I type in my email address to be sent an identity verification code but I keep getting nothing

I bought a new laptop and in the Settings and Accounts it tells me to verify my identity on this computer. So I follow the process and it says a code will be sent to my email address. However, nothing is sent to me! I've been doing this for 3 days now
and still nothing! I'm absolutely outraged! Somehow, I added my cellphone number in the microsoft account and I got a text message with a 4-digit code. But it is not the code that the computer wants (it asks for a 7-digit code).

My itunes account is attached to an email account that I no longer have and cannot retrieve. I have been having trouble with purchases made to my itunes account and want to view my purchases. The support center said that they would email me the purchase history. However, I don't have that email address. I'm sure it is one of my devices as we have 4 ipods and 2 iphones. How can I get my account to use my current email address? If one of my devices was registered using my current email address as it apparently was, do I need to figure out which device that is and remove the email address from that account? I'm so confused. Your best bet would be to try resetting the password to the account that you would like to use via iForgot
Once you log in to that account change the email address to anything, it can even be fake its just a placeholder
After you do that you will be free to change your old email address on your appleID to the new one that is now free to be used as it is no longer attached to the other account.

My iphone has a different AppleId (without an email address) and I can't find the password, but it keeps wanting this old id for app updates.

When I add a new app on my iphone I see the correct AppleId, but later when I try to update the app, I am shown an Id for which I have no password. When I try to reset,I never receive an email. Are you trying to update old apps? Those apps would be tied to your old apple ID, the one you use to purchase the apps.

Can I delete a previous recipient so it doesn't show up on the list when I start to type in an email address?

I have some "bad" email addresses in my iPad mail that keep popping up when start to type in an email address. On my Mac, I can delete previous recipients in the Mail program, but it doesn't carry over to the iPad, even when I synch it. Is there anything I can do to get rid of previous recipients on the iPad (or iPhone!)?

Can I get to my email page without having to type in my email address and password every time?

I have windows 8 and when I click on my tile to get my emails it takes me to a screen to type in my email address and password. I don't want to have to type in my email address and password every time. Is there a way to save this information so when I click on the email tile I will automatically go to my email page?

I changed my Apple ID to my new email and now cannot find any way to access icloud. Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then setup iCloud with your new ID.
You can't change the Apple ID for your iCloud account, you have to delete it.

A couple of different approached:
Create a second AppleID for one of you that includes the email address and phone number you wish to use for messaging, but do not apply it to the iTunes and app store (just keep the current one). My wife and I do this and it works quite well. Also allows for easier syncing of Contacts , notes etc. using icloud if you wish to do that.
Add additional emails/phone numbers to the existing account and change the Send/Receive settings for Messages. this will not fix the Contcts isues for you however.

They're probably in Mail's previous recipients window. Click the Window menu, then Previous Recipients. You can search for and delete addresses from here.

You can get your Security Questions reset by contacting iTunes Support at either of the two links below. Select the best options for your issue, or provide specific information. Let them know you are contacting them concerning Forgotten Security Questions. They will get back to you via your primary email address, usually within 24 hours. Once your Security Questions have been reset, you will be able to go in and reset your Rescue email address on your account:

You mean the addresses that come up in autofill? If so, restoring your phone as a new device, in iTunes, is currently the only way to remove this data from your phone. You either do that, or you live with it.

Edit the list the comes up when you go to the Window menu and select "Previous Recipients".

Have you checked your spam folder as well as your Inbox ? If it's not in there either then you could ask the sender to try re-sending it (and to double-check the address) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1541
