I use Firefox to access my college's website and my account there. Ever since I downloaded the new Firefox, I can't log in to my account at my college and I get error messages. What's wrong?
Ever since downloading the most recent firefox update, I have not been able to log in to my account at my college's website. I just get error messages every time. Even when I went to the Computer Sciences person at the college, he couldn't figure it out either. I need to be able to use Firefox to log in there because I have to download pdf files from there and Firefox is the only browser that seems to let me do that. But now that I can't even log in b/c of this stupid Firefox update, then its totally worthless to me.

Ever since I downloaded the new itunes I can't burn CD's using my external
I can't burn cd's using my writemaster external CD drive. I can't use the one inside the computer because it's a piece of crap and burned out months ago. I burned a CD yesterday with no problem My only guess is that it has something to do with the new itunes! Help! Suggestions? Support numbers I can call? Anything!
Oh! and Sorry... I downloaded some other burn software a little bit ago, and it's working fine. It's just WAY slower than iTunes. Anyone know what I can do?!

ok, so ever since I downloaded the newer version of Firefox my tabs icon (+) on the top is gone. I know I can hit cntrl T, but I really like just clicking the + which opens a new tab. How do I get that back?? I've looked around the HELP section and can only find info about what tabs are etc... Even in all the picutres about the feature it shows the + icon at the top of the page to open a new one. What do I do??

I don't HAVE any more details. Whenever I open a new site, I get (so far) one of two full screen advertisements. Most of the time there is the word "Skip" in the upper right hand corner, but on occasion that is not there, and there no way to get beyond the ad screen except to go into what they are trying to sell you. It is imposing and obnoxious to the nth. This has only happened since I downloaded the latest version (I think the BETA 4) 3 days ago. If this can not be resolved, I want to go back to the older version.

I own a PC and itunes store was running fine on it... up until i downloaded the new version and then it quit working it would load about half way and then quit and turn the store home page white i have tried a few different things including re installing, trying to fix it, but nothing has worked!
this has happened to me once before on an older computer and i could never get it back working then either and it has also happened to another person i know and they also have tried to fix it! i am very fusterated with itunes/apple for not fixing this issue becuase it has happened to many others as well!!

Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

Try this instead
Open picture B, the one you wish to select something from to add to another picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and object B on a separate layer.
To unlock the background layer, double click on it in the layers palette. Perhaps your tutorial will guide you through the process. -
It takes awhile for anything/everything to load after I click on it when I'm online. It will freeze up about every 3 to 5 minutes for approx. 5 to 10 seconds at random. Some of my games will not load correctly on when I'm on "KING.com". This problem does NOT occur when I use "Internet Explorer" Can I go back to a earlier version of FIREFOX ?

I recently downloaded the new Firefox (Firefox 4, I think - you can tell I'm very tech savvy!) and it constantly freezes, I can't do anything with it at all - I can't even close it from the icon in my Mac dock bar.
I have tried restarting my computer - though I have to turn it off by using the power button as as Firefox is open and totally unresponsive it won't let me shut down. About a minute after re-starting Firefox, restoring my tabs or starting afresh, it freezes again.
This is obviously very annoying and I'm not sure what I can do about it. Firefox is my preferred browser, and I'd really like to be able to use it again!This is not a reply. I just want to elaborate on this problem.
My computer freezes occasionally when it is used after being sleep for a while. The spinning ball appears and everything is totally disabled. Nothing on the keyboard works.
The mouse moves, but does not work.
The only solution is to turn the power off and on (losing all data in open applications.)
I kept the System monitor running on the side to find out which program was running when the computer froze. The Monitor as well as all other applications froze, but the data showed:
Firefox 18.4%
Activity Monitor 0.9%
Firefox Plugin 0.2%
This is all the information I have. By the way, I am using iMac with OS 10.6. -
