I tunes wont recognise internet connection
i am trying to use the radio service... but everytime i select the radio option in itunes it comes up with a popup saying that it cant recognise my internet connection and to reconnect.... any tips or helpers would be awesome

Safari won't work and Software Update doesn't recognise internet connection
I'm using Safari Version 4.0.3 (4531.9) and it won't browse to any website. I initially thought it was a problem with Airport so I unplugged and restarted my Airport device but Safari still wouldn't work. Then I noticed that I was still getting email and when I tried Firefox it worked fine. So I thought perhaps I needed a software update for Safari but when I tried to run Software Update it said it couldn't connect to the server and to check my internet connection. I clicked on the Network Diagnostics link which came back saying that my internet connection was fine. I then Googled a bit using Firefox and saw some posts which suggested move the .plist files out of the Library/Preferences folder. I've moved the com.apple.Safari.plist and com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist for all users. But it still hasn't helped. What should I try now?

Great clue FF uses different DNS & Proxies than Safari that uses Sys Prefs...
Try putting these numbers in Network>TCP/IP>DNS Servers for the Interface you're using...
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Then Apply. These are safer/faster than most ISP's DNS numbers, and have been patched against DNS poisoning.

Open System Preferences>Network>Configure>Proxies Tab, make sure none are set, like for HTTP & HTTPS. -
RV220W won't recognise internet connection
My RV220W is sitting behind a Dynalink RTA1046VW ADSL Modem.
Can't get the RV220W to detect an internet connection through the WAN port. Have got the PPPoE profile set up etc. Have tried the Dynalink in bridging mode, but to no success. Tried the setup wizard.
Firmware is current: v1.0.2.4. The connection is picked up ok through the ethernet ports.
Any clues out there?

AlanThis has been resolved. Essentially what nailed it was as follows:
1. Factory reset the modem.
2. Modem set to bridging mode
3. Modem IP left at the default 192.168.1.1. The router & rest of the network are in the 17.23.50.xxx range. Putting the modem out of range like this seems to be significant as, from what I've heard, these low end modem / routers see it as their mission in life to run the network, despite what they're set to.
Now I have the Cisco picking up the connection on the WAN port using the PPPoE profile. It is also running DHCP, which never really seemed to get off the ground.
There are other outstanding issues which I will post elsewhere.

Search takes 3 times to recognise internet connection after update
Hi - after updating to iTunes 7.1.1 the Search works only after 3-4 attempts. The error is that it doesnt recognise that I am connected to the Internet and asks me to check my network settings. Only after I press Search 3-4 times does it work. Occassionally it will work 1st time but then I click on a search result and the same thing happens.
I've used iTunes for a few years now and it only happens since this upgrade. The only change I made is adding a Bluetooth dongle to connect to my Nokia phone. Any ideas out there?

My i tunes wont recognise my i pod
Recently my i tunes has stopped recognising my i pod when I plug it in which means I can't transfer any songs I've bought or manage any of my music!
Any ideas? I have tried re-setting my i pod but this still doesn't make it work. My computer recognises that it is plugged in and will charge it but my i tunes doesn't!
Any help much appreciated!

Extreme wont get internet connection
I have an Airport extreme and its worked for over a year with no problems what so ever. Yesterday it stopped working, i.e. the green light turns to amber. I then unplugged it from the power for a min and then it started to work again. This morning I stopped getting internet so I unplugged it again and waited and waited and still nothing. I did a hard reset and then still nothing. I have no problem connecting to the actual Extreme but there is no internet. I didn't change any settings and no one knows the password. I live in an apartment building so I don't have access to the modem. Are there any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The fact that gs.apple.com was in your host file to begin with is an indicator that your computer was used to jailbreak or hack an iOS device at some point in the past. You can not get help here for a hacked or jailbroken device. If your phone was hacked or jailbroken, Apple won't touch it.
RecBoot and Tinyumbrella are hacking tools.
Google "iPhone DFU mode".
Try restoring in DFU mode. If that doesn't fix it, make an appointment at the genius bar and see what Apple has to say about it. -
Itunes wont recognise my iphone 5
Ive just got my iphone 5 back from being serviced and tunes wont recognise my 'fixed' iphone 5s. All my data was backed up to itunes on my pc and i need to restore it to the phone. Help!!!!
does it show up in my computer as a camera or not at all?
have you tried connecting to other computers to see if it's detected there to verifcy that the conector is not damaged and causing the device not to be recognized by the computer? -
iPad mini wont allow in app purchases, it says can't connect to I tunes , my internet connection is good and restrictions is off. Also won't allow on iPhone or another iPad.

I can't get FaceTime or iMessage to connect, I enter valid password (tested and works for Apple account) and it won't connect. I have checked all settings, upgrades iOS to 8.3 rebooted, changed Apple acount PW still wont connect. My internet connection is fine Safari works and I can access all sites. I have an iPad 2. Out of curiosity, do you have 2 step verification enabled? It was recently extended to include iMessage & FaceTime & I'm wondering if it might be causing some of the issues that some users are experiencing. -
why does iTunes keep giving me bogus error messages. "Your internet connection is not working, check your connection and try again." My internet is working fine. iTunes is not working and will not allow me to download tunes.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off. -

i have been trying to add in the latest software and it downloads and almost runs through it all then errors at the end and tells me the internet connection has timed out even tho it hasnt and i have no internet issues.

New hard drive....how do i use my ipod now?
My computer recently crashed and I had a new, 80 MB hard drive installed. Prior to the crash, iTunes on my computer and an iPod. My iPod battery is nearly dead and it still has songs on it. I just re-installed iTunes using the disk my iPod came with.
