I used to be able to send imessages
iMessage is turned on, verified, facetime verfied
I can message another friend with imessage without any problems, but one of my friends i was attempting to send and it kept failing unlike before. After "Send as text message", i promptly checked if my iMessage was having problems with other people, and it was only him. I then tried to send again but it forces me to send as a text message now.
He did not turn off iMessage. Hes using an iPhone 5, me a 4S
Even if iMessage is "On" & "Verified", both the sender and receiver must be connected to the internet for prompt delivery. Otherwise it may be sent as a text message

I used to be able to send I messages from my iPhone 4 now in settings it's telling me "waiting for activivation". I have tried lots of things to resolve this but to no avail. Please help....
If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue. -

When using Firefox Sync on multiple devices, I used to be able to 'send' a tab from one computer to another. Is this still possible? If so, how?
I don't mean the ability to see what tabs are open on another device (I know how to do this). But if I am at work and find something that I want to read at home, it would be helpful to 'send' the tab to my home PC so that when I return home, it will automatically open that tab for me.Can anyone help?

A friend of mine sent 2000 texts as a joke. Now my phone reads his phone not as an iPhone. I was able to send iMessages before untill he did his prank. How do I get it back to where we can send iMessages again?
Firstly, slap your friend across the back of the head. Secondly, Remove his number as "iphone" save the contact.
have him send another iMessage (make sure it sends as iMessage not text) and it should register as his full number (XXX)XXX-XXXX. add that to "existing contact" as iphone, reply as imessage. should work. -
Why can't I share my iCal diary anymore with my work colleagues? I used to be able to send a link so the calendar could be viewed in any browser be it PC or Mac platform??
Ordinary webspace won't do - what you get is a text file: this is the problem - MobileMe took the file published by iCal and formatted it as a calendar. Presumably if you were running your own server as indicated in the help page it would do the same; but unless 1&1 can speficially provide you with a CalDAV server it's not going to work.
Do your colleagues have Macs? For those who do, they can subscribed to a shared calendar in iCal and it couldn't be simpler. Presumably Windows owners could do the same thing in a suitable calendar program; and this is a lot simpler solution.
Another route: according to this site:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/publish-ical-calendars-mobileme-os-server-mac/
box.net can do this for you. I seem to remember that this arose a while back, but I have a feeling that the poster then couldn't get it to work. I can't advise on that, but you might want to investigate it as an option. -
I used to be able to send text messages to my email. It's now not working. It keeps coming in as a text. Is one of my settings off? Please help?
Verizon is not doing that it is the mail that is doing that.
Check your device settings for email and read the owners manual as to how to set up mail to download. How you want it, leave on server, etc.
Good Luck -

I used to be able to send document as a PDF or Word Document via email using the toolbar.
I used to be able to send Pages documents as a PDF or Word Document via email using the Pages toolbar (not the iWork feature). Lately, it hasn't been working at all. No email pops up; just nothing. Is anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? I'm running Pages '09 version 4.1.
This Apple Express Helper is a dumb one.
File names with # and $ are perfectly treated by the share to Mail feature.
What is rejected is the slash (/) and it's perfectly normal.
Since the delivery of the first version of OS X, slash is an illegal character in file names.
Apple thought that it would be fair to build a piece of code taking care of such chars because they were valid ones in the older operating systems.
But they expected that users will drop these chars. Alas they didn't and users like you are continuing to play with matches.
At last, OS X 10.7 removed the extraneous code and now, hosanna, iWork refuse to export files whose name contain the infamous slash.

I have an iphone 3gs and my girlfriend has an iphone 4s. I am unable to send her imessages but able to send imessages to other iphone users! Any answers?
Send a message from the 3GS to the 4S... once sent, tape the bubble and an option should be prompted to send as iMessage... give that a try and see if it forces things back over.
Also, confirm the contact settings are accurrate. -
While on vacation in Canada in July I started having trouble sending more than one pix at a time to other users. I don't recall having this problem before. Is there a limit on the number of pictures you can send via text? I wonder if I messed up some settings while I was in Canada. I had things set so that I could not receive phone calls so I wouldn't get charged. Could I have messed up text / multimedia settings as well?
We want your phone working just as well now as it did before your trip, sngbrd9. Are you trying to send the pictures to other Apple users using iMessage or are they being sent through MMS/picture messaging? Are you able to send pictures one at a time to those same contacts without an error? Did you change any settings in your camera to have HDR now instead of a slightly lower resolution with a smaller file size?

Hey does anybody know how to set up 2 apple ID on mac imessages? Because i have 2 different iphones and i would like to send imessages fron both accounts on my mac...
Associate your mobile numbers with your Apple ID, if you haven't already done so.
Sign out of iMessage on the Mac:
Messages ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts ▹ Sign out
and on the iPhone:
Settings ▹ Messages ▹ Send & Receive ▹ Apple ID ▹ Sign out
Then, on the phone, tap
Use Your Apple ID for iMessage
Sign back into iMessage on both devices and test. If there's no change, you may have to wait for a change in network conditions.

I am not able to send imessages but am able to receive them.
I am using an iPhone 4s running the latest iOS...when I try to initate an imessage to a contact (that I know has imessage and it's turned on), I can only send as a text. Once they reply or initiate a message to me, then I can send imessages back to them. Even if I delete the imessage, as long as I don't turn the phone off, I can then initiate imessages to those that have sent to me. Once phone is restarted though, I have the same issue.
I've tried changing my send/receive settings for imessage, does not seem to make a difference.Sounds like a chronic Apple issue. See these two articles:
