I used a pages template to create a poster/flyer is it possible to convert it to a jpeg?

You can export it as a pdf. Then open the pdf with Preview and export is as a jpeg from there.

We use a doc template to create a purchased part spec document and then save them as pdf formatted files.  These part spec documents are also appended with the datasheets for these purchased parts.  When we want to update/revise the document, is there a method, using Acrobat, to make those updates to the pdf, or must we go back to the doc template and basically generate a new document?
Also, our resulting pdf documents aren't searchable.  How can we generate pdf documents that are searchable?  I may want to search for a part value or name within the body of these pdf documents, but currently can't do that...very inconvenient.
    Can you assist?

Not totally sure about the search issue. A lot depends on how you created the PDF and what is in the datasheets you attached (like are they graphics?). The doc portion should be searchable as long as you used print to the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker. For your use, it may be that the print is adequate. However, the result should be searchable (unless maybe you had a form with filled in fields and created the PDF with PDF Maker. I think the form data may be retained in form fields and the fields are not searchable. In that case, a print might be a better procedure. (it would help to know the versions of WORD and Acrobat as well as the exact process you used to create the PDF.)
If the appended data sheets do not change, then you might try opening the original PDF and then using Replace Pages to replace the file created from the DOC file.

  • ACCESS DENIED when trying to use custom site template to create new Subsite

I am trying to create a new site using a custom template. I am the new admin here at the company. Other also are having "access denied" errors when trying to create the site using these custom templates.
However I can still create a site using the out of the box templates. I have given myself site collection admin (primary) and I am a farm administrator as well. Any ideas on why I keep getting access denied to specific templates?
The entire site collection is using the custom template. When I try to create a new site under the site collection with a custom template now, it says "access denied". Any ideas?
    Thanks!
Note - I am able to use the Custom Site Templates in the test environment without any issues. Only in the production/live environment am I getting the access denied error.

I am not finding anything that comes up in the ULS logs about the access denied. I tried creating the site in the test environment using the custom template and it worked. I go to the production environment and try to create the site with the same template
and get "error:access denied - current user domain\user" I checked in the ULS logs as soon as the access denied appears (pretty quickly after pressing create) and there is nothing at that specific time. This is a huge problem, is there any way to
work around or fix this? I'm a new admin.

  • Using a Pages template

When trying to use a template in pages, I have access to edit the first page, but can't "find" the subsequent pages. I am trying to use a newsletter template.

You have the information on page 17 in the English version of Pages User Guide. It is downloadable from the Pages Help menu.

  • 11g PS2 - Image used in page template not displayed on browser before logi

    Hi All ,
I have used the company logo and placed it in the page template which has been used to develop the UI.The images are placed in resources/images folder and accessed the same way too.
Basic form based authentication has been enabed for the application.
The image is not displayed on the login page. Just displays a [X] and the shortDesc given to the image.
Once I login I can see the image for the other pages which use the same template.
Any idea what might be wrong here ?
    Thanks

  • Using Automator action/workflow to create a poster in iPhoto

I'm using Jim Heid's Mac iLife 'lifeposter' idea [which comes from Mike Matas] and I keep getting a message taht says "the workflow was saved with an older version of 'get Selected items' some behavior may have changed. and also another ref. 'import files into iPhoto" -- I didn't find a more recent Automator action 'Create Thumbnail Poster" online nor updated information at Matas's blog or Heid's book...any suggestions for how to fix this? I last used it a few years ago and would like to use it again.

Unless you got a message about it, the original Create Thumbnail Poster may work with the version of iPhoto that you have. As for the other actions, they sound like standard actions that have just been updated - you can open the older application and recompile it using the newer actions.

  • How do I delete unused pages templates i created

    I have a MacBook OS 10.8.4
I have saved templates I have created to "Save as a Template" in "My Templates", many of which are no longer relevant. How do I delete them?
I read the Pages UG, and see something about creating my own folder to save mine in, but I don't find a way to delete them from Pages "My Templates"

    Hi Jerry,
That thought went through my mind, too, after your help. But ten steps? I think they would be embarrassed to put it in the UG. : D
Any way, I am so grateful for people out there like you who can help a non-techy like me. I've been using Mac since 1999, love it, but now it's getting a bit too complicated for me. That's inevitable with more sophisticated products, of course, which are totally amazing, to say nothing of the app world.
Do you remember the MS loaned exec for developing the iPhone, at the launch press conference, he said he had learned two important values at Apple: Simplicity and ease of customer use. Ah, those were the days! : )
    Thanks again, buddy!

  • Is there a Pages template for creating a strategic plan?

    Hi
I am wanting to create a Strategic Plan in Pages.  The type of Plan put together by Private Schools  - with text , headings, pictures and lots of white space -
does anyone know if there is a template available?
    Thanks
    Lyn

    Hi Lyn,
A quick search on 'strategic plan template' with my favourite web search engine came up with several. Most are boring and dry, not at all what I imagine you want. Even though the templates are for Microsoft Word, Pages will open them. Then you can be creative and adapt them.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • Using old Pages templates

Can the old templates in the previous version of Pages be opened up in the newer version?

Yes/No, because Apple has removed so many features they open but with varying amounts of errors or corruption.
There was a reason Apple did not include them in Pages 5 templates.

  • Using a UIX Template as a Base for a JSP

We are looking to use a UIX template to create our "look and feel" across the application, but we have some pages that just need to be written as JSP's. Is there a way to use a UIX template as a base for JSP pages? or do we have to have a different look and feel for JSP and UIX?

I have a similar problem. I <servletInclude> a data bound JSP and it doesn't render unless I refresh the page. Is this a bug?

  • Calling a stored workspace procedure/function in page template

I have an unusual puzzle. I am trying to find a way to call a stored procedure or function in a page template; ie, through HTML/javascript.
I maintain a website with several dozen applications and I currently have the page templates in all of these applications subscribed to one master template, so that changes can be made in one place and implemented across all the applications. So far, the only content I can display on every page in every application through page template subscription is static content; dynamic content (ie content generated based on data in the database) is implemented page-by-page (or application-by-application).
I'm wondering if there is a way to call stored procedures/functions from the page template to create dynamic content (based on the :APP_USER identity, for example). htmldb_Get() doesn't seem to be helpful, because as far as I can tell it only calls on-demand application processes, not workspace procedures/functions.
Is there any way at all that a workspace procedure/function can be called directly from the page template (eg with a javascript function of some kind)? Again, I am trying to avoid having to use any application/page-level apex entities (items, processes, etc) so that I can just put the javascript or whatever in the page template and refresh all the applications in my workspace.
    Thanks in advance!

  • How do I duplicate the 2 sheets in the Employee Template to create a new week with all formatting saved?

I am trying to use the Employee Template to create a schedule, and have everything set up the way I want and have my first week of schedule written. Now I am having trouble duplicating the 2 sheets (that come with the Template) to begin the next week, but the links in the formulas all link back to the original administration sheet. Can I set it to link to the new sheet that was duplicated? Does this make any sense?

This is problem seems funny because it shows poor planning on the designer of this template (in my opinion).  I would make the following changes
    1) cut the table "Administration Information" from the Sheet "Schedule" and paste in a new Sheet titled "Admin"
    2) Rename the table "Week of ..." in the sheet "Schedule" to "Plan"
    3) add a new 1 row, 2 column table for entering the date for the start of this week (call the table "Date")
    4) Rename the table "Week of..." in the sheet "Printable Schedule" to "Print"
    5) Rename the sheet "Schedule" to "2012 Week 26" or what ever name you want
    6) copy the table "Print" to the sheet "2012 Week 26"
    7) enable print view by selecting the menu item "View > Show Print View"
    8) move the table "Print" to the second page of the sheet
    9) delete the sheet "Printable Schedule"
This is how things should look.  Ignore the highlighting around cells in the image below (I'll refer back to this later):
Now you can duplicate the sheet "2012 Week 26", update the date in the date table, update the schedule, then print from page 2 to 2.
    I hope this helps

  • Problem with af:resource in Page Template of Custom WebCenter Portal

According to the WebCenter Developers Guide in a bullet point just before section 11.2.4, I am supposed to be able to use a af:resource tag to include a custom css or js file within my page template. I am trying to do exactly that with a custom css and jquery js file that I have put into the shared folder of my custom portal implementation of JDeveloper. However, whenever I deploy my project and bring up a page using this page template, Firebug shows that it cannot find the file specified.
I try going directly to the files and get a 404.
I then check the security policy of the files and they are showing as having the default security policy, so I am not completely sure why this is not working.
The user that I am logging in as is part of a custom role, but I didn't think that that would have anything to do with files that are stored in the shared folder.
I did also make sure to Create Portal resources out of each file, but that didn't help either.
    Any thoughts?

I created fair amount of portal with custom javascript and css and I didn't seem to find any of that...
What WebCenter Portal version do you use?

  • Page Template in SharePoint 2013 Online ?

    Hi All,
I am doing cross site publishing wherein currently my Publishing site showing some departments like HR,Admin,Finance and using content search webpart to show the contents of each department using single Item page (item.aspx).
I heard about the new concept of page template; so my question is instead of using item page how can we use single page template to display the contents across multiple departments.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dhananjay

Cross Site Publishing, would typically be done via the Content Search Web Part and the display templates. Can you have a look at this, as it might be what you meant?
