I updated softwhare on my iphone 3gs on sunday which has now wiped all softwear off my phone and now wont connect to itunes or even turn on? any clue, tried rebooting with home buton but no response!!
updated software on iphone 3gs on sunday and now phone has stoppped working, almost as if the phone has been wiped of all hardware!! when trying to add new device to system computer keeps aking for disk that came with device, and obviously the iphone doesnt come with one!! all thats displayed on screen is usb logo and itunes logo, but my tunes account wont connect!! is phone nakered? help with this would be great!
Have EXACTLY the same issue thePOPEofDOPE420, tried the setting> general> reset> reset network setting suggestion - but this does nothing. Still the issue persists.
WiFi - internet works great. As soon as it's off, status bars showing a full signal, 3G but the web page/Facebook app/App Store just hangs and won't load.
Not sure who to contact - T-Mobile or Apple?

i upload all of my photos from my iphone 5 onto my macbook air to get more space on my phone, and now whenver i try to upload it says there is no more storage or there was a problem transferring a picture. what can I do to get more space onto my iphoto? I don't know how large the SSD (solid state hard drive) is, or how big your iPhone 5 is, but with some iPhones having 64GB and some Airs having as little as 64GB and some having as much as 512GB it's not hard to see how storing the contents of your iPhone 5 on your Macbook Air could run you out of space.
Go to the Macbook Air and bring up a finder window and pull the Go menu down and go to the Computer. Right click on the Macintosh HD and select get info. See if there is any available space on the MacBook Air. If not you are out of SSD space (you're storing more on your Macbook Air than it has storage for). I'm not sure if iTunes can store its library on an external hard drive or quite how you would make that happen. But even if you managed that, when the hard drive was disconnected, you would lose access to your library. Using a smart media card might be possible (I don't know) but it would probably be irritatingly slow. If you have a small Air and a big iPhone you might just have to find a different computer to sync to. Just remember a 64GB iPhone is a big chunk of SSD for a Macbook Air. I did it with my previous and my current Air but even my previous one had 256GB and I really just fit. -

Yes, due to Incomplete Software Update on your iPhone your Device is now in Recovery Mode and you cannot take a Backup now. But if you have taken a backup earlier then you can Restore that backup on your iPhone after you Reset your iPhone to Factory Settings.

Yes, its best to have each individual apple ids. You can also go to settings, messages, send and recieve, start new conversation from, make sure there is a check mark beside each of your own individual email, not the same one on each phone.

This is for my wife's iPhone 4
She was on a call and went to end the call and the phone just turned off.
Left it on charge for an hour or so and nothing.
I tried the old reboot (home button and power button) and nothing
I tired with the sim out.
And with it plugged into a PC, opened iTunes and it didn't recognize that the phone was plugged in.
I tried my PC and nothing.
My phone charges and connects to both PC's
Tried holding the home button then plugging into PC
Tried holding the power button then into PC
I've now been trying different combinations for about 3 hours and now I'm all out of ideas.... :(
Please please can some help before Tuesday when I will have to find someone to repair it.

I turned off my cellula data and data roaming while abroad. I turned them back on when returning home. But now I can only access internet and mail functions when on wi-fi. texting works. The 3G access to the internet isn't working now. 3g is on. What do I need to do to restore non-wi-fi internet function. Roaming is on s well. ?????
Try to reset your iPhone:
Settings>>General>>Reset>>Reset All Settings
You will need to rejoin all wi-fi and/or bluetooth connections
You will need to set up your settings of your choice.
Information (such as contacts and Calendars) and meida (such as music, videos, apps) are NOT affected. -

In iTunes on your Computer, Download The Skype App normally.
Then on your iPhone, go to the App Store App, Under Updates->Purchased.
Look for Skype there, and tap the Cloud icon to initiate the download. It will tell you its not compatible, but offer a compatible version for download.
Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X -
Iphone 4s screen is black, phone is on, wont connect to itunes
A couple of days ago, I dropped my phone in the toilet. I got it out in about three seconds, dried it off and put it in a bag of rice for 40 hours.When I took it out of the rice, I plugged it in to my charger, it showed that it was charging and then i pressed the home button again and nothing happened, so i left it overnight. Then, today my phone charged and turned on, without the power button working. I was able to use all of the othe rfeatures until suddenly the screen went black. Now the screen is black, but the phone is still on and receiving notifications. I tried to connect it to itunes so i could restore the factory settings (someone on the internet told me that would work), however, my phone won't connect to itunes. What should I do?
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

The problem is your friend's music does not belong to you. It is owned by your friend.
I'm afraid you cannot do what you are trying to do. Restoring the iPhone is what you would have to do.
In the future, put your music on the computer and transfer it to the iPhone, not the other way.
