Try to create a new Firefox profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Itunes was working fine and all of a sudden when i try to change song/artist (etc) info on any of my songs in the info box it'll change but when i click ok nothing happens, it won't change...

Unable to edit my songs in my shuffle, such as deleting songs from my shuffle and adding new songs into it.

When i first bought my shuffle a few years back, i would use the itunes in my old laptop to add/delete songs from it. However, recently i realised im unable to do so on my new laptop (using itunes). Today, im unable to add/delete songs from my shuffle, using my old laptop or new laptop. Need help on this, as im unable to change my songs in my shuffle. Appreciate any help or suggestions.

CRMToolBox gives you an option to work on webresources. Alternatly, You can export the webresource, work in Visual Studio and use the browse button on the webresource editor to upload the updated file.

ITunes 8.0: Unable to Edit Multiple Songs / Loss of Menu Bar Function

I upgraded to iTunes 8.0 today but am now unable to use any of the top menu functions, as I click on them and no choices pop down from each of the File, Edit, View, etc.
Also, when I go to update the information on multiple files, the information editing screen appears quite scrambled and doesn't allow any changes to be made.
Is anyone else having these types of issues?

I'm having the same menu bar problem in iTunes 8.
Also I've noticed there doesn't seem to be a way to view all of the songs contained in my library, like I used to be able to in previous versions. (The fact that I can't access the preferences menu item – because there is none –doesn't help.) Workaround for now: smart playlist. But I really don't think I should have to resort to that.
And sans menus, I can't turn my visualizer on either.

Unable to Edit Downloaded Song Information - iTunes 11.0.1.12

I downloaded an album, which I found that I could edit half of the songs. However,the rest of the songs are grayed out. I searched, but I couldn't find how to fix this issue. I read that turning off iTunes Match would help, but that didn't do anything. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Unable to edit/change songs

Recently my nano/or ITunes stopped allowing any changes to my playlists. It is allowing and adding new song purchases (somewhat random placement) but is not allowing me to capture and drag/move songs??? What's up?? I tried creating new list, same problem.

How do I edit the songs on my ipod through itunes w/o having to update all

I just recently got an ipod and I'm loving it. I am a heavy music downloader and am also very particular about how my songs are organized (no duplicate artist names, songs, etc.)sometimes a song slips my eye, so how can i edit my songs and artists on my itunes and match it back to my ipod without having to delete them all and update the entire library again?

Thanks a lot for the help and the quick responses (this discussion site is great)...so one more (Very elementary) question...you both say to sync the ipod "again", how do I do that? I know you sync the ipod when you simply connect it to the computer but after I make song edits, do I manually disconnect then reconnect to automatically update the ipod or is there a drop down button on the top of the itunes page that I can click?
So the run down:
1) Connect the ipod (sync)
2) Ipod settings on: (manually manage music) or (automatically update)
3) Edit the songs desired in: (my library) or (in ipod)? - which one should I do so that I don't have to do it twice?
4) Then resync the ipod to match the library (how do i "sync again")?

Unable to Edit Title/Album Song Info on Untitled Tracks

Hello, I'm having some difficulty with my iTunes. I have dozens of songs that I have imported from old CD's, but when I click Get Info, the Info section is grayed-out and will not let me edit the songs' names, CD, artist, etc.
I have tried using the Get Track Names. When I do, I get a pop-up stating: "CDDB info not available for some of these items." I have also made sure that my iTunes folder and the folders within have the Read-Only option unchecked. This is really getting on my nerves and would appreciate any advice for why I can't edit my songs.

Unable to edit song info

I've read through numerous other posts on this but cannot find a good answer. I recently got a new album and I dragged and dropped the files into iTunes. Unfortunately all the songs show up as "# Song Name" and no artist or album given by default. When I inspect the properties of the song files in Windows Explorer I can see that I have full access and the information IS there, but it does not show up in iTunes. I am also unable to change the song information in Get Info for this album but I can still change info for every other song in my library.
OS is Windows 8.0. I'm using the up to date iTunes.

Unable to Edit songs due to copyright

Songs that have been put into my itunes went in all messed up...when I click get info to edit the songs, I'm either not able to change it, or I make the corrections but then when I hit OK, it doesn't make the changes...I called apple and they said its a copyright protection that won't allow me to edit. He said there is a 3rd party program that will allow me to convert the songs on the computer and then when I transfer them into itunes, I'll be able to edit...anyone know what this program is???

Never heard that one before because it is not correct.
Either the songs are *Read Only* or you do not have full *Read/Write permissions* to the song file.

Feature Request: iTunes to merge the "Song Name" & "Artist" fields

This is a feature request that i would like to see in a future release of iTunes. The option to merge the "Song Name" & "Artist" fields together. This would be a very valuable option when surfing your iTunes Library thru your iPod, Front Row, or Apple TV.
Let me explain:
Not everyone knows at the top of their head who sings a particular song. This is especially true when someone other than the owner of the iTunes Library is browsing through it.
Let's say that I want to browse my ENTIRE music collection all at once. The easiest way to do this, is by browsing thru the "Songs" list because it creates 1 massive list displaying ALL the songs in the library, without having to jump into different fields. The current problem with this, is, it only lists the name of the song. There are 2 problems with this philosophy. #1 - You must know who sings the songs to have any chance of making this a useful option because the artist is not displayed. #2 - It puts them in alphabetical based on the song name. Once again, not a very useful way to make this option really functional because you will have the Artists all over the map! Keeping the Artist's songs together makes it a much more feasable option.
The solution, I feel, would be to have iTunes create an "Option" that would allow users like me to make iTunes merge the "Artist" & "Name" fields together. Make it an option so that users who do not see the benefit to this, would not have to use it. By doing this, I could now surf my ENTIRE collection via the "Songs" field in a very logical approach.
For an example, let's take a song: Artist - "Def Leppard" & Song Name - "Pour Some Sugar On Me". By clicking this option, when browsing thru the "Songs" field, it would now display as: Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me. This allows me to browse my ENTIRE library while at the same time, keeping "like" songs together, and making it very easy to distinguish whether or not it is a song I want to select. By knowing that Def Leppard is a Rock Artist, it helps to distinguish the song.
I work for a custom AV integration shop that has put hundreds of music servers into homes. We have been teaching our clients the benefits of this for some time now, with great feedback. The only problem presently, is it requires the users to have to re-edit every single file by putting the Artist's Name & the Song Title into the "Name" field of iTunes. Very time consuming! As well, because you also have the "Artists" name entered in the "Artist" field, you get Front Row displaying the "Artist" name twice, once in the song name, and once in the artist's field.
Any feedback would be welcomed.

You might be able to get where you want using Chaotic Software's MediaRage. It can automate and batch tag editing, including building a Title tag that combines Artist and Title and, to possibly address you other problem, blanking the Artist tag.
MediaRage is not expensive and it is very powerful, you can even define regexs for how to parse tags.

Unable to edit info in itunes????

Hi,
I have recently got a new PC, and I am having problems with itunes.
Here is the details:
The hard drive which contains itunes music folder has been put into the new PC has a secondary drive.
I added folder within itunes and all my music is now there.
I am now unable to edit any of the information within itunes.
I right click on a track and select get info, and where I used to be able to edit artist name, track name etc is now just greyed out and I am unable to edit.
Can anyone please help with this

The solution may be as simple as making sure the files have not become read-only during the xfer to the other drive. It happens sometimes when files go from DVD to hard drive or hard drive to network drive. Right-click a file, choose Properties, and remove any checkmark next to "Read-only." You can remove the checkmark from multiple files by selecting them all first, then right-clicking, choosing Properties, and clearing the "Read-only" box.

I found one other way to do it. I just deleted them all out of my iTunes library. Now I can re-import them from Window's My Music file with the original artists' names intact.

My iPod Touch Gen 4 Vers. 6.1.6 Won't Update Song Titles, Artists

- Should be latest version, but I can't find "About iTunes" so I took this version from my Control Panel
Windows OS: Windows 8.1
I recently reformatted my iPod and have downloaded a bunch of songs. I have edited the song titles and artists within iTunes. I then synced my iPod Touch, but it kept the file titles for some reason. I've clicked "Get Info" on a file that I know that I changed the title on and it doesn't show anything bizarre. It says the proper title and artist as I had changed them.
I've deleted everything on my iPod already and tried to resync, but it keeps syncing the same titles. Nothing is greyed out from what I can see either. In the "What's on my iPod" tab (my iTunes is in French, so bare with the translation) it shows the correct names but on my iPod it does not show that name; it shows the file name.
Taking all that into account, how do I sync songs with the correct titles and artist namas as shown in iTunes?

Oh, OK. Not too concerned that it'd warrant another restore, but I'll stick around to see if it gets fixed in a newer iTunes version maybe. I had looked here and on Google for answers but didn't see anything really specific to my model, and a lot of people aren't even able to sync at all, so lucky I can at least get songs on it!
