I updated my applications and now I can not open any of them.
I updated the required updates due to being given no other option to go around the update and now I can not open any of the applications I installed prior, it just shows the words up to date italisized and grayed out giving me no options to oppen the applications now that I have updated my applications.
What is your operating system?
What applications are these?
How are you trying to open them? From your description it sounds like you are opening the Application Manager.

On you iPad, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it on by one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPad:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, try your Apps again and see if this resolves the issue. -
I updated firefox 27.0.1(x86.en-US) two days ago and now it is not opening. please help me, it is frustrating. One of the suggestions probably was to try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode by holding down the shift key when starting Firefox. (This doesn't work if Firefox is still running hidden in memory.)
In the small dialog that should appear, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

I got a request from apple to update my itunes and while uploading the update, the program gave an error message and now I can not open my itunes and fear that all my music etc is gone? what do I do to correct this problem?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I updated to Yosemite and now I can't open my YNAB finance app. There is a question mark in the Dock where the App should be and when I hover over the question mark it does say YNAB but I can't open it. When I double click on the question mark nothing happens. Has the link to YNAB been broken with the update? Has this happened to anyone else?
Check the Application folder.
If it is not there, contact YNAB Finance for a OS X Yosemite compatible version of the application.

Try a hard reset. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If still no luck try downloading and installing a free app from the app store. This has resolved the issue for many users.

LibreOffice can open word processing documents and some Draw documents. The most recent version will open spreadsheets, with some limitations, otherwise only the older version of Numbers, not the one currently in the Mac App Store, will open them. Nothing will open database documents. -

Can you simultaneously display multiple images in a slideshow?
