I upgraded to OS 10.8.5 and i have lost 4 major applications
I just discovered that I no longer have Photoshop, Appleworks, Microsoft Word , Version tracker Pro, Popcorn, and a Bridge game I play all of the time. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? I have no program to write with anymore, I can't edit my photos, copy DVDs or play bridge. I only upgraded to this system because I had to in order to make my new Apple Extreme link up to my new modem.
Can I go back?
If you use Photoshop a lot, then get the CS6, which is still available in a perpetual license boxed version. Adobe has stated that they are going to support CS6 indefinitely. Note that the boxed version of CS6 won't have quite all of the same features as the Creative Cloud version.
CS6 will last you a lot longer as the Mac OS progresses. There's no guarantee a version as old as CS3 will work in Mavericks, or what comes after that. Then you'll just have to upgrade again.
You'll have to purchase a full version copy since whatever you have (CS2 at the newest) is too old to qualify for any kind of upgrade discount. If you have no need for the 3D features in the extended version, then this is about the cheapest price you'll find for the standard version of CS6.
For Office, purchase MS Office 2011 for Mac. Get the business version if you need Outlook, which replaced Entourage as the included email client. If you use Mail in OS X, then get the cheaper Home edition, which leaves Outlook out of the package.
Eric's method is by far the cheapest, though. Make sure you have at least 8 GB of RAM installed to have a VM and Photoshop running in the host OS.

Have you repaired permissions and restarted your computer after installing ML? Checked your printer settings in System Preferences?
If Software Update does not list any updated drivers for your model printer, you should go to the printer's manufacturer website and download the drivers from there and/or contact their tech support to determine if your printer is compatible w/ML.

I upgraded i Tunes to 10.1 and I've lost the datas of albums and authors: with the previous version the datas of my CDs, that I put on an external drive like .wav files, i Tunes recognize authors and albums, with the new version I've got only one big "unknown album". How can I do to make it see those datas? Thanks!!!

Screensavers have changed in Mountain Lion too. You are not the only one that complains about them. OS X Mountain Lion keeps some of the old Lion screensavers, but others were replaced -
I have recently upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 7 and I have lost 3 app icons. The apps still appear in settings, so I can't reinstall the app as they're already there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling via an iTunes sync, but it hasn't helped. The 3 apps are bbc iplayer, itv player and sky go.
Can anyone help please?Have you checked to see if the Apps have been placed in an App folder?
Try swiping down from the middle of the screen so the search bar appears. Type the name of the App and if the App appears it is indeed on your phone.
You could also try restarting your device by holding the power and home button until the Apple logo appears. -

I have upgraded my iTunes for Windows and I have lost all my apps and music.
Although i signed in with my iTunes account, i can see only 5 apps (that i downloaded in the last 2-3 days), although on my iPad and iPhone i have more than 100 apps.
If i connect my devices to iTunes, the syncronisation will be made the other way, from iTunes to iPhone/iPad, so i will lose everything.
1. How can i restore these apps from the iCloud back-ups from my devices to my iTunes? Or any other method possible?
2. If you can also give me a suggestion about how to find my music playlists, that would save me from a lot of useless work on creating them again.

Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
In the unlikely event that all the media has been inexplicably and permanently removed from your computer, see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
When you get it all working make a backup!

I recently upgraded our iMac to Yosemite OS and now have a problem with Photoshop Elements 11: the move tool selects an image or text layer, but then I try to drag the selection somewhere else on the page and it snaps back to the original location, however the arrows will move it OK. Also I cannot drag the selection to another photo in the photo bin as before.

Thank you.If I follow you correctly, you either have or will be replacing the hard drive in your iMac. You don't have the original OS X disks nor an operating system disk. Do you have a bootable backup? Here are some steps/options:
1) If you have a bootable backup, install the hard drive, boot from the external hard drive, then use SuperDuper or CCC to copy the external hard drive to your new internal hard drive.
2) You have your old hard drive, and it's not dead. Put it into an external case and see above.
3) You don't have either a bootable backup or a working old hard drive. You can try calling Apple Support to see if they still have the original OS X disks for your system. If they do, they'll charge a nominal price for them.
4) You checked and Apple no longer has disks for your system. You can go to the used market to buy Leopard 10.5 disks. If you do, be sure and get retail black-faced disks, but don't get the black-faced disk which is an upgrade disk .... if you don't have 10.4 on your system, it won't work. Careful of gray-faced OS X disks as they are locked to the original system type they ship with. So a gray faced OS X 10.5 disk for a MacBook won't work on your iMac.
5) Another related option is to buy 10.6 Snow Leopard, if your system meets requirements. This is still sold by Apple, and in the US is available online for $29.99 from the Apple store. Snow Leopard requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel processor
1GB of memory
5GB of available disk space
DVD drive for installation
6) Or you could consider Lion, via the USB stick that is sold in Apple stores. Lion requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory (4GB recommended)
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen. -
My old hard-drive has corrupted and i have lost my library. i lost my back up too. I have restored all my purchased stuff but had 5000 songs uploaded from my CD collection. Is there anyway of transferring the CD tracks from my ipod or ipod to my iMac? Or do I have to manually upload the CDs again?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod/iphone/ipad: File>Transfer Purchases -
I use to have a iTunes account with my old computer, and I have lost all my iTunes music, some purchased, some downloaded from another source. Now I'm using a brand new computer (Windows) and I have opened a NEW iTunes account, but I now I need to figure out if it is possible to recoup my music content that I originally had. I had, I believe around close to 300 songs on my account ;(......Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Now remove all your info and update the old AppleiD/iTunes account and use only that account.
You cannot transfer items between iTunes accounts.
You can redownload all the content. -

I’ve got a new MacBookair11 2weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Today I’ve tried to synchronize it via icloud with my ipad and I have lost the camera.
Looking through help in internet I found out that I had to reset the SMC. I did exactly as per instructions given but with no luck.
Is there any other solutions that will fix my camera for facetime and iphoto?
