I used to have an iphone 4 but recently switched to a galaxy but now cant recieve texts from iphone users
i recently got a galaxy but used to have an iphone 4 but now i cant receive text messages from iphone users, the messages are still coming in as imessages.
You can try resetting the password for the Apple ID you were using for iMessage by going to https://iforgot.apple.com/. If that doesn't work, you'll have to contacct Apple support for assistance.

I used to have a customised "skin" but now it is not there, why?
I now have a grey menu line at the top and I had chosen to have an orange one I can't find out how to get it back. Also there used to be a Firefox button on the extreme top left of the menu bar and in this I could choose to print preview before I printed off a page - sometimes the orientation needed to be adjusted - and I can't find this. This button used to also allow me to send a link to the page by email - where is this?
I really hate it when useful features like this are just taken away just because somebody thinks that it will be more "modern".
I also play some Facebook games and there can be a delay in these. My husband keeps telling me to change over to Chrome as this works faster on his PC which is right next to mine. the print preview & send a link buttons are still be there & you can customize firefox to your flavour to an extend your husband's browser probably isn't able to do: [[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars]]

i am having a hard time recieving text messages from iphone users on my android device even after deactivating my old iphone and imessages. i dont know what else to do, apple is no help and want to charge me for assitance?!?!?!
<Edited By Host>You can try the following on your friends phone:
1. Remove the contact card
2. Then turn off iMessage and then back on again
3. Go to Messages and compose a new message
4. Press +. This will make a list of recent contacts pop up.
5. Click on the info button number of the contact you are trying to reach.
6. Remove from Recents
7. Try to compose another message
8. If the message attempts to send as blue (imessage), press on the message.
9 Option to send as SMS will appear (as long as they have SMS turned on.
10. Repeat and rinse.
11. Messages will start changing over to all SMS as the user will show as non-imessage user.

The problem may be that on the other users phones if your contact is associated with an email address that could have been used for iMessage, that that is what it's trying to send to.
If that's not the case I'm not exactly sure. They may also try erasing your contact and putting it back in their phone. That way it would be a new contact unassociated with an iPhone.
Other then that, you may cosult some Android forums... -

Please help. I have updated to the IOS 7 and there was a cool feature in the Music app wherein when you view an album artist, i think apple updates the picture of that artist from their gallery. But when I decided to restore to factory defaults, it never came back and only uses the picture from the albums.
I have the same problem. After a full restore my iphone 5 does not display the artist photos, but it does show the correct album covers once i go into that group. Instead i get a grey box with diagonal writing saying the band name but no picture.

Unfortunately, there isn't a list of steps you can perform on your own. Instead, you need to call 1-800-MY-APPLE in order to have Apple manually de-register your phone number from the Apple servers. In order to do this, make sure you have yourApple ID on hand as well as the phone number in question.
To expedite the process of your call, be sure to ask for technical support when calling in. Then just tell them you're switching to a smartphone that isn't an iPhone and you can't receive messages so you need them to manually unregister you from the iMessage servers. -

It sounds like it still has her information on it, so it might be efficient to navigate to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Erase All Content and Settings. You can then set up the phone again, using your information. This way the phone will be yours, officially, and her data and information will be removed.

Your MacBook is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8, which is the minimum required to install the current version of iTunes and sync devices running iOS 7. It doesn't need to be compatible with Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks.

If your partner registered his iPhone under his support profile, he could try to login & remove the iPhone. This will stop your iMessage problem. Do so here: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
The other thing your partner could try is to insert his sim into an iPhone and turn off iMessage there but this maybe a little more difficult if his Samsung doesn't use a MicrSIM. -
