I updated the new iOS 7.0.2 update. I cannot get my message screen to rotate, is this normal or is there a fix?

I updated to the new I OS 7.0.2 update. Now when I type a text message, I cannot get the screen to rotate vertically. Is this normal, and is there a fix?

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center, then make sure the 'Portrait Orientation' lock is not highlighted.  If it is, press it to turn it off.

    Yes lucky me . If all troubleshooting has been done in Resolve iOS update and restore errors and if you have at least taken it into a store where they could try a restore themselves then that would suggest a hardware fault with the iPhone.
    If you are out of warranty then it is correct that they would quote you an out of warranty service fee. From here it would be a matter of trying the steps above and if you have already tried then doing the service when you do have the cash.

    I have the same problem and I haven't solved it yet. On Friday I plugged in my iPad to my work computer after not having done so for quite a while. Today I went onto the work computer and discovered I had not updated iTunes before plugging in the iPad (and which I cannot do without an administrator password). I guess I will update iTunes and try again when I can get the guy to show up with the password. I hope that works. The reset idea does not work on mine.
    Was your iiTunes updated before you tried? Have you found any solution yet? Mail and some internet apps still work but games, notes applications, spreadsheets etc. just begin to open and close immediately.
    If anybody has answers I'd love to get some clues.

    Is he getting your SMS messages (green) or your iMessages (blue). If SMS message, go to Settings>Messages and turn off Text Forwarding. If blue, are you sharing an Apple ID? You should each have your own.

I think I may have purchased a windows version in error.  When I clicked on "DesignStandard_CS6_LS16.exe I am told the application can't open because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X.  Does anyone know how to contact Adobe directly?  I keep going around and around on their site and have found no e-mail or phone number to contact them to get this straightened out.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?     Ive tried to update my 3G Ipod Touch with the new iOS 4.3.5, but when the download is on the last 0.1 MB it says ive lost connection, when I havent. Everytime it stops working I get a error message (err= -3259). How can I fix this without taking down my anti-virus or anything like that? I just need a simple solution. Thanks

    The simple solution is to temporarily disable anti-virus and firewall software during the update process. Why would you not want to do that? Any threat is non-existent.
    Depending on your anti-virus & firewall software it may be possible to make exceptions for certain programs like iTunes and certain ports used during the update. This, however, is more trouble than it is worth.

    After updating to the new iOS on my ipad 3 I find that I can no longer move the undocked keyboard across the screen to my desired location as I used to. Does anyone else have the same issue?

    Here's the writeup from the iOS 6 Manual for iPad about moving and splitting the keyboard:
    Keyboard layouts
    On iPad, you can type with a split keyboard that’s at the bottom of the screen, or undocked and in the middle of the screen.
    Adjust the keyboard: Touch and hold , then:
    Use a split keyboard: Slide your finger to Split, then release.
    Move the keyboard to the middle of the screen: Slide your finger to Undock, then release.
    Return to a full keyboard: Slide your finger to Dock and Merge, then release.
    Return a full keyboard to the bottom of the screen: Slide your finger to Dock, then release. Turn Split Keyboard on or off: Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Split Keyboard.

    Thanks, but a I indicated in my original post, I have already tried everything in that KB article.  That article doesn't address the fact that I can mirror from an iPad 4, but not from an iPad 2.  According to all of the documentation about mirroring, there is no reason why the airplay / mirroring icon shouldn't appear.  It's explicitly enabled on iPad 2.
