I uninstalled Adobe Photoshop Extended from my mac, I deactivated it...now I want to install it again but the installation window told me my serial is wrong

Last monday I was to change my computer for another one, so I uninstalled adobe photoshop CS6 extended from my mac, I deactivated the software. Yesterday my boss told me there was a delay of the new mac so today I tried to activate again my photoshop but the dialog installation window showed a message "you serial number is incorrect, contact costumer service"...please help me.....

    you may have tinkered with the partitions,get the recovery cd set.if you still want to use ubuntu try using the live version or use the wubi installer,it installs in a windows partition as a program(you can safely delete it later from add or remove programs) in this way you can use both of them at your choice..

    1) Apps are not part of the backup, only data stored by 3rd party apps. But you can redownload the apps for free again if you use the same account you did when you bought them the first time. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
    2) See this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 and find out what's in your backup.
    3) Backup your itunes+ library (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1382 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751), which will copy your Mobile Applications folder, and save your iphone backup folder as well
    In other words, maintaining a backup of your computer is essential.
    When you resync your apps from your computer to the phone, make sure your computer is authorized again. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420

    I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
    But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
    iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
    This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.

    and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
    Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.
    Actually, no it does not tell you that.
    FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.

  • Transferring Adobe Photoshop Elements from old mac (externalHD) to new iMac

    Is it possible to do this transfer?  I am not very techie and I tried one thing I thought might work...but of course it was too easy.  I dragged the APE folder from applications in old HD to my desktop.  Then I dragged it into Applications folder in new computer.   I got a msg saying that licensing for this product has stopped working...there's a problem that requires restarting computer in order to launch program.  So I restarted and then got the same msg....and it says if continued to see this msg then contact IT administrator or Adobe tech support and mention the error code 6.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

    You need to re-install using the original installer.

    As long as you have a legitimate serial number, you can just download a trial version of the version you need from the public Adobe site, install it and input your valid serial number upon installing it.
    You will need to apply all available updates, as all downloads are of the original release.
    The Extended and the Standard version of Photoshop are one and the same binary.  It's your serial number that makes it Extended or Standard.

    If your copy of PS was for Win, your installation disk is not compatible with Mac.  You can't use a Win serial number on Mac either.  You would need to contact Adobe Customer Care and request a cross grade.  Depending on which version you own, this may no longer be possible.  I believe CS6 still qualifies for cross grades though. 
    Another option is to join the Creative Cloud Photography Plan ($9.99/mo) which includes PS CC and Lightroom which will run on on both Mac & Win.

    All Photoshop versions through CS6 came with platform-specific licenses, either Windows or PC.  You could get a cross-grade of platform swap at a nominal cost but not for older versions, only for whatever Photoshop versions was current at the time.
    CS3 is totally out of the upgrade or cross-grade loop.  You'd have to buy a new license for CS6 Mac or subscribe to Photoshop CC, as Trevor points out.
    Curt Y is correct in that CS2 will not run on current Mac-Intel machines.  You would need a used Mac G5 or G4 with a PowerPC (IBM) CPU, which have been obsolete since mid 2006.
    Of course, you could run your Windows  on your Mac if you installed and ran BootCamp or Parallells.

    I answered my own question: There's a difference between "download' and "install." Hunt for "install" (1.5 hrs in my case) and line up your passwords, Adobe ID, etc, then install. Took 15 min. The right choice shows up in Applications. Now it's on to figuring out why photo selected for edit in iPhoto does not show up on screen in Elements.

    Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
