I use images for presentations. Recently I've noticed a decrease in quality ( sharpness and definition) of pictures copied into Keynote. Same problem with both JPEGs and TIFF files. I've recently upgraded to keynote 09, but with no improvement.

I use images of paintings for presentations. Over the last 3 months or so I've noticed that I cannt copy images (either JPEg or TIFF) without a reduction in sharpness and definition. Hope someone can help with this problem.

Figured it out myself! yay! (only took my entire moring)
The solution:
Dont print to PDF!
SAVE AS COPY, then select Adobe PDF and click SAVE, this will bring up a dialog box with the options you need (including the "High Quality Print" Adobe PDF Preset)

Have you moved Pages from its installed location? Or just dragged a copy to your current system?
It can't find some of its resources apparently.

I have been having the exact same problem for weeks now with gmail. None of my computers will send Gmail (they will recieve) and my Maverick computers (10.9.1) show gmail smtp.gmail.com as "offline". I had installed Post Box and apple support thought it was that i had too many accounts (I have 2 ipads, an iphone (latest iOs), a work and home iMac and a powerbook). I disabled all my gmail accounts in Mail and still no go from PostBox either . I tried connection doctor and it just spins for outgoing and say I either haveve the wrong pw or login - I dont. I terminaled and tested port 465 (according to gmail instructions) and it works (port 25 did not). I can access gmail from the webmail and send/recieve mail from it and it shows up in my webmail outbox. It is configured for imap.I just cannot send mail at all from any gmail account from any apple device using Mail (or PostBox). I am at a loss as was the apple support person who wished me good luck very politely and sympathetically.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

I wouldn't think so. Everyone who migrated from a MobileMe account got an extra 20GB free until 30 Sept, and the emails now being sent out presumably go to everyone regardless of any subsequent storage purchase. As you've paid for 50GB this should be unaffected (but I should keep an eye on it!). Using Images for Tabbed Panels

I'm trying to use button images that I created in photopshop as the background for the tabs of my tabbed panel widget in dreamweaver. I tried this by inserting the folling code into the css (note bold line):

I;m trying to see which file size will render me the best sharpiness for my images. I'm having issues because as a photographer I need my images to render very sharp when view in my Motion5 projects. I look at the properties menu the canvas size is 1280 by 720. Yes I know Motion5 is rendering my files at 30 frames per second or something like that. Yet I need sharp rendering of my images, help

For maximum sharpness, your canvas should be 1920 x 1080 for HD output and set your export settings (or Canvas Render settings) to Best. Upon export, you can access that property in the export dialog from the Render tab > Render Quality -- the default is Use canvas setting, but you can override your canvas settings here. Since one of your pix sizes is 1380, then the 720 canvas would be the maximum size you could use. You do not want to scale images larger to fill the canvas as they will soften in appearance, but you can always scale images down to fit the canvas and retain their "apparent" sharpness (you still lose pixels and fine detail, but the images will sharp).

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iTunes. I suggest removing iTunes and all related components and reinstalling iTunes for the issue you described. The following article has steps to do this(it is important to remove all components in the order listed):

You haven't enabled VoLTE (Advanced calling) have you? Not that it makes a difference just curious.

Ipad air using iOS 8.1.1 refuses to mirror or use airplay. Same problem with iPhone 5c.

I use an iPad Air to deliver keynote presentations via Airplay using Apple TV. Did this a few months ago no problems. Tried yesterday to deliver a presentation iPad refuses to mirror/airplay. Both are on same wifi - signal is good. Select tick box for airplay (mirroring tab is selected) but nothing happens! After barely a few seconds tick box jumps and selection is removed. Tried hundreds of times same result. Have tried powering down and re-staring all the equipment no joy. Restarted router no joy. Interesting to note have same problem with iPhone 5C (and 4S which is still on IOS 7). Any help gratefully received. Thank you.

By accident solved my own problem. Apple TV and iPad were working on the same wifi network, close to the router, with a strong signal. That signal is boosted to the far corners of the house via a network based on the Airport Extreme & Express units. Perversely Airplay & mirroring only works when picking up that weaker wifi signal via a different channel! Now to see if a similar solution works for the iPhones.

Upgraded one iPad to 8.1 about 10 days ago since then have to restart wireless hub each day to use, other iPad on previous os no problem until upgraded yesterday now have the same problem although both devices show wireless connection.

we have two iPads (ipad2 and an iPad mini). The ipad 2 was upgraded to os 8.1 about 10 days ago, since then I have to restart my wireless hub every day to use the ipad. I have however been able to use the iPad mini running on the previous os without any problem. Last night I upgraded the mini to os 8.1 and this now suffers the same problem. Both iPads display a strong wireless signal to my hub but don't want to seem to connect. I have had BT check my broadband connection and they found no problem, whatever is causing it has happened since upgrading from 8.0.2 to 8.1

I have been experiencing the same problem. My mail app won't even open on my Late 2011 Macbook Pro. It will show as open, but the app will never actually show up.

Upgraded to 3.6.9 and now will not bookmark, automatically reloaded 3.6.2 twice, now on 3.6.10 same problem with bookmarking, safe mode makes no difference

Try updating your drives firmware. Click 'Firware Updates' on the right hand side of this page, then follow the instructions and download the update, then install. See if that helps. Its worth updating the firmware anyway :P
