I use Firefox at work and home. I have different screens on thee two computers. I can't figure out how to make them the same even though all settings match.
At home the address bar etc is grey but my settings are for rose. At work using the colour settings the address bar is rose. I have a different setup with icons on the two screens. At home I have the refresh icon between the search bar and address bar, at work I can't find the refresh icon. I have tried customizing and all I still can't the same screens. Both computers are running Windows XP. I believe I am running the same version of Firefox in both computers.

How do I move a movie I have synced from iTunes into the "Movies" tab of the Video App? I need to access a slideshow I made in IMovies and may not have WiFi. I did it once, but can't figure out how to do it again! The file is an m4v. Thank you!
Im just guessing but it seems like you would have to get your movie into the correct folder on a computer then use iTunes to sync it to your iPad. If you've synced to a computer and have movies then on your computer should be a folder with the movie in it. You could export your iMovie to something like Dropbox then download from Dropbox to the folder you think it needs to be in the sync your iPad again. Again this is just a guess. Others may have a better answer.

I formatted my hard drive and backed up all my bookmarks to an external hard drive. I now want to take my bookmarks from my external hard drive and put them into my freshly formatted computer but I can't seem to find the place on my hard drive to save my bookmarks to. I searched everywhere online and it keeps telling me to import an html, but that doesn't help when I have about 20 bookmark folders and about 100 bookmarks altogether. Please help. Thank you.

Firefox doesn't store bookmarks like that, sound like a Windows / IE favorites scheme used for '''''url''''' files and folders which isn't directly compatible with the way Firefox does things. Firefox uses a '''json''' file for bookmark backups, a '''bookmarks.html''' for import and export is bookmarks, and stores the users bookmarks in the '''places.sqlite''' file, along with browsing history.
Put those folders and bookmarks in the '''\user\Favorites\''' folder so they are in IE and export your IE Favorites in HTML format, so you can import them into Firefox.
In IE:
File > Import/Export - Export to HTML file

Living in Japan and I'm an American who just signed up with Soft Bank the phone service here and spent a TON of money on an iPhone. I can't figure out how to connect my bank account at home to my app account so I can Skype my family. Please help!!!! I don't have a credit card nor do they gove debit cards to foreigners here, or at least it's really hard so I'm using my bank at home and still have a debit there. My phone number is 8 numbers plus the country code which is strange! Another thing is I was given a phone email that I was told to use for texting but I'm not sure how that works!! I turned off my phone and when I turned it back on, all my apps were deleted. I tried to reinstall my apps, but it wouldn't let me. My storage still remained the same even though, all my apps were deleted. How can I get my apps back?
Hold the home and power button down until your phone restarts. If that doesn't work, backup and restore using iTunes.

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Downloads - I want to open some PDFs/other file types from the internet but not have to save them. I can't figure out how to view them and close them without having to save them first. When I click on a file, the downloads box opens and depending on the setting, it auto saves the file or asks me where to save the file. What if I don't want to save it anywhere, I just want to view it and close it?

How do I use GarageBand as a amp/speaker to listen to my Electronic Drum set? I have a MIDI-USB cord already but I can't figure out how to listen to my set through the software using my computer speakers?
If you want to listen to the sounds of your drum set, you should use an audio cable and connect it to the computer's line-in, then create a real instrument track.
If you use a Midi/USB interface, you'll have to create a software instrument track and select one of GB's drumsets as the instrument. Hopefully your drumset's midi notes are mapped to the right sounds in GB. -
I am trying to enter a hotel password for internet access. The password is all lower case, but the 1st letter I type is always upper case and I can't figure out how to make it lower case. Help?
The digital keyboard on the iPad uses an "Up Arrow" as a symbol to represent its shift key(s). If it's highlighted, then the next letter typed will be upper-case. Just tap on the Arrow symbol and it should be unhighlighted. Now if you type any letter, it will be lower-case.

The Time Capsule drive is a network drive. You have to mount it on the desktop before you will be able to drag/drop files onto the disk. More tips are in this thread:

The Time Capsule was designed for your backups.
If you move a file to the Time Capsule drive and delete the file from your Mac.....you have no backup.
Your only copy of the file will be on the Time Capsule drive. I would only do this with files that I could afford to lose.
All drives fail. When.....not if....the Time Capsule drive has a problem, you will lose your data. -
I have been writing on - Pages- app for several years. Pages automatically uses double space between paragraphs. I can not figure out how to make single space between paragraphs. Tried everything. Please help!

I filmed several takes of the same scene for a movie. I trimmed the best clips from each take and put them into the project screen. However, I can't figure out how to make it flow seamlessly as one scene. Can someone please help me??

If your computer is on one minute before it freezes, than you have one minute to secure your serial number.
click the apple----->click about this Mac ------> click on version----> until you see the serial number. You may have to do this a couple of times if it freezes before you have all the numbers. A camera might help.

I have version 4, just downloaded, and a Mac w. OS 10.6. 7.
The bookmarks display (when I pull down "bookmarks") is much too wide. I can't figure out how to reduce the display size. The window is not persistent so I can't even get you a screen shot.
Thanks, SaraIt seems there was a change in Firefox 4 where the width of the drop-down is now determined by the length the longest bookmark name in the folder being displayed. Previous versions of Firefox would shorten a long name like that and add an ellipsis to signify the name was truncated.
Sorry, I don't know how to change that other than to advise you to edit the name of that long bookmark name and make it less verbose. Just scroll down the list of bookmarks in that wide folder until you see the culprit, then right-click that bookmark and open Properties & edit the Name line at the top of that dialog.
