I updated my MacBook last night, including Firefox and Adobe Flash. Now I can't play games on Facebook.

If the error occurred during the update you need to redo the update, as it corrupted something on your phone. Knowledge Base article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275 says:
Error 1004 and 1013: This error may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being blocked, redirected, or interrupted.  Adjust your hosts file or security software to ensure that connections to gs.apple.com are not blocked. If the issue persists, try restoring on another computer with a known-good connection. If this restore is successful, you will need to contact whoever supports your install of the operating system and security software installed on your computer for assistance. If your hosts file redirects requests to gs.apple.com, you may choose to follow Can't connect to the iTunes Store, in the "The 'hosts' file may be blocking the iTunes Store" section.
This usually happens if you have used a hacking program like Tinyumbrella on your computer sometime in the past.

Updated iPad 2 last night.  All movies (9) on my iPad can no longer be viewed.  The movie plays but the photos and scene selection are blank. How do I fix this

Quit the app and restart the iPad.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Try the videos app again.

  • I have Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in won't allow me to watch YouTube videos

Up until last week I had IE9 and was able to download and watch YouTube videos with my son and play Facebook games.  Then one evening I tried to pull up a Yo Gabba Gabba video on YouTube and the video window was blank.  I had watched this video the night before with him, and the only thing I can think of is there was a Flash Player update that tried to download.  I saw several posts that suggested downloading a new broswer, but I waited for 3 nights thinking it was just a glitch.  I finally gave up and sent a pm to one of my friends who is a Internet Service Technician.  She told me to download Mozilla Firefox, which I did, and the problem seemed to be solved.  I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos, as well as play games on Facebook.  And it seemed my pages, pictures, etc. all downloaded 10x faster.  That worked until the next evening and suddenly I once again could not download and watch YouTube videos.
I checked my system and it found that Adobe had done an automatic update so that instead of just having Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I now had Adobe Flash Player 13 plug-in.  I also noticed that Adobe Air was downloaded on my computer.  I went in and uninstalled the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in and I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos.  But when I tried to play games on Facebook I was told I would need to install at least Adobe Flash Player 10.0.2.  I went to find that or an older version but each time I tried to download from Adobe I would get the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in version, and once again I was unable to download and watch YouTube videos.  I was, however, able to play the games on Facebook again.
Remember when I just had Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I was able to do both while having Mozilla Firefox.  I have looked all over the internet and I cannot find recent articles that talk about this problem.  Can someone please tell me what I can do so that I can keep Mozilla Firefox, as it is 10X faster than IE9 and with Firefox my Facebook doesn't crash all of the time?  But I also want to have the ability to download and watch YouTube videos with my son, as well as the play games on Facebook.
I should also note each time I went to uninstall Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in I received an error message saying there was a conflict with Mozilla Firefox and I first had to shut it down before the uninstall would proceed.  Also, I received a reply on Adobe's Facebook page from a Tech who had me check to see if I had the latest version of Flash Player.  I did have the most recent version.  He then asked me to go to my add-ons and enable Shockwave.  I followed the instructions and it was already enabled (or it said always activate).  Neither of those helped me be able to download and watch YouTube videos.  But I can still play Facebook games.

What is your current Flash Player version: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html ?
What is your display adapter, driver version & date?  See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765

  • Firefox and Adobe Flash - Why is this combination so slow now?

I don't know when the problem started but it has been many versions of both Firefox and Adobe Flash since Flash has worked reliably and quickly. I have tried many solutions including uninstalling both Firefox and Flash and reinstalling them yet the performance problems continue. When the dialog appears to send a crash report, many times I do. My Firefox is 32.0.1 and the Flash plug-in is 15,0,0,152. Is there an end in sight for this problem? The standard answer is Mozilla pointing the finger at Adobe and Adobe pointing at Mozilla.

Yes there is an end in sight!

  • Download of firefox and adobe flash will not install file corrupt message

cannot install firefox or adobe flash get file corrupt message:
    cannot play videos

Try installing from the Offline Installer. It may be a temporary folder permissions error, so this may fix it. Here is a link to try to download from:
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe
If that doesn't work, try this one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/
Let me know if this works!

  • I have screen shots of the messages and what happens when I try to play games on Facebook since I updated Firefox. Issues I didn't have before the update. Where do I send them? How do I correct this?

The screen shots include the web address for both shots. One is for script error messages that keep interrupting EVERY game. Then after I stop the scrip, Adobe Flash crashes, and I have no control. I have to use the Windows Task Manager to gain access to my home page to get out.
This didn't happen until I updated the Firefox this last time. I've tried everything and nothing works to get rid of the problem.
I've been to your questions, etc and nothing I've found helps.
    I use Windows XP
Four sites are the worst; I only play these 4 games on Facebook.
    URL's of these are:
    http://apps.facebook.com/wildwesttown/?ref=bookmarks&count=0&fb_source=bookmarks_apps&fb_bmpos=4_0
    http://apps.facebook.com/aviator-game/?fb_source=canvas_bkmk_top
    http://apps.facebook.com/gnometown/?fb_source=canvas_bkmk_top
    http://apps.facebook.com/journeyofmoses/?fb_source=canvas_bkmk_top&count=1
(I got a script error message just getting the URL on this last one.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
      - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Firefox keeps asking for me to update adobe flash every 2 days to play items in facebook it is now getting rediculouse why?

nearly every 2 days on facebook whilst using The latest firefox i get the message that i need to update my adobe flash player, upon checking i find it want to update it to the same version i already have installed, i have checked for viruses and malware and numerouse other things but there is nothing on my system.
Why does it just keep on crashing? is it you or is it adobe

You can check for issues caused by plugins and set all plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page (plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode)
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*check for updates for your graphics drive drivers<br>https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • Loading youtube videos crashes my browser - both mozilla firefox and safari. Now I can't get firefox to load any page, although safari still works. It started when I clicked on a youtube link on FB 2 weeks ago. Any ideas, anyone?

youtube is crashing my browser - both firefox mozilla and safari. Now I cannot load firefox browser at all, but safari still works - except for youtube, which immediately crashes it....any ideas, anyone?

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • Plugins are block need to update can't play games on facebook

Tried to down load adobe plugings but was enable to do so,was blocked from doing so.I also was told that java needed to be updated,I had no sucess.Mozilla says plugins are outdated, needed upgrading. Can you help me?

You can use these links to get the latest plugin installers:
    * Flash (Shockwave Flash): http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
** Make sure to uncheck any unwanted extras before downloading
** If the "Your system" line does not recognize you as using Firefox, use this link instead: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
    * Java: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
** Watch for the plugin notification icon in the address bar (looks like a Lego block) to allow Java on the test page if needed
** After starting the installer, watch out for the Ask toolbar or other potentially unwanted extras and deselect them before proceeding
If either of these is blocked, please describe the error message in more detail and, if possible, get a screen shot of it (see: [[How do I create a screenshot of my problem?]]).

  • Firefox and adobe flash player installation

When I go to a site like www, vevo, com I am asked to install Adobe Flash player. I install per directions, it shows on the page as having been installed, yet I cannot get videos (specifically on vevo site) to work. Everytime I open vevo, it still asks to install latest version of flash player and I can't play videos.
    I am running Windows 7 64-bit OS.
Further, the instructions say to download the 32-bit Firefox in order for the Adobe FP to work, but this site says that Firefox comes ONLY in 32-bit. Any ideas how I can get this to work? I can view youtube, and other videos. Currently, the vevo site is the only video I can't see - that I know of.

Maybe you need to update Flash to a more recent 10.1 r82 version
Your plugins list shows outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks.

Update the [[Flash]] plugin to the latest version.

  • Firefox and adobe flash do work together and older versions of flah do not exist anymore

i will try this one last time. the current version of firefox does not allow me to view videos from u tube or other sources. the solutions i have been offered is to downgrade to previous versions of adobe flash. the issue is: ADOBE NO LONGER ALLOWS ONE TO DOWNLOAD and RUN OLDER VERSIONS OF FLASH. if you follow all the steps you get a message that there is a new version of flash. yes it will download but when u try to install it the message i mentioned appears.. please please try yourself and see.
can naoyone offer a solution that will work now?
    thanks

There are several problems with the newest Adobe Flashplayer. Adobe is working to fix the problems. You can check for problems and possibly downgrade Flash to version 11.2 or 10.3.

  • Firefox and Adobe Flash player not working

I guess the people at Mozzila and or Adobe haven't updated which ever APP is not working properly with ICS. I had read previously that this was a problem. I downloaded Flash ver 11 right after the ICS upgrade and it does not work in Firefox but does in Dolphin.

There are reports that FLASH is being abandoned ... the latest version seems to work though for now in specific browsers (after re-installing FLASH 11 ) ...  HTML5 is what everyone is moving to.

  • The new update has messed up my iPad and iPhone both glitch and turn off now when you are playing games or reading

Both my iPhone and I pad are not communicating together. They are glitch. You can be in a game or surfing the web and all the sudden the screen goes black. I have lots of memory and space. I cleaned history thinking it could be it. I also restored iPad as new device. The update messed it up. Becoming very frustrated with apple products. Help please!

What update are you talking about? What iOS level are you running?

  • Firefox and Adobe Flash unsafe operation crash

I have a bunch of saved htm pages from myspace. Everytime I open them a box pops up saying Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. So and So is trying to communicate with internet enabled location. I have to keep clicking away the box otherwise if I do anything in the browser it will freeze it. Anyway to fix this problem so I can read through the pages in peace?
