Since CC is also meant for Fun,im just putting down this thread for fun sake only.If moderaters find it offensive,then plz they can remove it.
Im a regular visitor of coffee corner,though i have not seen or met any one over here,but i do have a kinda image of them while reading their posts at CC.

Kishan p--one of my fav...like a keralite,.tall person with thick moustach n serious by nature(unless a followed ur CC post..;))
Amit Gujargoud--Kinda Jaath Build up,handsome..& abt sense of humour ---no comparision.
Sameer Jagirdar--A very cool going,calm person,with specs..very fair with superp presense of mind.
last not the leastsaslovesapa very thin guy with a cute look..(CC is incomplete without his one for all post..)

Yep, it is funny to put a face, voice, more character of the person to a user ID after you have met them on SDN only.
I have met many people in person at the TechEds and in Walldorf after having first met them on SDN. One guy I finally met this year in Vienna who I had almost on a daily basis "talked to" in the forums since about 6 years (the SDN security forum came later) and also mailed often as well. We had almost nothing left to say to each other, until we had a beer and the abyss topic "mother-in-law" was found
SDN type of visits to the US and India are still on the cards for me though, particularly India (hopefully this year for TechEd) as there there are so many contributors from the country in my forum areas.
Also meeting Thomas Zloch last year in Berlin was a shocker! She is drop dead gorgeous!!

I'm going with a FW400 external hard drive as a primary backup for my iMac (speed), but I'm thinking about trying out the D-Link DSM-G600 Wireless Network Storage Enclosure as a third backup on a different power supply. Basically the DSM-G600 is a hard disk enclosure with gigabit ethernet (like the new iMac and PowerBooks), wifi and a USB port to expand the storage capability. I figure its a good cheap start to check out network-attached storage at home, and if its good I may either stick to it and add additional ones as my needs grow, or move up to that one NAS 4-drive unit that everyone raves about (lost on the make and model at the moment). There are lots of NAS enclosures out there, but the DSM-G600 is the only one I've seen under $200 with gigabit ethernet.

If you back up your mac before deleting your emails, Time Machine should back up your e-mails.
I never tried this so i'm not sure to find them in Time Machine. To browse in your backups simply click the Time Machine icon in your dock. In the right bar, you can select an backup. Than you can browse in finder, in your backkup.

Yes. I use the same Apple ID on four different iDevices. You can sync the contacts with iCloud or with your computer and have them on both devices. You can sync all of the apps as well. If the apps are not in iTunes on your computer - you can download them to the iPad with the same Apple ID. You can also restore the iPad from a backup of the phone to transfer your settings, app data and your contacts.
iPhone only apps will be half size on the iPad screen but will still work as long - you can enlarge the size of the apps - but they will be pixelated on the screen.

A single user license allows for having activated installations on two machines. An Elements license allows for either platform in many cases (recently not the case from what I've seen). If you have the disc, see if it contains the Mac installation files... if it does then you should be able to install them via a download as well. I cannot answer with certainty for the last question since it relies on the previous question. Personally, I would not let an inexpensive piece of software dictate an expensive hardware purchase decision.

What do you think about using exceptions for something more than errors

if you look the java.lang.Exception description at the JDK javadoc, you can see the following text:
"The class Exception and its subclasses are a form of Throwable that indicates conditions that a reasonable application might want to catch."
... we can�t see "error" word anywhere!!

it seems that what you say is a functional way of achiveing that, yes
but Exceptions are generally reserverd for "Exceptional" situations ie program messing up or invalid data
it does require a fair bit of processor time to actually generate and throw an Exception.
so, all in all its "better" to use "normal" condition flow control to achive what you want.. you can always return early, break loops, call methods to pass information

How did the photos that you want to copy off get on the iPad ? To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a Mac you should be able to use iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

Your best bet would be to buy a single 2012 MacMini Server model that you can use to manage the balance of the other machines. Either that or upgrade one of the MM's to OS X Yosemite Server . You can find information about the Server edition at:

However I would STRONGLY recommend visiting your local Apple Store and ask to speak to their business specialist, they are trained to manage customer needs such as yours.
The major advantage of using Macs over any PC is the stability of OS X itself and the overall quality of support that you will never get with HP.

I have a document that is about car. I would like to ask whether I need to create a "THEME' for this document by myself before I can use the query 'about(car)' to search the results? If yes, please teach me how to do so. Because I thought that the theme will be generated by the system automatically and I already waste many days to fix the problem. You don't need to have a theme component in the index to issue ABOUT queries in English. However, having a theme compoenent in the index yields the best results for ABOUT queries.
Something like this

As far as I know there is no US cell carrier that allows pay as you go with an iPhone. You can purchase an unlocked iPhone 4S at an Apple Store and try it with a non-supported carrier.

Okay, so we've eliminated the lack of space since you have plenty.

Page ins and page outs - post those (or just post the same type of screenshot). If you have a lot of those, that means that your machine needs to keep swapping RAM around to make the best of what is available which can result in slow responses.
Also post the total amount of RAM you have (in my case, I have 12 GB)
You free RAM of 221 MB is very, very low - I'm guessing you only have a total of 2 GB. If that is the case, I would absolutely max out the machine (if you don't know how much RAM you can put in, post your model number here so we can help with that).

Java Web Start was instruduced in jdk1.2, it's about ten years ago,But it's still not widely used--WHY?
it's not because the design, it's becasue the code--the garbage code-- even the last version not work in many user computers,
just not work suddendly -- noboday know reason--- if you do not believe, please google internet, many people suffered and suffering from web start!
It's incredible that a famous big company like sun can not resolve an deployment problen in ten years that some very small company can do good work in much more short time !!!

Client-end should be simple and stable, should let the server-end do complex thing .(now sun do opposite thing, they make Client-end complex, but server simple) ---it's because that Client-end will take widely effect on user's computer. update a few server is much more easy then update a amount of clients!
