I updated Firefox, but the old version is still running and the new version doesn't have my bookmarks?

And I read that I have to "trash" my old version of Firefox, but when I look in my "programs" to uninstall, it is not there. Really tired of incomplete and vague instructions. I am not a computer nerd and do not know what to do unless specifically told step by step. Thank you

It's very simple. If you want to use iPhoto, just let it manage things as it does. Other than that: Export from iPhoto and delete the image from iPhoto. That will remove the master and all versions.
If space is an issue... use an external disk.
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things, deleting them or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.

Apple cannot help you locate the original owner. If you have no way to contact him/her, and you purchased directly from the seller rather than through a site that offers buyer protection, then the iPad is useless to you and you have wasted your money. The iPad is quite probably stolen and you should turn it in to the police.
This is why it's very risky and usually unwise to purchase out of a car boot from someone you don't know.

is your cs6 a upgrade?
if so, after entering your cs6 serial number you will be prompted to select the qualifying product from a dropdown. select the product you own and enter its serial number.
after entering each serial number at the correct time installation will proceed.
if no, what files (names and extensions) did you download and what are the file sizes shown on your hd?

Actually, it only looks like it takes up additional space. The file size shown is misleading. When you migrate an iPhoto library to Photos, both libraries will show the media files using hard links. The actual file content of the image files and videos is shared by hard links:

You will gain no free storage at all by deleting either the iPhoto Library or the Photos library. So keep both libraries until you are very sure, that Photos is working well on your Mac and your iPhoto library has been migrated correctly. Also, check, if you like the workflow in Photos. It is very different from iPhoto and some iPhoto features are not supported.
There will be no easy way back to iPhoto, if you delete your iPhoto library or the iPhoto application. Apple does not sell it any more.

This looks like a change of behaviour in iTunes 12. Once songs are queued up to the Up Next list then they play whether ticked or not. If you want to skip certain songs already queued click the Up Next tool, then click the small X to the left of the song that appears when you hover over it.

After upgrading to 8.0 the add-on compatability tool runs and the Getting Started web page loads every time the browser starts.

After upgrading to 8.0 from 7.0.1 every time I start FF I get the add-on compatibility tool to run and the Getting Started web page loads along with my homepage in separate tabs as well. So far I have tried running the installer again, disabling all add-0ns and custom settings and restarting and turning off automatic updates. Nothing worked there. I got the same behavior each time. I don't know what else to try other than a full uninstall and reinstall. Something I'd like to avoid if it's possible because of the time involved. This is the second time I have posted regarding this issue. The first time I didn't get a response. A solution or a possible workaround would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows of any. As a staff member and a global forum moderator for an anti-virus company I understand how hectic things can be at times but some feedback, good or bad, on this issue would be very welcomed! Hi michaell, thanks for the reply. I tried everything in the Preferences are not saved link you provided and nothing worked there. If creating a new profile will delete all my add-ons and custom settings I might as well just do a complete uninstall and reinstall. That actually would be easier. That article told me how to save my bookmarks though so I don't have to loose those which is nice. I don't know if this makes any difference but there is a discrepancy between the preference file in the article which is: prefs.js and what's showing on my PC which is: prefs with no .js suffix. I tried to rename the file to prefs.js and restarted. No luck there either. It just created another prefs file. I guess we've pretty much exhausted all the avenues to try! I just changed the OS from Vista to Windows7. I have a folder on the same computer with the old iTunes library. I installed a new version of iTunes from scratch. How do I move my music library, etc from that backed up folder into the new iTunes folder.

During the process it copied my iTunes library to a folder on this same computer (marked it Windows.old)
Once the OS was done, I installed a new copy of iTunes on the Windows7 but it now has a blank library (folder)
How do I move my music from its current folder location (on this same computer) into the new iTunes library folder ???
There don't seem to be specific instructions on how to do this.

I have 50 miniDV cassettes which are all logged and use Excel spreadsheets to search for material and then to easily capture wanted clips. I have the OS X Lion version 10.7.5 and after a new hard drive I have lost iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band etc. I have tried the re-install of the OS X Lion and checking the app store under 'purchases' but none of these options were successful.
When I click on iPhoto in the App Store, it says that it cannot update because version 10.9 is required (I tried to transfer iPhoto from my brothers computer but he has a newer laptop which means I cant open it whcih is why it says 'update' but have deleted it now). When I go to iMovie on the App Store, it says I need to pay but the only reason I dont want to do that is that it origionally came on the computer and after paying Apple to install a new hard drive I dont want to have to pay for all the apps that origionally come on it.

Then you will need the Original System Reinstall DVD discs that came with the system to reinstall the iLife suite of apps then you can update them from the Mac app store or through Software Update.
Those discs came in the box the computer came in. Hopefully you still have the box and those discs.

After closing the AIR application, it still runs in the Task Manager

I am very new to AIR application. I have made a product demo
application in CS3 using AS2 and just for the sake of testing the
AIR, I published an AIR installer of that application.
Every thing works as it should be but I am facing one
problem, when I close the application using the close button. It
disappears from the desktop but when I checked the TaskManager...It
still running there. And using large CPU resource (around 50%).
Does any one know the reason behind it?....I also tried to
installing other AIR application (made by other users) but that
application is closing correctly..

You might set the flag:
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.autoExit
to false?
Otherwise your app. should exit.
