignore abort or retry ive tried all of those and i have tried uninstalling and re installing itunes i even tried shuting down after i uninstalled and after i reinstalled however when i reinstall i keep getting the same message apple mobile device failed to start verify that you have sufficiant privleges to start the system services. is there any way to fix this or what do i need to do i have never had this kind of a problem before

I have installed and removed the software at least a dozen times. I have tried to install thru winRAR and get the same error message. The error message is about 100 characters long. The install stops, backs up, and then proceeds forward. When trying to use iTunes after the install, another error message pops up saying that iTunes needs Apple Support Application, not found and to uninstall and reinstall AGAIN! I have removed the install, and cleaned the registery, 3x wiped the free space, and rebooted.

Ok so i just downloaded itunes on my windows 8 laptop and every time i open it i get an error message that say it could not be found so then it said to try and redownload it so i did and it still doesnt work.(ps i looked at differnt ones and tried but it wont open)

i had a very old version of itunes when i opened the program it notifided me of a update. i clicked to download it and the install failed. every times i try to istall i tunes it gives me the message "there is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as a part of the setup did not finish as expected. contact your support personal or package vender. I downloaded intunes multiple times and they all give the same error

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

make sure your iPhone is disconnected, open task manager, click on the processes tab, and find itunes.exe or something that says iTunes and right click it and click end process, then close task manager, and open iTunes. Should work

I have used Firefox on this Apple (10.6) but now tend to use Safari. It is still in Applications but wont open.Ive tried down loading it again into computer but it wont accept it.

I have an Apple running 10.6.
Normal browser is Safari but want to use Firefox for something that it apparently runs better on.
Firefox was used when I 1st got the computer & is still in Applications folder
App's folder says its 10.2 MB

Note.. I also did a new password with the account and I know that is operating because it led me to this error message again... FB does not post this Sorry message as a common error message.. But I know from looking at forums that others have gotten this in the past.. I have no idea what is the problem.

I had it then when I upgraded to the i phone 5, itunes prompted me to upgrade
so I did and it installed. But it does not recognise my phone just says
