I upgraded my wife's iPhone 5c to iOS8. Need help

Hello all. I upgraded my wife's iPhone 5c to the ios8 last night. All day or had been showing the cloud drive as upgrading. I don't think that this is right? Any help is appreciated.

She will have to log into your iCloud account on her iPhone and select My Photo Stream in the Settings/iCloud/Photos window. That raises problems regarding her own email, calendars, etc. since she will be logged into your iCloud account. She'll be getting your email, messages, etc. if those options are enabled.
Have your wife create shared photo streams to share with only you each month,. Then you can download from the shared streams and import into iPhoto.

Don't know what you mean by "some time ago", but unless you activated Find My Phone and the phone is still on, the answer is no. (Even if you ask 3 times).

Just got iPhone 4s 8gb and need help

I was forced into getting a new phone. I liked the LG I had, with a pull out keyboard, but of course it went berzerk exactly one year and one month later, so one month after warranty expired. I was sort of talked into (yes, I went along with it) getting an iPhone. My first "smart phone," and I've never felt so dumb. I really hate it right now but will try to learn it.
No one at the store would tell me anything. There was no manual in the box. I had to be told by someone at work to tap Safari and then find the manual -- they couldn't even tell me THAT at the store ?! How would I know "Safari" means anything?
Also, since "tapping" wasn't working at all for me, I had to get that stylus pen thing and I kept asking the woman "isn't there a case where you can have both the phone and the pen together? Where am I supposed to put this pen thing without constantly having to look for it?" She just basically ignored me and made me buy a case that was useless because she went along with my question about there being no case that holds the pen. Now I'm told that of course there are cases like that -- somewhere !! Not in that store though ! I feel so ripped off.
Anyway, how do I know if I'm being charged when I go to YouTube etc. from my phone now. I have no idea what my bill is going to be. The store is right across the street from me, but the people are useless there. Can someone tell me the best way to get the best information about the phone and also about my account ???

You had to add a data plan to your plan (you stated this is your 1st smartphone so I assume you are in one of the newer tiered plans) so the first question is, what plan do you have? You can track your data usage by logging in to My Account on verizonwireless.com. As long as you don't go over your alloted data plan then you won't be charged extra for using data. You can cut down on data usage by using wifi access whenever possible.
As far as a case that fits your needs...you can search the internet to see if something fits what you're looking for. I don't use a stylus so I can't recommend anything but maybe someone else can. If you aren't happy with the case you already purchased you can simply take it back for a refund.
Apple.com is one of the best places to get support info on things related to your new iPhone. You can also download the manual on there (and print it out if you prefer having a physical copy). http://support.apple.com/manuals/
If your local VZW store offers classes on the iPhone 4s then you may benefit from taking it. It is free. You would need to check the website or call your local store to find out if and when they next have one. If there is an Apple store in your area you can also take a class with them to learn about your new iPhone.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then the remaining items of:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I'm having trouble connecting to wifi. It doesn't recognize any of the networks I usually connect with, including my own. Can anyone help?

Try reboot your router, update router firmware from the manufacturer website.
In iPhone's Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try reconnect again to your Wi-Fi.
Lastly, do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.

I don't care how old it is! I have a 5 year old dell laptop and a brand new dell laptop but I still get the same updates for both from windows! I don't do contract phones, Its the biggest money sham in the market. So, that being said im not spending my hard earned money on a new phone when I have a perfectly good one now! I'm in Bali and my Iphone is missing. Need help please figuring out what to do.

I tried to locate it by using ICloud but got a message says the phone is offline. Then I locked it via I Cloud. Now I have an email saying:
"Putra wijaya was locked at 10:57 PM on April 19, 2012 using your new passcode.", and IPhone shows this name listed on my phone on ICloud. I'm trying to track down this person but it may be impossible since it the phone location won't show up on I Cloud.. What should I do? I sent a message to the phone offering a reward but I'm not sure if the message will get through if the phone is locked. If it's locked does that mean the person can't use it? Why does the phone now have this persons name attached to it on my I Cloud page? Should I wipe the phone and cut my losses? If I wipe it does that mean I no longer can communicate with it? My hope was that if the phone is locked the person can't use it, and if he gets the message I sent offering a reward, he will return it. But I have no idea if the message will get through, or how this all works with I Cloud. Thanks so much for advice!

The searching is not wi-fi related - it is searching for a cell network. You need to disable 3G and Cellular data uder Settings, General, Network.
To find your settings and google icons, swipe the screen left to reveal other screens - they're there somewhere

IPhone 2.0 update- NEED HELP PLEASE

i downloaded the new software and plugged my phone in to the computer while it uploaded on my phone. i went into the other room for a few seconds and when i came back it looked like the upload had finished but a notice had popped up. the notice closed by itself before i could finish reading it. the only thing i managed to read was to leave the phone connected. its been an hour since then and nothing has happend and when i press the home button its a picture of the white apple usb cord with an arrow pointing to the itunes icon. did i miss some imporatant instructions or does it just take a long time? please help :]

It takes a while, depending on how busy the server is.
The sign you missed said , basically, do not unplug the iphone when this process finishes your iphone will be recognized in itunes. After that, at some point, it connects to the server. Then after a while of that it restores the software on the iphone. Then everything looks like normal again.

There's no way that you can fix the issue. The components that charge the phone in the 30 pin dock are most likely fried, so the phone needs to be replaced. You could try to have it fixed at a place that repairs iphones, but i can't think of anything that you can do yourself to fix it

Using the iPhone internationally...Need help!

I want to know how I can use my U.S. iPhone in Europe and to work as an international phone. I will be in Greece/Europe for an entire year and I want to continue using my iPhone. If I have to buy a new iPhone in Europe that will be fine (as long as it works in Europe and I can get calls to my old U.S. iPhone forwarded). Is it possible to buy a new iPhone in Greece to work for all of Europe (with a Greek number of course) and then have all my calls from the U.S. iPhone forwarded to it? If there is a better way, please tell. Thanks in advance.

Having calls forwarded to an international number could get quite expensive.

Unable to get Linksys smart wifi to work...I NEED HELP!

I am unable to benefit from the additional tools from Smart Wifi for EA3500. I have the the account, the password, but when I login it says you need to associate your router with your system...I've tried myrouter.local, linksyssmartwifi, enter the password and still i get your need to associate your router with your account. NOT sure what I am doing but all I know is after 8+months of trying various things to get this to work I about to remove it and go back to just a standard router without wireless account garbage that everyone seems to have trouble connecting. My system is fairly new Lenovo only had it maybe 5 months using windows 8.1. Any help will be most appreciated! Please give step by step instructions, please don't assume I know computers/routers/networking because if i did i wouldn't have these problems... :-) Pretend I am 10yrs and you have to be specific and detailed about what,where,how,etc., regarding getting smart wifi tools to work.... No offense to 10 year olds...

AT&T Do not open my new iPhone to sim free :( NEED HELP PLEASE :(

I just bought an AT&T iPhone 4 from eBay and i live in Israel.
I need to unlock the phone because our "Carrier" {ORANGE} do not work if the iPhone not sim free.
I called AT&T "1-800-3310-500" few times follow this article: "http://www.noeman.org/gsm/mobile-phone-talk/48308-why-pay-t-unlock-code.html" for a "non-customers" section .
AT&T rep say that she cannot help me if I'm not an AT&T customer, I asked them what can i do? I bought the iPhone from eBay and the person that sold me the iPhone also send me an AT&T Sim card and when i insert to the iPhone and open the iTune i saw the old number so i told to the AT&T rep that i have an old AT&T Sim and if she can open the phone? She say OK took my IMEI number and then suddenly she ask me what is the 4 social number digit of the Sim holder? I told her i don't know i bought the phone from eBay i only have the person name, Sim number and paypal confirmation, i don't know the social number... then she say that she cannot do nothing...
Please help what can i do?

The iPhone 4 I mentioned above was bought from eBay I have problems that the iPhone is locked to AT&T carrier although the previous customer graduated his payments to the company.
In the last few days I called (1-800-3310-500) and Corresponded ([email protected]) with AT&T number of times and ask from the represent to open the phone to Sim free because I live in Israel and my Carrier is “ORANGE” and when I remove AT&T Sim and insert my local Sim, the phone not working. I told them that I can send them the PayPal transaction confirmation on the Acquisition and the IMEI on the phone.
They say that only AT&T customers can ask to open the phone and I'm not a customer thats why they cannot begin the apply request to Apple.
I love Apple products and I use them every day and very happy.
When someone say to me change to Android products I tell him it's like to compare between BMW and Subaru cars, ofcource the BMW represend the Apple IOS system.
I think what AT&T doing is Bullying!!!
