It could be the PRAM battery, it's a CR2032 3 volt lithium button battery. You can find the instructions for replacing it here. You can also try resetting the PRAM
Are you sure it's a PPC? You can't run Snow Leopard on one and you show that you are running 10.6

Even though these troubleshooting steps are centered around the iPhone, they address the "Invalid SIM" or "No SIM Card installed" or "No SIM" alert messages and should apply to your iPad. I'd run through them and see if that helps:
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.
If you still are unable to resolve this issue, contact Apple support for further assistance.

rather insane as I have recently purchased HD films with no issues or concerns at all. I have also updated to the most recent itunes software, yet it still gives me this same error message. and also all movies that i oiwn in HD do work without any problems. I read as much i could but its still giving me this message when i attempt to download. it only gives me the option to get the standard definition version of the film. which is not what I want. After I reformatted my Window 7 machine I'm getting this error too. I deauthorized all my devices and started fresh with my newly reformatted PC thinking that would solve the issue but no go...

I dont want to restore it since my photos and videos are not sync to my itunes. if only theres a way that it would only just require my apple id and not the 4 digit code

There's no way to unlock it without restoring it.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

So you did a force quit and now you are trying to start it again right?
If so and the "beachball of death" is still spinning, deny the machine it's power source, remove the power cord and the battery and any periphials you have plugged in ie: extra drives etc. Let it rest for a minute plug it all back in then try re-starting in safe mode. If all is well shut down and restart normally.
If you get this far repair the disk and permissions using Disk utility.

Did you try a hard reset on the phone by holding the power button and the home button for more than 10 -15 seconds? Then try to make a call.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading and installing work.

Have you rendered both iOS 7 and iOS 8 (both of which will work on your iPhone 5) out of the question entirely without trying every possible configuration? The animations can be disabled entirely, if that's the problem. And if the whiter-brighter user interface is the problem, there's reverse-contrast modes that darken everything. You can expose accessibility controls to gain immediate access to these functions to toggle them on and off. I guess my point is you may have decided against upgrading the OS based on an early experience with iOS 7 when Apple has since made changes in later revisions to address some of the usability complaints.
Now, Apple's instructions for downloading older versions of apps is to do so from the Purchased list, not from the app's product page.
