I uninstalled CS3 just like the instructions. Want to reinstall and can't?

Hello. I up grade my operation system on my mac and had to reinstall PS. I went to application folder and uninstalled like the directions. I have the PS, CD with serial number and when I put in the CD I don't have or see the install icon. There are 3 icons on the CD. Read Me, Documentation and Goodies. Can you please help? Thanks in advance.

Hi Diane,
First, the Design Premium CS3 applications should nominally work running under 10.7. This version (CS3) has support for native Intel processors as well as the older PPC chip architecture. Something to be aware about is if you were running any of the apps under Rosetta (PPC emulation) then you will have problems in 10.7 (because Rosetta is dropped in 10.7).
Adobe phone support should not be stating that CS3 isn't compatible with 10.7. Did you upgrade because of that statement? There are lots of new features in CS5, but if you upgraded soley on that bad information then I can put you in touch with someone to get a return. Did you get a case number for that call? We need to make sure those agents have correct and valid information.
Second, so you have the setup icon on the installer disk, but when you launch it there's no option to install Ps? If you can post some screen shots that might help understand what your seeing.

    I am going to make a new packaging for a product my company is going to launch next month. The packaging is cylindrical in shape and made of paper twisted and wound around a cylinder.
    I have completed the label in Adobe Illustrator and it is a square image. Now I want to design the label in a twisting shape that wounds the cylindrical container just like the pringles chips paper container label.
    Please give me some tips or instructions that can help me design the label in my desired form. Thank you...

You may, based on the cut version showing a cut that starts and ends at the corners (Smart Guides are your friends):
1) Create the full label going all the way round, as the basic rectangular/square shape (works with both a rectangle and a square, the latter just having the same width and height), with all the artwork;
2) Decide the number of cuts;
3) Create a straight slanting path from the top left corner (you may use the Line Segment Tool) to somewhere further right at the bottom, then with the Reference Point in the Transform palette set to top left change the W value to the total width of the rectangle divided by the number of cuts, this will give you the right angle;
4) Move a copy of the straight path from 2) to the right by its W value;
5) Select both straight paths from 3) and 4) and Ctrl/Cmd+J to join them thereby creating a parallellogram with twice the W value from 3)/4);
6) Move copies of the parallellogram to the left and right by the W value from 3)/4), repeating until you have more than covered the original rectangle;
7) Leave the leftmost parallellogram where it is (covering the top left of the original rectangle) and move the others down by the height (of the original rectangle/the parallellograms), leave one where it is and continue with the remaining one(s) until they are all placed below one another;
8) Move copies of the original rectangle from 1) down by its height until you have rectangles behind all the parallellograms;
9) For each set of parallellogram and rectangle, select both and Object>Clipping Mask>Make;
10) Select all and Group them;
Now you should have the final shape and look of the cut rectangle as a group of clipping masks, made digitally; you may use that as it is to cut a single label, or you may:
11) Move copies to the right by the W value from 3)/4) to have multiple labels to cut.
This obviously requires a rather accurate cutting, but it may be less critical than usual, given the nature of the twisted label.

Try deleting Flash cookies.

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back
in to the Cloud for things to work

Here's an interesting bit: iTunes will let me restore my iPod touch from backup: it's still running iOS 4.3.3. I figured as much... there's backups showing in the Preferences -> Devices list for both devices (and even my old, long gone iPod touch 2G), but my iPhone (on iOS5) isn't giving me any such option. I remember I had to downgrade before to get the backup restored (something went haywire in the setup assistant, and I couldn't restore a backup from iTunes there)... If it was possible to go to iOS 5.0 rather than 5.0.1 I would just do the same thing again, but iOS 5.0.1 isn't an option. I attached a screenshot. Hopefully Apple can get this nonsense sorted out; I think iOS 5 might be the root of this, somehow.

MBP hard drive beeps after Snow Leopard Upgrade, just like the unibody

After upgrading my MBP to Snow, it is now beeping from the hard drive every 10-15 seconds, just like the videos that were posted of unibody MBPs beeping in 10.5.8 (which Apple released a firmware update for).

sure. I'm using seagate 500gb hdd. But still better than 10.5 where I can not start the system at all.

Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.

Generally, in iTunes, all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist to keep things together. For older iPods each track from the same album should have the same artist, or be marked as a compilation where appropriate. For iOS devices you may need to go to Settings > Music > Group By Album Artist > On.

Photoshop elements 10 should be able to open those files if you update to camera raw 6.7

Just tell them you have an E-Mail saying that it is International and they should change it. If they ask for the E-Mail just save the picture and forward it to them.

One you start up the new one for the first time, Setup Assistant starts and offers you the option of migrating your old Mac to your new Mac with Time Machine, among other choices, as the source. You can also use Migration Assistant (in the Utilities Folder) to do the same thing.
