I uninstalled Foxrire because it is loading mulitble copies but NOT showing an icon.

Foxfire is loading multiable copies. If I open Foxfire it will show an icon. When I close Foxfire the icon is not shown. But if I try to un install Foxfire I get a dialog box telling me to close Foxfire. There is nothing to close. When I shut off my computer I see the Foxfire dialog box "Save files, Quit, Cancle" in the upper right corner for about 1 to 2 cseconds before shout down. Everything operates very slow.
I uninstalled Foxfire and I am using Internet Expolrer. Fix Foxfire.

  • GDM loaded and active, but not showing login-screen.

    Hello Archers!
    At the very beginning I would like to say "Hello" to all forum users!
    I recently started using Arch Linux, after moving from Win8.1 to Ubuntu and then to Arch. I've went through a struggle of installing proprietary AMD graphic card drivers and finally managed to get it working. Although that was achieved with a little sacrifice - GDM stopped working. I can still run Gnome with "startx", but I can't get login-screen to work. Any ideas what happened and how to get it working?
    I'm using xorg115 and proprietary AMD graphic drivers.

    EDIT
    Tried symlinking
    /usr/lib64/dri
    to
    /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules
    And made that error in Xorg log disappear. However, gdm is still not working. I'm getting stuck at
    [ OK ] Reached target Graphical Interface.
    I can still log with other tty and startx manually.

  • Acrobat Plug-in loading but not showing in menu

    I had developed an small plug-in in C++ using Acrobat XI SDK for Adobe Acrobat X pro.
    the plugin works 100% in my development machine.
    But when I copy the api file into other users computers the plug in does not show in the menubar.
    when I generate a system report in Acrobat, the plugin is showing as loaded, but it doesn't show in any menu.
    any idea?
    someone told me that I need to register a prefix for my plug in, but I cannot find any location to register.
    thanks
    Oscar

    Certainly you need to register a prefix, or you may duplicate the plug-in ID, menu ID, and selector and tool IDs from samples or other plug-ins.
    But you can quickly test for this problem by removing all other plug-ins.
    Check the "only registered plug-ins" option is off.
    I can't advise using the Acrobat XI SDK for making Acrobat X plug-ins. Traditionally, uplevels SDKs will make plug-ins that don't load in older versions of Acrobat.

  • IMDB pcitures load in IE but not in Firefox. WTF?

    Until recently, when I opened IMDB in Firefox 3.6.10 or Internet Explorer, I could view pictures and text however, recently while text and pictures still appear on IE, only text shows when I open the site with Firefox. Please advise.

    With IMDB on display, click on the [[site identity button]] and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
    First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
    Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
    This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [[Images or animations do not show]].

  • Pdf docs will load on MacBook but not iMac

    I have an iMac and a Macbook Air. Both bought in the past three years.  I am running a proprietary back end database which uses a browser as a front end and is Java dependant..  Both have current versions of OS Mavericks, Java, safari and mozilla.  The database contains pdf docs that are displayed with the standard pdf icon.  When I click on the icon in my MacBook, they load into Word or Adobe on a separate page.  When I click on the icons in my iMac they do not load.  Does anyone have and ideas?

    Hi.  Thanks for the quick reply.  I realized I was not clear.  The docs are resumes.  If they are Word docs, they open in Word.  If they are pdf, they open in Adobe Acrobat Pro.  These open fine on my MacBook Pro, but not the iMac.  When I try opening them on the iMac, I get a Java error message.  Any ideas?

  • Slow web page loads on Mac, but not for PC

    I use a D-Link wireless router (DI-524) for my PowerBook G4 15" and my roommate's Dell PC. Very recently I seem to get very slow web page loads with some pages not even loading at all.
    Airport is consistently connected with no drops at all and when I'm downloading something it never gets interrupted the whole way through.
    My roommate's PC has no problem whatsoever and all of the web pages that he visits load instantly. It seems that my main problem is with web pages.
    I've tried doing a clean install on my Powerbook, I've tried resetting the router (I've tried upgrading the firmware but the router decided it didn't want to work with the new version). And surprisingly, I get the same slow speeds when I hook up my Powerbook to my router via ethernet cable. The only time my speeds are perfectly fine is when I hook up my Powerbook directly to the wall (I dorm in a university so we have a T3 line).
    Can someone please give me some advice on this very frustrating issue?

    In addition to Neds suggestions, empty the Safari cache (which should be empty after a clean install).
    Goto the Safari Get Info screen (in Finder or in Dock if you have Safari there), click the triangle on languages, and disable those you don't use.
    My Safari response time was significantly slowed after the 10.4.5 update, and using the combo updater took care of that. The 10.4.6 combo update is located here.

  • Loading from local but not remote HELP??

    Hi
    I've created a flash "app" that works 100% on my local server but not on a remote one, I'm connecting to a MySQL server using flash VIA php.
    Weird part is the fact that I can delete and add to the database but it doesn't want to read from the server and populate a datagrid???
    If I test the php file it gives the correct output in IE and the flash file is in the same directory(and domain obviously) it just doens't read\load it?
    Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!

  • In app purchases payment type - gift card, loaded in itunes but not found in app

    So I just bought two $50 gift cards and loaded successfully. But when trying to purchase in-app, it wont accept payment type (credit card is maxed, hence the gift card in the first place). And so I changed the payment type to "none" in settings, but now it says insufficient funds. How do I spend the gift card monies in the app ?

  • Movie loads on Firefox but not IE (surprise?), but also not in Safari??

    I am a novice, but it's hard to do anything wrong using iWeb. I tried sharing a movie made in iMovie to iWeb on my .mac account. The movie only plays on a Mac (or PC) using Firefox. Both IE (what a surprise! joke...) and Safari will not load the movie. It's 8.2 MB, orig size about 3.2 GB. It's understandable that the movie might not load on IE, but Safari - same Mac used to create the site. Note: it does load in Safari, if I am simultaneously running Firefox and have the page with the movie open and loaded, otherwise it just hangs and shows the big Q for Quicktime, but no movie... Any ideas. PS. When I send the updated site to a folder on my Mac, it works fine, but when I post it to .mac, no go.
    Thanks for any help for this novice.

  • LR3 camera profiles loaded but not showing in develop

    I checked in - documents and settings\all users\application date\adobe\camera raw\camera profiles and Nikon D700 and many more seem to be loaded. However these do not show up in camera profiles in "develop". Anybody any idea why not ?

    Hi Beat. I am shooting with a D700 in raw. In the develop area of LR3 and under "calibration" there is "profile: ". In the drop down menu I currently see ACR 4.6 / Adobe standard/ Camera D2X mode 1,2 and 3. It also incudes Camera landscape neutral / portrait / standard / vivid. I normaly use Camera standard as this gives me about what I want, but I have only had LR3 for a couple of weeks now and am experimenting.
    If you go into the Adobe LR3 programme under documents and settings and get to camera profiles you see two options under "camera profiles"  -- ADOBE STANDARD / CAMERA
    CAMERA is from Adobe shipped with LR3 which has 61 cameras showing which are Canon/ Nikon (to include D700) / Pentax and Leica.
    IF as you say LR3 knows I am shooting with a D700, why does the camera profile for D700 not show in LR3 in develop and in the area stated in my first line above, or am I misunderstanding somethig here ?

  • Creative Cloud apps loads forever and does not show a list

    Hello.
    I am trying to install Photoshop using Creative Cloud, but for some reason when I click the apps tab, it shows a spinning loading icon indicating that it is doing some work, but it never finishes and I am not able to get a list of my programs like I can see on pictures on the Adobe website.
    Do you know how I can get it to display my apps? Is there a way to get logs on what is going on? Can I re-download Creative Cloud or is there some other way to fix this? I am not able to use my purchased Photoshop because of this problem.
    Best wishes

  • Flash Player Loads Some Content, But Not All

    Hi, this problem recently cropped up and I don't really
    understand what the underlying problem is. Anyway, the main problem
    with the flash player is that it only partially works--some content
    loads, while others don't. The only examples I can think of off the
    top of my head right now is: www.orisinal.com--the page loads fine,
    but when loading a flash game, it simply stalls on the load.
    Another one is www.starcraft2.com and www.diablo3.com. For the
    former, the areas in which images/screenshots should be placed show
    nothing. The main menu interface is a still image of a door.
    Nothing is clickable. This is what similarly happens to the latter
    site. The odd thing is, other sites using flash such as youtube,
    gamespot, and others work fine. These problems occur BOTH in
    Firefox and IE.
    I've tried numerous things. Uninstalling/reinstalling in and
    out of safe mode, using Adobe's uninstaller, deleting leftover
    registry keys after uninstallation and then reinstalling, following
    the SubInACL procedures listed here on the forums, but all of them
    lead to the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

    Possibly the cache and/or settings that are stored on your
    computer
    relating to the particular site. Try deleting and
    retrying.

  • Error when loading 6 children but not 5

    Hey, thanks for looking at my post.
    Do you know of why it would be that I can only load 5 assets from the library and not 6?
    I have a main class in which I load a StageElements class. the StageElements class has the 6 objects. when I take out one of the objects it loads fine. but I put it back and it tells me:
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at asFiles.projectOne: :StageElements/loadBackground()
    at asFiles.projectOne: :StageElements()
    at asFiles.projectOne: : ProjectOne/loadStageElements()
    at asFiles.projectOne: : ProjectOne()
    when addChild for 5 different objects they load fine onto the stage when I publish. but then I add a 6th object and  it tells me that error. this has been driving me bonkers all day!
    any help much much appreciated!!!
    PS: each of the children work because they all work independently.

    Thanks Kalisto.
    Here is the code I have:
    package asFiles.projectOne{
         import flash.display.*;
         import flash.net.*;
         public class StageElements extends Sprite {
              public var logo:Logo;
              public var btnMainMenu:BtnMainMenu;
              public var btnNext:BtnNext;
              public var btnBack:BtnBack;
              public var btnLanguage:BtnLanguage;
              public var backgroundGfc:Background;
              public function StageElements() {
                   backgroundGfc = new Background();
                   addChild(backgroundGfc);
                   backgroundGfc.x = 0;
                   backgroundGfc.y = 0;
                   logo = new Logo();
                   addChild(logo);
                   logo.x = (stage.stageWidth) /2;
                   logo.y = 100;
                   btnMainMenu = new BtnMainMenu();
                   addChild(btnMainMenu);
                   btnMainMenu.x = 226;
                   btnMainMenu.y = 70;
                   btnLanguage = new BtnLanguage();
                   addChild(btnLanguage);
                   btnLanguage.x = 1054;
                   btnLanguage.y = 70;
                   btnNext = new BtnNext();
                   addChild(btnNext);
                   btnNext.x = 1054;
                   btnNext.y = 929;
                   btnBack = new BtnBack();
                   addChild(btnBack);
                   btnBack.x = 226;
                   btnBack.y = 929;
    I also tried splitting up the different things into 2 different constructors:
    public function loadBackground():void {
    //the background and logo asset here
    public function loadButtons():void {
    //the rest of them here
    and then called them from the main StageElements constructor as such:
    loadBackground();
    loadButtons();
    but it still gave the error when having 6 assets.
