I updated my Live and my phone is displaying "Safe Mode" and I can't get rid of it, help anyone????
I just updated my Sony Live with Walkman to ICS, after I turn it on, the bottom of the screen keep displaying "Safe Mode" How should I get rid of this???? Help???? It's annoying!

I am getting a weird alert I can't get rid of. Help! I have amber and gov alerts turned off. All other alerts turned off I think it may be a sever weather alert but can't find it!
That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. I was downloading the latest OS and it started to install. Before I knew it the compputer said there was problem installing it, the itouch was put into safe mode and now itunes doesn't see the itouch. I have tried to reinstall itunes. I have restarted the itouch. And nothing I have tried has worked.
No knowing what safe mode is, all I can suggest is:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

This began happening, every time I opened my email, several months ago. I changed the Bing search preference to Google and it disappeared. It appeared again 2 days ago. I again replaced the Bing search preference with Google, but still the Bing ad covers my email every time I open it in Firefox. I would like to get rid of Bing permanently.

I press the power button and the chime sounds. The screen goes gray and the wheel begins to spin. This just continues. It won't finish starting up. I have tried to start up in Safe Mode with the same result. It doesn't recognize my external dvd drive, so I can't test the Hard Drive with drive genius or disk warrior. I'm at a loss what to do. I don't want to dive to Ann Arbor (30 miles) and have the geniuses look at me funny for not knowing the simple solution....assuming there is one.
Disconnect your HD and any other devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc...) and boot up into the Startup Manager holding the Option key.

Now try selecting the Macintosh HD, then if nothing happens go to the Lion Recovery Disk and follow the instructions for Repairing or Restoring Lion from your Backup.

I have a Classic iPod with current software and I am running iTunes 10.5.3.3. On my device there are Podcast subscriptions but all of the podcasts have been deleted from them. Is there a way to get rid of the header (i.e. the Podcast subscription title)?
This has happened to a number of users lately. Usually the only way to remove them to restore the iPod to factory settings.

I am currently using Windows 7 and when I go to try and get Fire fox up a running the Window Live Sig in site comes up. This never happened when I was using Vista.
The Windows Live sign in site will not remember the sign in details.
I use My MSN/Sympatico home page as my default site* Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
* In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
* Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.
