I updated my software and when i went to make a new playlist and sync it, an error message comes up and wont sync at all

Nothing wil sync on my iphone after i restored my settings and also updated the software...and anothing too...when i switched emails for my itunes id address i switched but the old one keeps popping up on me asking for the password but the email is no longer active and i dont know the password....so how do I get the old itunes email off my phone from it to keep on popping up oin my phone...it is really annoying and it has never did this before...I have also never had these many problems with my itunes account!!!! Please help!

Thanks for responding so quickly!I also tried that and it still didnt' work.I tried to take pictures while using the flash.I think my only option at this point is to go to Apple........

I have a ipod touch. i updated the software and now have lost all music. havent got a backup or the songs as my laptop has broke how do i get the songs back ?

I put all my cd's on my ipod on my old laptop. now i did the update on itunes on my new laptop and all music has gone from the ipod.

All you can get back is your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You will have to rerip the CDs unless you can find a copy.
When you restore or update an iPod, if synced media is not in the iTunes library it will not be on the iPod after the restore/update since the backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

Used as intended, you've imported your photos to your computer. Synch them back. Contacts should be safe on your computer (Outlook, Address Book, Contacts) or a cloud service. Synch them back.

On at least 2 occasions, when I updated Iphone software and synced with MacBook, my newest calendar events were deleted. The information in Ical and on IPhone reverted to an older version of events instead of defaulting to the new information. I know of at least 1 other person who experienced this; is this a common occurrence? What is the reason for it and the remedy? How do I prevent this from happening in the future?

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.
