I back up whit my last ipod and it does not work

- It sounds like the music, apps and other stuff were not on yur computer/in the iTunes library on the computer on which you performed the update. Thise items are not in the backup that iTunes make and are alway synced to the iPod during the latter parts of the update/restore process.
- Your always redownload apps at no additional cost as long as yu are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased the apps.
- If you are inthe USA and other places when iCloud is working, you can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Yes I updated via wifi. And no...everything seemed to work fine. But I alsa had a problem with my photos..mostly on my iPhone. I had like 900 or so photos saved on my photo stream..and I used that to hold all my photos, rightt? CUZ I could delete pics from my camera roll but they'd still be on my photo stream Well now after I updated. THEY ARE ALL GONE. And I'm really sad. I don't know how to get those pics Back.

****** the **** off!!!! I hadn't updated my OS for almost 7 or 8 months because of a laptop issue. So I finally get a new laptop and I decide to update to the new OS on my iphone 4 and itunes on my laptop. I clicked yes to backing up my items on my phone. When the update finally finished, my apps and all of my freaking music (that I paid for) is gone!!!!! I can't locate it on my phone or laptop. My question is, what happened to my apps and music????

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that your iPad no long starts after an update and you have a backup for your iPad. It sounds like you will need to restore the device to factory and then will have the option to access your backup after the restore complete. The only information that should be missing would be after the backup was completed until the device is restored. I have included the steps for going through this process in the articles below.

If you have failed to make sure that any apps purchased on the iphone were transferred to your computer before updating, then you will have to redownload.
Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links.

Not letting me import any photos, RAw or JPG and all the pictures i had in lightroom are gone!

This has been very very frustration!!. Lightroom is not letting me import any pictures at all!! and all of the pictures i had on light room are now gone. i did not have this problem a week ago and nothing has changed! This needs to be fixed ASAP please because i am on a time crunch!!!

What do you mean by “not letting me import any pictures”? Are you unable to see pictures to import, or is there an error, or what? Are you using Mac or PC, and what operating system?

How recently did you backup your iPad? You can restore from that backup, which would, at least, restore calendar entries from the date of that backup.

Do you still see your photos, when you launch iPhoto and not Photos?
Where did you keep your iPhoto Library? In your Pictures folder, as is the default? Or on an external drive?
Look in the folder with your iPhoto Library.
You should be seeing two libraries, if you already let Photos upgrade the iPhoto Library:
Your iPhoto Library, now called .migratedphotolibrary
and the new Photos library:
are the libraries there? and how large are they?

I updated my 3rd gen ipod touch to ios 5.1, but all my files and notes that i saved on notes app are gone, I try to restore them in an earlier date, but I still can't get them back, is there another way i can get it back? These notes are very important to me, and it would be best if I can get them back.

Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "no" to creating a backup. (You don't want to overwrite the backup file with blank data.) You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPod. This time, say "yes."

Thanks Bob, I don't know why but it all of a sudden worked a few days later. It's a mystery but at least problem solved.

Have you looked on all the pages of your iPod? Have you looked in all your folders? Have you you tried finding the apps using the iPod's search page.

HT201210 After updating to IOS 6 I no longer had playlist in music, I turned on Match and now I have 2 of every playlist

after updating to IOS 6, I went out to mow my yard and listen to my music via bluetooth headset as I have done all summer. But to my surprise there was no longer a playlist not one!!!!!   so after mowing and listening to one album I tried turning on Match and now I have 2 of every playlist.
I realize that there will be a few glitches when upgrading a new system. I would like to see Apple come up with a simple way to contact Apple to let them know about these new problems. This is only one of them and there are a few more on the iphone and even more on the newest ipad.
for instance I buy 64gb iphones and ipads, because I do not want to stream my photos or music I do not always have access to wifi or cellular. Plus with over 5,000 songs and 15,000 photos it takes to long so I want to store them and us sync to save changes. I have a very advanced setup. with outdoor entertainment around the pool "covered" in the party room, in the house, in the RV outside the RV. The list goes on. I want my picturesand music stored!!!! not all Streamed. when ever we try to stream pictures or music for one of my parties there are freezes and hangups. Not something I like when I have 60- 100 friends over. Storeing all this to a device should be easy when I USB it to my IMAC!!!! also when I take pictures around my party and then the Apple TV fails to keep up streaming I plug the iphone into a source to the stereo's and the **** thing starts sending all my photo stream through the wifi to the computer and now it will not play music or photos until it is finished.   Here I go again with all these guest saying I thought you said apple was better!!!!! we need to be able to select when we want sync to happen to prevent this with out turning off icoud or phot stream.

I am back with an update. I turned off Match on both the ipad and the iphone 5. By doing so I was able to sync my Iphone and ipad to itunes and store the music on my devices rather than the slow streaming. So far this has fixed my problems with the iphone I have all my music, playlist, most of the album art and so on. But the ipad is a different story. I have the music and artist but not one playlist I am sure Apple will have an upgrade soon that will address these issues they are usually very good about this.
Now have any of you experienced another problem that has existed as long as I have used faces in Aperture.
I have over 200 faces and they are organized a-z problem is I have this going on A-Z folowed by a few that start over A-Z followed by another few A-Z and again a 4th time A-Z. Imagine how difficult it is while I am showing someone the great features of my iphone, ipad and imac. Which I do talk highly of all the time. But how do I explain that even though their name starts with a or b or what ever they are not important enough to me to be in the first list of A-Z or even the 2nd or 3rd list of A-Z someohow they are in the 4th section of the list!!!!
I have managed to get the Imac to fix this but for some reason the IOS devices do not.   Any ideas?

I need some help. How can I fix my iPhone4s? Yesterday I updated my ios to the newest version using my handset. And then early morning while using it the wifi suddenly turned off. I restarted my handset but still the same. The wifi still disabled. I'm here in the Philippines right now, I bought my handset last Dec 2012 in Macau. I can't remember if I still have the receipt. I had an older backup to go back to thankfully. I apparently was forced to learn a lesson and next time I will have a current backup prior to updating. I did not know until today that recovery mode means all data is lost. Oh well... Thank you for responding!
