I mistakenly added an extra letter into my email address when setting up my icloud account. How do I correct my email ID in icloud?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't change your Apple ID or primary email address, if it was your primary email address you messed up, you could always create an alias with the correct spelling.

  • How can i change the email address for apple id and icloud?, how can i change the email address for apple id and icloud?

i had to change the email address to my apple id. now when ever i try to use imessage or the icloud, it wont let me because it is using the old email address. i cant change it on my phone and idk what to do on my computer!

If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • If I chose the wrong folder as defaulf for downloads to go to, how can I change it?

I use download manager. I hit '''yes''' when asked if I wanted to make the folder shown as the default for future downloads of that type. I did not mean to do that. How can I change the default folder?

    Hi belladonna82,
You should take a look at the [[Downloads window]] and [[Options window - General panel]] Knowledge Base articles. They will give you all the details you need. Unless you are talking about the default action and not the actual download folder? If so, you should look at [[Options window - Applications panel]].
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Email being sent using the wrong email account

I have two email accounts set up on my phone.  Every time I send a new email or reply to an email it automatically sends it out using an old email address that I not longer use.  Is there a way to stop this from happening?

check under your outgoing servers section if there's still an outgoing server set to live or hotmail...
i bet your primary servers for both email accounts are configured incorrectly and the live one is not.

  • My husbands itunes account is set up on my iphone - how can I change this?

My husbands itunes account is set up on my iphone.  This wasnt an issue until we upgraded the software on our iphones recently and now his account has been applied to my icloud as well. I think this is the reason that all of my contacts on my phone have disappeared and been replaced with his.  How can I get around this? Do I need to restore factory settings on my iphone? Thankfully my contacts etc are still on the mac so I think I should be able to restore factory settings and re-set up the phone and then put all of my contacts back on my phone. Does this sound like the correct thing to do or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Go to Settings/iCloud tap Delete Account bar.  You will be given the option of saving the iCloud data on you iPhone.  In your case you probably wouldn't want to save the data.  Note this only deletes the iCloud data and connection on you iPhone.  Then log back in using your iCloud account.  Note also that this doesn't change the Apple Store account.

  • When I attach PDF to an email, it uses the wrong email address

I recently added an email account to my Outlook.  It is not the default email account, but Acrobat defaults to that address whenever I attach a PDF to an email.  Within Acrobat, the Identity under Preferences includes the correct email address.  My MS Office applications use my correct, default email address when send from them.  In Windows, the correct email is set at the default email and Outlook is my default email application.  It is only Acrobat that defaults to the wrong email account.  How can I fix this?
I am using Acrobat 9 Standard
I attach PDFs to email my clicking on the envelop icon.  A new message in outlook automatically opens, but the "From" field in the new email message contains the wrong email address. I have also tried File/Attach to Email with the same results.

You are facing this error because Outlook is your default email Client and you have configured it for different e-mail Address than the one which you intend to send mail from.
So i would recommend you to either Add the other e-mail account( The one from which you want to send file)  in outlook so that you have a choice while sending the file.
    OR
You can remove the currently configured e-mail account from outlook, and reconfigure outlook for that e-mail address which you want to use for file sending purpose.
P.S.- Acrobat will always use the e-mail address associated with your Default e-mail Client ( Outlook in your case.)
Hope that answers your question. Please revert back for any other query or assistance.

  • I accidentally created an iCloud account using the wrong email address for my username - I already have an iCloud account with a different email address username. Is there any way I can merge these accounts?

I just upgraded my MacBook from OS X 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion so that I could stream from my other devices (iPhone and iPad) to my MacBook.  After making it through the upgrade process, I realized that I used the wrong email address for my iCloud username when starting up on the MacBook.  My iPhone, iPad, and iTunes are under my Hotmail email address and I accidently used my Gmail email address for the MacBook.  Is there any way I can merge these two icloud accounts together? I tried changing my account information to add the other email address, but wasn't allowed because another account was using the name (duh).  If I can't merge them, how could I change the MacBook from the Gmail address to the Hotmail address so that all my devices are on the same icloud account?  It'd be nice if I could keep the free 5GB of storage that comes with my purchase of the software, but I'd rather lose the storage than not be able to stream.

To change accounts on your Mac, go to System Preferences, sign out of the current account, then sign into the new account.  When you sign out of the current account it will delete synced data from your Mac.  Assuming your data (such as contacts, calendars, etc.) is in the other iCloud account, it will be synced to your Mac when you sign into this account.

  • I accidentally in put the wrong email address when attempting to register with iCloud. As such, I can't verify the account with that email address because it does not exist. What should I do?

I accidentally input the wrong email address when attempting to register with iCloud. Therefore, I can't verify the account because the email address that I accidentally used does not exist. Can someone help me figure a way out of this because there does not appear to be a way to edit the email address?

try https://appleid.apple.com... enter the new icloud id, and try to edit the email address assocaited.

  • Unable to login to ePrint Center. It says I'm using the wrong password. When I try to use "Forgot

Unable to login to ePrint Center.  It says I'm using the wrong password.
When I try to use "Forgot Password", it rejects my email address.  I give up.

The issue you're experiencing is most likely due to an old Snapfish account registered under your email address. ePrintCenter and Snapfish account information is stored in the same place and I've seen this conflict before. You will need to go to http://www.snapfish.com/snapfish/welcome, click the "Sign In" in the top right hand corner of the page and then click the "forgot password" link and enter the email address that is causing your problems, you should receive an email from Snapfish that will let you create a new password there. Once you've created a new password for Snapfish, try to Sign In on ePrintCenter (http://www.eprintcenter.com/) using your email address and the new password you created for Snapfish.
Let me know if you have any further issues. Thanks
