I use firefox 29on mac since updade I cant use search bar/google. if type address inaddressbar ok. uninstall and reinstall does not help

I updated Firefox yesterday since than I can't do google search from searchbar. Most addresses when typed into addressbar directly are working but not all. All bookmarks are working fine.
If I type www.google.com in the address bar I'm forced to install flashplayer ( I will not!!)
If I however type in www.google.co.za i can serch in the folloing search window

Firefox crashes several minutes after opening every time I use it. I think Firefox was updated shortly before this started. Uninstalling and reinstalling have not helped. Updating all plug-ins has also had no effect. Would appreciate help fixing this.

Browser starts out working normally but within a few minutes it freezes, stops responing and I have to close it using Task Manager. When I open Task Manager, it shows two Firefox programs running with different icons even though I only opened one window.

Firefox opens three sided frame when you open it. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help.

Firefox 5 cannot load properly. When it loads, it opens a blank frame with three sides showing (left, bottom, right). I say the frame is blank because it shows the blank desktop color inside the frame. Uninstall and reinstall was not successful.

Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Click the Update or Restore button that iTunes offers.

Firefox was automatically updated to 7 and now all the websites I go on the horizontal active things you would click on will not do anything. eg in ebay I can't access "My ebay" and in facebook can't click on my profile or messages, in Flickr I can't click on "Your Photostream" which means I can't use it. I tried explorer and all these work so it has to be firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled and ran a complete system virus check on top of the active ongoing one and nothing no change. I am at a loss what to do now. A relative suggested downloading an older version that worked but I can't even see how to do that. I had installed a new driver and then, downloaded Firefox 7. It has over 100 cookies in the download. Deleting them from cookies in the browser does not help since is within the download. How can I permanently delet these cookies? Thank you.

Since it is in the download, I am unable to permanently delete these (over 100) cookies and they continue to reoccur each time I open the browser. Sometimes the cookies will not delete when I try to remove only "one" cookie and I must remove "all". I have used Firefox as my browser for years but this has never happened.

You can't remove opt-out cookies that are added by an extension as long as that extension is enabled or installed. If you choose to install such an extension then you have to accept the presence of 100 or more cookies added by the extension.

When I try to bring Firefox up it does not show that it is. If I shut my computer down it will come up the first time and as long as I leave it open it is okay. When I log out it does not come back up the next time. I am not having trouble with Chrome or Explorer.

It says:

Since upgrading to FF 16, browser can't find sites -have tried your solutions and they have not helped (Mac)

When i go to websites, including bookmarks or repeats - sometimes they open, sometimes not. Often it takes a long time and then goes to Earthlink / Yahoo search page, over and over. Very annoying. I did not have this problem prior to the upgrade. I saw (using Safari) that FF 16 has been shut down, but I can't seem to download the older version. It always defaults to 16 and I really don't want it.
I have tried all the troubleshooting ideas on Mozilla, including restarting Firefox, clearing cache & cookies and history, changing firewall prefs, etc. Did not fix it (yet I still had the pain of reconfiguring prefs)
