I updated my vault, and now it's gone from the aperture listing

Aperture 3.3.
Have my vault on an external USB drive. Updated it. the Vaults says it was modified tonight.
When I looked at the bottom of my Library tab, usually my Vault is listed. Now there is nothing. I click the Hide Vaults and Show Vaults. Nothing. I look around for a way to put the vault back in there without recovering it, therefore recreating my entire Aperture Library.
It was creating my previews when I last looked.
How do I relink the Vault to my Library, or doesn't it matter? Should I just create a new Vault and toss the old one?

OK. Update here. I quit Aperture. Opened it up again and the Vault was there. Weird.

I would remove Reader and repair or reinstall Acrobat.
Having different major versions can cause some users issues. Reader is not necessary if one has Acrobat installed. Even though Adobe has improved the capability of having both Reader and Acrobat with the same major version level there are still user configurations that have problems with this setup.

Then the installer is asking you for the password of your administrator account. You need to authorize the installation.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I got first iphone 5 and after trying to set up itunes to phone I ended up with all my daughters contacts from her iphone on my iphone. That's what happens when you share the same iCloud account. First, migrate his phone to a different iCloud account using a different ID (you can continue to share the same ID for other services such as iTunes if you want). To do this, on his phone save any photo stream photos that he wants to keep to his camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If he are syncing notes with iCloud that he wants to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to him so he can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in his new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; this won't effect your phone), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create his new account and choose Merge to upload the data. After doing this, he can go to icloud.com and safely delete your data from his new account.
Then, if your contacts were on your phone when you last backed it up to iCloud, you can restore them by following Winston Churchill's user tip here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841. This involves turning off your wifi after your phone restarts during the restore process, then saving the contacts on your phone and deleting them from iCloud prior to turning your wifi back on and allowing the restore process to finish. You can turn off your wifi either by pulling the cord out of the WAN port in your wifi router, or by simply unplugging it.

First, your daughter needs her own iCloud account, otherwise her ipod will sync will all your data (email, calendars, contacts...). If you have a backup or a copy on your computer, you could turn off iCloud syncing on your iphone, then restore from your contacts via iTunes. After you get a new account for daughter, you can then turn on iCloud.

When you share an iCloud account, any data you sync with the account is merged, and any actions you take on one device (such as deleteing contacts) is synced to all other devices sharing the account. To avoid this, each person's device(s) should have a separate iCloud account with a separate ID. (You can continue to share your iTunes account; it does not need to have the same ID as the one used for iCloud.)
To create separate icloud accounts, decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).
As for recovering the deleted contacts, you can try restoring her phone from her most recent backup. This may recover the contacts, however it often doesn't. Restoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial setup process. If she have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that she wants to save she will need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

There is absolutely NO way to drag and drop newly purchased music from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library? I'm finding it hard to believe that something so simple cannot be done!

I like to make MP3 CD's when I have people over, or when my friends have people over so I can just pop them into the CD player and let them play all night without having to worry about changing the CD or anything. Well, Apple's music is in AAC format, so I have to convert the songs to MP3 files using the converter in iTunes. So I'll convert them to MP3's and just delete the AAC file so I don't have doubles. The problem is, the next time I plug the phone into my laptop to transfer new purchases, iTunes thinks that the songs I converted aren't there anymore because the phone has them as AAC files, and iTunes has them as MP3 files, so it doubles the music again...EVERY time!! It's very frustrating! So this is why instead of clicking Transfer Purchases, I would like to be able to just drag and drop the songs I want from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library. I hope I explained this right...lol. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I'm able to do that. I'm hoping maybe somebody here can help me out and give me some pointers on what to do about this. That stinks! I can actually do that at my house...I just plug my iPhone right into the wire that's plugged into my receiver in my living room...but some of my friends aren't "technology savvy"...lol...so they just have DVD players and I'll put the CD in there because it will read an MP3 disc. What's funny, is I have the phone set to "Manually Manage Music", and when I plugged it into the laptop just now, the one song I downloaded last night on the phone, transferred over to the iTunesl library. That NEVER happens. And it only transferred the one song...it didn't double the other songs like it ususally does. I swear, iTunes does what it wants, when it wants sometimes...lol. It sounds as if it may have been hacked to unlock it and updating the iOS locks it back
to the original Carrier

and have you tried a reset followed by a restore if reset made no difference

We have 3 iPads 3 iPhones 3 Apple id's. We want to use 1 calendar we can all access on each device and have each device update or sync and we all receive notifications from the one calendar. We do not want to share photos contacts, ect. Please help

We have 3 Apple Id's, each ID using an iPad and an iPhone (3 id's, 3 iPads, 3 iPhones). We want to use one calendar on all 6 devices and have that one calendar update or sync to all devices. We would like all 6 devices to provide notifcations from the one unique calendar as well. We do not want to share contacts, photos, ect. Please suggest how to achieve this, with the name of the calendar, if I am to get one from the App store, and how to set this up. Please talk in easy terms as I am technically Challenged. If I understand correctly you want all 6 devices to have access to a single calendar that each device gets notifications for and can edit. You can do that with an private iCloud shared calendar. First sign into www.icloud.com and use these steps from the following article to share a calendar:
iCloud: Share a calendar with others
Share a calendar privately
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar name in the sidebar, then select Private Calendar.
Note: You can also share the same calendar publicly. For instructions, see the next task, “Share a calendar publicly.”
Type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field and press Return.
Click the pop-up menu with the invitee’s name and choose access privileges (View & Edit or View Only).
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’ve invited everyone and set their privileges, click OK.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified.
