Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. (And there is no need to SHOUT.)

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My ipod keeps "turning on" the apple will show up, fade away, and then repeat. It has been doing this for hours.

I tried the home and power button thing and the screen went black. then i hit the power button and it continued to do the same thing. i tried plugging it in to my wall, my charger recognised that it was charging. i tried plugging it into my computer and it made a sound like something was plugged in. but nothing came up.

If you are stuck at the blue screen then you can try booting into safe mode (hold shift during boot) and then run disk repair. If that still doesn't fix it then you might have to reinstall OS X. What version of OS X are you running?

I just can't get it to load. Lion icon in my launch pad is just saying 'waiting' it has been like this for 24 hours. Any help?

are you on the most up to date software 10.6.8? try checking through Software Update.
you can also sign out of itunes store/app store and the sign back in. I've read that this resets things where it prompts you to resume. you need to sign out of all computer and devices with the specific apple id acount you used to buy Lion for this to work.

Computer shuts down and starts up by itself. I have 27" mid-2011 model. Has been like this for 2 years now. The hard drive and the mother board has been replaced already. No help, the problem still returns.

Yosemite is installed. But the problem has happened with every operating systems.
Disk utility can't find any problems.
No usb or other devices are connected.
I deleted the file: com.apple.PowerManagement.plist (someone suggested that it may help)
I think it's not the matter of heat, because the problem occurs right away when starting my comp.
With a safe mode it sometimes stays up for hours. So could it be a problem with applications, rather than hardware?

HT4314 I am trying to log into the Game Centre App and it keeps telling me I could not connect to Game Centre Server.....it has been like this for 4 days. What's going on?

I have been trying to log onto the Game Centre App to try and combine my son's Hay Day accounts (he somehow has 2 of them now although we used the same Apple ID when we set up his new iPad mini at Christmas). It keeps saying that we cannot access the server. Anyone else have this problem?
Also, why is it that when I set up his account on the new device it game me a different user name?
