I updated my Ipod touch 5th Generation to IOS 8 and now I cant sync with Itunes, yes I have the latest Itunes program. Can anyone help?

So I recently updated to IOS 8, which I love, the only problem is when I did sync my Ipod with Itunes, it deleted all the songs from non apple sources I.E. Amazon MP3. I cant solve the issue... Can anyone help me?
I have Itunes version 11.4, the latest one...

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Can't update my iPod Touch 5th generation to iOS 6.1 - error 3194

I saw there was an update so I plugged it into my PC and it said that there was a new update available. I always update via iTunes. It download the update and started to backup my iPod. Then when it was updating and error 3194 popped up. I've tried several times, I've rebooted my PC, tried doing that thing with the host file and what not. Then I tried to install it via Wi-Fi but it just said that I wan't connected to Wi-Fi which I was.
How can I fix this? Is it a problem on Apple's side?

Try updating the iPod touch again.
A few people in this thread say the problem isn't happening anymore.

  • I can't update my ipod touch 5th generation to iOS 6.1.2

iTunes says it has detected my an error and need to restore. I tried to restore few times, it give me the same messages.

    Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • TS1383 I charged my Ipod touch (forth generation) over night and now it won't turn back on.. like the screen just stays black.

I was at a friends house and I used her Ipod dock to charge my ipod before we left to go to her grandmas, before we left I checked it to see if it was charging and it was. So we left for a few hours and we came home and it was charged. Later on that night, before we went to bed I put my ipod on the SAME charger I used earlier that day. I woke up in the morning and tried turning it on and the screen stayed black so I paniced and put it on the charger some more and notcied the screen stayed black. We looked up what to do on the internet and it seems a lot of people were having this problem as well. Some of the people said to hold the home and power button at the same time and the apple sigh will appear and your ipod will be good again.. we tried that and nothing same black screen. I have no idea what to do with it and if it can be fixable.

  • My iPod Touch 5th generation (running IOS 8.1.2)...

My iPod Touch 5th generation (running IOS 8.1.2), when connected to my iMac (running OS X Yosemite) will charge, but is not regained, or for that matter even noticed by the iTunes application. The iPod will sync to dropbox when connected, but nothing else. On the device, it will ask if to "trust" the iMac, I naturally hit that it should, but still no change.

You will need to do a DFU restore by holding the home and power buttons down (while the device is plugged in to your computer) until the device's screen goes black and as soon as the screen goes black, count down from 3 and release the power/sleep button, but keep holding down the home button. Then, iTunes will say the iPod needs to be restored. The restore process will take some time and even though the iPod may appear to be frozen, don't interrupt the restore.

Hi all i won't update my iPod touch 4 generation to ios 5 but there are win the download end its showing a massage (the network connection timed out)

Okay. I've tried syncing it first, resetting it first, downloading the firmware, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, I've checked my connections and ports and everything, run all kinds of diagnostics, and nothing is working. Every time it says it's backing it up, my iPod resets and then it's back to square one. I'm going to restore it and see if that helps. What a pain in the butt, especially since it wouldn't back it up.... >.<

  • Twice experienced an unusual problem with my iPod touch 5th generation running iOS 8.0: crashes and disables power up. HOME and POWER pressed together to reset.

iPod touch 5th generation running iOS 8.0. iOS crashed twice, disabling power up. The only recovery was pressing and holding the home and power buttons together for several seconds. The iPod touch then went into restore mode. I've never experienced, heard or read of an iOS crash preventing normal power up: device has known battery charge, does not respond to pressing power button or connecting to AC charger.

    That happens some times. Try:
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
