I uninstalled Itunes and now it wont reinstall!
I recently had a problem with my 80gig ipod classic. th apple support website recommended that i uninstall itunes amongst other things. my ipod works fine now but itunes wont reinstall! I have downloaded the install shield multiple times as well as previous versions of itunes but every time i click on the file nothing happens. Ive tried all the reconmendations on the support website but none of them work. Does anyone know what is wrong?
...also, when i first try to reinstall i get this message

but then it says it has installed correctly at the end. then when i try to open it i get the error messages i mentioned

i couldnt update my itune as it was coming up with a warning message so i uninstalled it and now it wont let me re install it? when i hit download off apple website it goes to thank you for downloading itunes but it didnt download.

I tried to download the itunes update and at first it would say i was missing msvcr80.dl so I completely uninstalled itunes and its components, then reinstalled it. Now it says I'm missing"Applle Application Support" How do I fix this?
With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.

Earlier iTunes (and supporting applications) need to be completely uninstalled before you can install the new version. Here's the complete Apple info on this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Mobile device application will most likely fail to uninstall, so you would need to visit its location(s) and manually delete the files then folder(s). The location of the folders is documented in this link from Apple.
You won't lose your music when you uninstall iTunes. It's located in your music folder and won't be touched. -

I bought a ipod 5th gen 32gig off a road side peddler for $175. It was working when I bought it. I wonted to remove his music and stuff off of it so I restored it with itunes and now it wont let me activate it. I do not have his info and I do not know how to get in touch with him I have had third gen ipods and never had any problums like this before Help!!!
Either get the Apple ID and password from him to activate the iPod
