I updated mi iPad to to iOS 6 now it says connector to iTunes but I no longer have a computer? Please help
After trying to update to iOS 6 my iPad now say connect to iTunes however I only use my phone and iPad and do not have a computer with iTunes. What do I need to do?
Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

If it was showing the connect to iTunes screen it is in recovery mode and must be connect to a computer with iTunes. Recovery mode erases all content and settings so there is nothing wrong with using another computer. If you have a backup in iCloud use that to restore, or download the apps and songs you had on it.

You should be able to restore the iPhone, just connect it to the computer and open iTunes.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and take a look at this, if you run in to a problem. -

Check your HOSTS file and make sure you are not blocking gs.apple.com.
Try to launch https://gs.apple.com: It should open the Apple site, and not be redirected to the Cydia server.

copy hosts file from this path

paste on desktop. open this in notepad.
add this line in the last .

in some case this line is there without " #" sign. if this line is there then u simply put" # " at the start of this line
save this and copy this file and past into this path.

replace with existing . yes.
close and then start the restore process.

Thank you for your reply, I did go to my general settings, but for some odd reason I don't have a restrictions setting, or a reset setting. I thought I could reset all the setting to see if it could be that, but as I said there aren't any.
My husband also has the iPad 2, and also did the software update and hasn't had any problems at all. I took both iPad's and compared the settings thinking maybe there could be a setting that could have been changed when the update was done. -

When I got my ipod I made an account with iTunes right from my ipod.Yesterday, I made a password lock to get into my ipod and I couldn't get into it even though I did the correct one. Now it says"connect to iTunes" BUT I can't because I never registered on the computer. I've tried holding the home and sleep/wake button for 10 sec and then only the home for 5sec and that might have reset it, but it didn't help. I just noticed that a software update was available. I think it was iOS7. Did not really take note of what it was. But now my iPad Mini won't come on. it is stuck in a reboot and has been that way for at least an hour. Just tried to attach a picture of the screen without success.
If it was a phone, I'd have taken out the battery and just reinserted it but I can't do that with the iPad.
What can I do??? Please help!!!

If you have the 'connect to iTunes' screen then it will need to be connected to a computer's iTunes - do you know a friend or family member who has a computer with iTunes installed that they would let you use, or you could potentially go to an Apple Store and see if they can do it (though preferably make a Genius bar appointment, don't just turn up at a busy time)

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
