I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Yosemite. I no longer can edit any of my photos. The moment I click on one to edit... it goes to a black screen. My desktop Mac is fine... only the laptop seems to have this issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

I am using a MacBook Pro... late 2011. 8GB, 2.4 GHz... upgraded to OS X 10.10
I photo is 9.6... and says there is no current update available.
I haven't tried too much, thinking that an update would be coming soon to address
the current iPhoto issues everyone seems to be having.

Solved it.  Thank you very much for that!

I am very confused about something and cannot find a clear answer within the Oracle docs or Sun's Java docs. When using connection pooling, you create an OracleConnectionPoolDataSource, obtain a PooledConnection, then a JDBC Connection (this is fine)
