I updated to IOS 6 but my WiFi won't work!

Whenever I try to connect to my wifi it will do it for like 3seconds then stop. Why isn't my wifi working?!?!

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset>Network Settings
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I updated addon compatibily program but it still won't work. Shockwave is crashing when I play on line. never did before

Updated to iOS 5 and now WiFi doesn't work?

Worked fine after I had updated, but now the phones won't pickup the signal unless I'm right next to the router, and if I walk like 5 feet away it's gone. Even next to the router it's only like 2 bars. Can't be the router as I've reset it anyway, but our other computers work fine, even my Macbook Pro picks up the signal all the way out back past my pool and on my dock.
I've reset network settings, hard-reset, restored etc. No idea whats going on, but I see a lot of complaints about WiFi issues with iOS 5

Also router is a Dlink 655 and is up to date, but like I said can't be a router issue when every other device is working perfectly and Macbook gets a signal way out back on my dock on the water. Both our 4 and 3GS on iOS 5 have same exact issue, within like a 5ft radius I have 2 bars of wifi (just dropped to one bar though)... the second i walk away into the kitchen or another room it's gone, netowrk doesn't even show up under WiFi (none do, even though there are other networks my other computers pick up from the area).
Apple screwed the pooch with this OS, how could they worked on it for way longer then other OS's and end up with the glitchiness one to date?
Tried changing the channel on the router to test, but made no difference.

It was working at first and now it won't connect. It just brings me to an apple page which states "Hmm, the page you're looking for can't be found." It won't connect.

Brand new iPod Touch, updated to iOS 4.2.1, WiFi no longer working

Bought my kids brand new 4G iPod Touches for Xmas, set them up and they worked fine. Last night, when I connected them to sync some new apps, iTunes prompted me to update the OS to 4.2.1, which I did. Now, the iPods can no longer connect to my Time Capsule. I have tried resetting the network settings, rebooting the iPod, even resetting my TC, and nothing seems to work. My Internet connection is fine, as all other computers in the house can get online just fine.
Any ideas or suggestions? This is really frustrating. Thanks!

I tried doing a restore on the iPod, twice. Once with a restore from backup, and then again as a new device. Still no WiFi. I'm really not happy about this. I'm almost certain it was the update to 4.2.1 that broke it.

After updating to iOS 7.0.3 wifi won't connect.

I've never had this problem before iOS 7. Now whenever I try to connect to my wifi at home I get a notification saying "Unable to join the network".
I've also tried reseting my network settings and it seems to help temporarily... sometimes. Other times it just takes a long time before it will finally connect. And it's getting very frustrating.

Oy... they moved it out of iTunes and into the Dashboard that you swipe from the bottom. just go there and you should see the Airplay button. I guess they did this because other programs can now access airplay beside itunes.

So I'm pretty baffled at this point. Last night I started downloading the iOS 7.1 update as my iPhone 4 was plugged into iTunes. The update did not complete on my phone. Instead, the dreaded "Connect to iTunes" logo appeared. After researching last night and again this morning, I have not found a solution.
When I plug my phone into iTunes, this message appears: "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." Then, I have the option to restore iPhone.
So, having come to terms that I will lose all data - luckily my photos and videos have all been uploaded to my computer - I began restoring it. As it's downloading, this message then appears:
I've read through the "More Information" page several times. Checked my host file, added the "# " in front of the gs.apple.com IP address, restarted the computer, and still no luck. I haven't tried updating or restoring on another computer yet, but I have a feeling that won't change anything - I've read other people's accounts and that step just didn't work.
I updated my iTunes to the lastest version and restarted. Nothing.
I downloaded tinyumbrella and RecBoot to try and exit the apparent recovery mode. This didn't work. I have tried numerous times restarting the phone (holding down the home button and power button) with different variations of unplugging the USB from my laptop, letting go of the home button when the Apple logo appears, holding down the + volume button along with the power button, etc.
Does anyone know what I should do? Would calling Apple help? Or would going in person to an Apple store be better? Would they replace my phone? I don't see how this can be resolved unless the Geniuses have a universal restart method that bypasses everything. I need my phone for work and would be okay with just restoring the phone. Note: My phone has not been jailbroken.
Really hope someone can help. I would greatly appreciate it...

The fact that gs.apple.com was in your host file to begin with is an indicator that your computer was used to jailbreak or hack an iOS device at some point in the past. You can not get help here for a hacked or jailbroken device. If your phone was hacked or jailbroken, Apple won't touch it.
RecBoot and Tinyumbrella are hacking tools.
Google "iPhone DFU mode".
Try restoring in DFU mode. If that doesn't fix it, make an appointment at the genius bar and see what Apple has to say about it.

Hi, I was forced to upgrade to IOS 6 due to a restore.
Since the upgrade, I have lost information, the App store is stuck in update mode, my battery drains in hours and many more problems.
Is there a way to go back to the VERY RELIABLE IOS 5? This phone is nearly useless now.

Just FYI - the situation is resolved. I downloaded the new snow leopard 10.6.8 update for safari and now itunes works. I have no idea what that has to do with anything - but I saw it on another forum and it actually worked.

Well, I've never paid that much attention to it, since I use the Touch ID on my 5S. I just purposely just clicked the home button and there does seem to be a delay, but again I can't be sure about before. I have had no issues with my device, so I'm guessing here, but it doesn't seem to make any difference, since I can actually slide it without that phrase even being on the screen.

Are you sure you don't see them when you swipe to the left?
I actually had only one icon showing on the second page .... and then all of the rest showed up on pages 3, 4, etc.
The Apple Music app is a red box with a white note

Try disabling your firewall; both on your PC and the external Firewall/Router.

I Tried for three days to download iOS 6 and kept getting error 1403. I finally went to the apple store and they couldn't figure it out either.
I finally got it to download and all I did different from the other 100 times was I went into settings and on the Bluetooth setting I put NO. Not sure if that's what did it but that was the only thing different that I did.

There are two solutions . . . I run my iTunes Library off an external hard drive. However, this may limit the portability of your library. Though a La Cie Rugged external would help with that (I love mine, though I use it for diagnostics and repair, not for iTunes--but it does get around).
You can also upgrade your hard drive as was previously suggested. I've bought my recent hardware from: http://www.powerbookmedic.com
They have lots of parts and great manuals!
