I upgraded creative cloud in windows 8 and it failed

I upgraded creative cloud in windows 8 and it failed. I couldn't start it anymore. So I deleted the corrupt files and wanted to download creative cloud again, but can't get it. What should I do?

    I do not  know how it is done, but you MAY be able to buy her a regular subscription and pay with your credit card... just not the Education version that has strict requirements

    I am trying to upgrade the Creative Cloud on Windows 8. Initially I got the A1E21 error. Turning off the firewall and anti-virus got me to a Creative Coud desktop failed to install message. Unin-stalling and atttempting to re-install got the same message.

    Here are the steps:
    1) Uninstall Creative Cloud.
    2) Reboot
    3) Make sure that the CC folder is empty
    4) Firewall OFF
    5) Antivirus OFF
    6) Reinstall
    Success

  • Creative Cloud App open and close / crash immediately.

    Creative Cloud App open and close immediately on mac book pro.
    There is no error message.
    I just see cloud icon on top bar for few second and the it disappear and nothing happened.
    What  I done:
    reset and reinstal the CC App few times
    uninstall CC App and run a Adobe Cleaner Tool and clean CC App. The install again
    I have CS6 still installed on Mac and can't uninstall right now.

    I've been having this issue for a while, and I FINALLY got it to work.  For what it's worth, here's what I did.
    I was trying to send files from my laptop to my desktop and for some reason i saw that my desktop couldn't find my laptop.  I went to the Sharing settings and saw that under my "Computer Name" there was nothing there.  This may have happened due to my upgrade to Mavericks.  Once I placed filled that info in, and restarted my laptop.  Lo and behold, Creative Cloud and Growl started working side by side again
    This may not be your issue, but I thought I'd pass it along.

    On Windows 8.1 machine when I enter my password in for Creative Cloud Sign In and hit enter/next I just get the 4 square hour glass, it never goes through and I cannot even close the window without canceling it using the task manager.   This is my creative cloud subscription on my home computer I am having the problem with.  It may be related to one of these two following issues:
    1. Last week I got a new computer at work and had to reinstall creative cloud on it and deactivated all my computers in the process.  I was able to install and sign in fine at work. 
    2. On my home computer (Windows 8.1) which used to be fine until I deactivated it is the one on which I am having the problem signing in.  At home I also just installed a new router (Linksys AC1600) two days ago as my old one crapped out, so maybe that's my problem?  I'm not sure, but everything else on the Internet is working for me with the new router.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the suggestion but I have attempted this many times to no avail. As I said in my original post, "I have researched this problem on this forum and the Adobe site and believe that I have tried everything over the past week."
    It is very late here (I am in Greece). I will have a further attempt in the morning. The windows machine is hut down. Thanks for your help.

  • I can't open Creative Cloud in Windows 7. I get nothing -- not even the blank window.

    It's worked fine until yesteday. Initially it only opened the white window and I followed many suggestions on this forum, renamed OOEB, used CC Cleaner, reinstalled, deleted opm.db. Now it is worse — it will not even open the blank window. I get the spinning circle for a few seconds and then it stops. If I watch the task manager I can see it try to load and then it doesn't. Help please.

    I have just been chatting with Adobe and I have resolved the situation on my computer.
    Open up Run and enter %localappdata%/adobe/ and hit ok. Delete OOBE and AAMupdater folders.
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and delete OOBE and Adobeapplicationmanager folders. If another program is not allowing you to delete open up task manager and end these processes AAM updater, AAM notifier, Adobe crash demon, CEF helper, IPC broker, Coresync then try deleting.
    Now go to the location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe and delete the Adobe Creative Cloud folder. If you cannot delete, try renaming the folder to Adobe Creative Cloud2.
    Now download the Application Manager from here Adobe - Adobe Application Manager
    Install it and let it do its updates. Once it is done the Creative Cloud program window should open.
    Hopefully it works for you.

    They have a single use subscription for $20/mo.  Similar to upgrading extended version every 1.5 years.
    2)  WHAT if I created projects like 2 months ago and I didn't use Photoshop for a full month.  Who assures us that with the CC series the projects are opened with the old CS ones?Or don't use it every day?
    Same problem if you own it.  If upgrade price is $400 every 1.5 year that is same as $16/month.  You can choose not to update and version will be same as when you last used it.

    4) Adobe, do you think to be the only one making these softwares?
    Competition is always a factor in market.

    After running cleaner tool, follow below steps :
    End all Adobe process from Task Manager .
    1) Open Control Panel and Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features .
    Under Program and Features list,If present remove Adobe Creative Cloud option.
    2) Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
    3) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
    4) Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
    Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.
    appdata
    Then navigate to Local>Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
    5) Click on the below link and download Adobe Application Manager and install the same.
    Once the installation process is completed , it will create shortcut icon on Desktop.
    Double click on it and update, it will get updated to Creative Cloud :
