I used to close my IPad apps by double tapping the button at the bottom of the screen. With IO7, how is this done?

I usually close out my open apps on my IPad in the evening by double tapping the bottom button. How do I do it with IO7?

You still double click the button, but instead of there being a small red button on the app for you to delete them, just slide the pages upwards, and the small screen and app at the bottom closes. Hope this helps

Double-tap on the Home button. You will see a preview of the app above the actual icon. Slide the preview up to kill it.

Make a copy of the table and produce your Line chart or Bar chart from the copy. Sort the copy into the order you want to see in your chart.
Alternately you could use a Scatter Chart...

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

To close an app - Drag the app up from the multitasking display. Swipe up on the mini screen of the open app - not the app icon itself.

You don't press and hold them. Just swipe up.

Just noticed that when I close my mail app by double clicking the home button and swiping up it dies something weird. After doing this when I open my mail, instead of showing all my mailboxes it automatically opens one of them instead. Anyone know why?

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. If I am speaking to a person, if they hang up then I am back to the phone application. If I'm leaving a message, I am unable to return to the phone screen to end the call, and have to wait until the other phone hangs up. I'm also unable to switch back and forth to look at my calendar if I'm calling someone about scheduling. This has only started happening since the most recent iOs update. I run into situations similar to this about once per day during the work week, as I use my phone is this manner quite often. While not life altering it is quite frustrating. Can anyone here help me figure out a way to avoid this? If it helps, I have noticed a general downgrade in overall performance starting two system updates ago (apps opening more slowly, closing unexpectedly more often, etc.). I have an iPhone 3GS with the latest OS update.

I could be corrupted backup.
You can check the notification settings for message.
Settings>Notification Center>Messages>Alert Style
It should be on Banners or Alerts.
Settings>Messages> Turn on Imessage and send as SMS and below that "Blocked" to check if you have any numbers block might be blocking the message.
You can also do a hard reset by holding power and home till it restarts and release after seeing the apple logo.
Still doesn't work? Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings

IF RESET DOESN'T WORK, FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

You can create a Quicktime movie slideshow of the book's pages and share that. Here's how to get your book into an iPhoto slideshow and then export as a Quicktime video:
1 - While viewing the book type Command+P to start the print process.
2 - click on the PDF button and select "Save PDF to iPhoto".
Note: If you don't have any of those options go to Toad's Cellar and download these two files:
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Unzip the files and place in the HD/Library/PDF Services folder and reboot.
3 - select either of the files above (300 dip is used for photos to be included in a book that will be ordered).
4 - in the window that comes up enter an album name or select an existing album and hit the Continue button.
That will create a 200 or 300 dpi jpeg file of the item being printed and import it into iPhoto. Immediately select all of the photos in the new album and sequentially renumber them as "Page " using the Batch Change ➙ Title to Text with the option to add a sequential number to each title. This is to let you put the pages back in the correct order in the event they get sorted incorrectly.
Now you can proceed as follows: create the slideshow in iPhoto and export it out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large (480p with iPhoto 9),

If your iPhone display turned black and white after holding down the Home button for 2 seconds, first try pressing the Home button again to go to the main menu (Home screen.)
For reference, holding down the Home button for 2 seconds will trigger Siri if that feature is enabled:
