I used to have broad, then it stopped working

As the title says , i did have broadband, about 6 or more months,, then it stopped working, so i contact bt, eventually after several visits by engineers, literaly hours and hours of phone calls, several times got cut off after around 45 mins to an hour of repeating myself over and over again to an opperators that only has the ability to read the script in front of them .and also being blatently lied to by bt operators , to achieve nothing but to highten their incompetance in their complete failure to solve the problem and get my broadband working as IT DID BEFORE,  they tell me my line won't support broadband, well i know that because it's stopped working, i have allready told them that, obvious if the signal won't get to me.  not rocket science, so i tell them . well mend it, they say they can't, i am to far away from the exchange, so i tell them,,, i have not moved anywhere ,, am at the same address, it wasn't to far away a month ago, and they read the script in front of them again , and tell me pending new technology bla bla bla, so i have got to wait for someone to invent something it appears,, but lets not forget, it did work , i had it for over 6 months, my neighbours work and his neighbour also, its just bt bull**bleep**,

Contact the mods, you can do that by following this link: http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951 , this is a specialised UK based team who will do everything in their power to provision broadband for you.  It may be that some cable has been swapped to a lower grade which has meant the broadband is unable to reach you.  They have access to detailed checks and should do everything, even if it proves needing an engineer to provision it.

    Adobe no longer supports the installation and use of Acrobat 6 as it is a very old version which is not compatible with Windows 7.
    I would suggest you to please use the latest version of Acrobat i.e. 11.0.10 which is fully compatible with your OS with its enhanced features and functions.

    Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

    I have had numerous issues with Itunes 64 bit 11.1.38 (and other previous versions) locking up and crashing upon start with "Itunes has stopped working" or "R6027 pure virtual function call".  I have researched the answers around the forums as well as having tried some extensive and repetitious troubleshooting myself and thought I'd list them here... in order of troubleshooting...
    1. Install all Windows updates and reboot.  This seems to clear issues from time-to-time... I suspect Itunes expects the latest-and-greatest as far as Windows is concerned.. see if this clears your issue.
    2. Uninstall all Itunes and Apple products & reboot, remove their directories, remove lingering Itunes registry entries, reboot again, reinstall using "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" to install the Itunes executable. See if this allows Itunes to stabilize.  Pelase be sure to use the following guide from Apple as far as removing the apps and directories are concerned...

    3. Remove the contents of the "iphone photo cache"  (or other related product photo cache)  directory.
    4. Try editing the shortcut properties and configure the shortcut (for all users) to run as Administrator.

    Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not synced. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not touched with the iTunes sync process. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer which is not handled by iTunes. Most importing software includes an option to delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete. If is my understanding that some Windows import software supports importing photos from the Camera Roll, but not videos. Regardless, the import software should not delete the photos/videos from the Camera Roll unless you set the app to do so.
    Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup. If you synced your iPhone with iTunes before the videos on the Camera Roll went missing and you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes since they went missing, you can try restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the iPhone's backup. Don't sync the iPhone with iTunes again and decline the prompt to update the iPhone's backup after selecting Restore.

    I'm an a mac, and I haven't had the problem, so I'm not the best for advice. That said, I am sure FC on the pc can import .psd file. I would check the psd for anything "abnormal". If it is a complicated file, simplify as much as possible, flatten effects especially.

    I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago.  I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam.  I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase. 
    Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions.  Could you please explain?

    I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

    It sounds like you are having to power cycle your modem to get internet back every single day. We can start by troubleshooting your Airport Express to help isolate the issue. I would first perform a Soft Reset, then test the issue again. If needed as a last resort I would then perform a Hard Reset:
    Soft reset
    Connect the device to power and wait for it to complete its start up process. To learn more about the start up process, please see All about Wi-Fi base station Status Lights (LED).
    Press and hold the reset button with a pen, pencil, or straightened paperclip for 1 full second, then release it. The light (LED) will begin flashing amber, indicating that the device is in soft reset mode.
    From the AirPort menu bar item, choose the network created by the device (the network name does not change).
    Open AirPort Utility from Applications > Utilities.
    Select the base station, then click Edit (The Edit window will indicate that the base station is in Soft Reset mode).
    Move through the tabs to make changes to your passwords or other settings as needed, and click Update and Continue as required
    Quit AirPort Utility.
    Hard reset
    Press and hold the reset button with a pen, pencil, or straightened paperclip until you see the status light (LED) start to flash amber rapidly, which should occur after about five seconds.
    Release the button and the device will reset.
    Wait about a minute for the base station to finish restarting, then open AirPort Utility from Applications > Utilities.

  • VPN working fine.... then just stopped working!

    Have posted this before, but was hoping that someone out there has experienced the same issue.
    I setup the VPN on 10.6 McMini server and it worked really well for several weeks. Then all of a sudden (without any changes being made to the server) it just stopped working!
    I cant get a VPN connection either on the internal network (so no routers involved here) or from external clients. Both of these worked before. Im convinced its def something to do with the server.
    The error I get is PPP Server could not be authenticated.
    Have tried restarting server, stopping and starting VPN service, turning L2TP and PPP of and on again, changed the shared key.. Checked the DNS with changeip and that is all good....
    Hopefully soemone out there will be able to shed some light on this for me...

  • HELP!! Does anyone else have their entire keyboard stop working with photoshop?

    This varies for me but most of the time whenever I use Photoshop CC and CS6 my ENTIRE keyboard stops working. Not just the shortcuts but even in other apps too. The only keys that remain functional are the fn, control, option, shift, delete, all of the F keys, and command keys. I am not sure if this is due to me not having enough ram (I have 4 GB). Does anyone else have this problem and if so what did you do to fix it?

    I also have this issue and it's driving me bonkers.
    Latest Photoshop CC, up-to-date.
    Win 8.1 Pro
    Das Keyboard Pro on USB3 port.
    Issue only with Photoshop - no other applications.
    I have tried a brand new machine and a brand new keyboard (replaced my main workstation recently), so I know for sure it's not an issue with any of my hardware. I also know for sure that it's not an issue belonging only to one OS version, as I had the same issue with win7pro and win8.1pro.
    For me the issue is that ALL keyboard keys stop responding completely in Photoshop until I hit the Windows key or otherwise maximise/bring to focus any other application, such as desktop or Outlook etc. Then I immediately bring Photoshop CC back into focus and the keyboard works again. Then after a few moments/clicks/commands the keyboard dies again.
    The issue is 100% local to Photoshop CC, is not related in any way to Wacom drivers (I don't have any installed and don't use a tablet), is not related only to one OS and is not hardware related, as far as I can tell. Once again, I've had these issues on-and-off across 2 different machines with different keyboards.
    I'm wondering if it's related to Teamviewer, since TV creates focus issues with certain other applications/games etc. I will try with TV closed and see if the problem goes away.
    All CC apps are up-to-date.

  • Filesharing worked, then it stopped working no system changes

    Hello all,
    I have a problem that boggles my mind. I mean, really boggles my mind. I have my iMac, and 2 external drives plugged into it, sharing media content with my 2 windows computers. Now, I should mention, internet works fine on all pc's all can ping each other, and all that good junk, they can see each other in my network places and finder, and all is good. Now, the problem. My iMac was SMB sharing my two External drives, and a local folder, no problems. I was able to use my windows PC which is connect to my TV, and view the files from my mac, no problems!
    Then, get this, NOTHING HAPPENED, and then it all just stopped working. My iMac couldn't see windows, windows couldn't see the mac. The only thing I can think of is I upgraded my ram in my mac, thats it. There were no system updates, no additional software installed, it just stopped working. I have since changed my workgroup on all computers to be the same, and now, my iMac, can see all computers, and all computers can see my iMac, but my windows computers cannot open the imac (nor the imac open windows), I just get a network path not found error, and thats it. The windows computers can all talk to each other. The problem is when I try to go cross platform.
    Some things to note that I have done:
    -File sharing is enabled on both the mac and the pc
    -SMB file sharing is enabled, and guest users are allowed to be connected
    -A user has been created to match what the pc has, no difference
    -The folders have been selected, windows file sharing is indicating it is turned on, and all users, includeing the group everyone has read and write access
    -NO SOFTWARE HAS BEEN INSTALLED ON THE MAC, and like I said, the only thing added to it was ram. All is exactly the way it was other than the ram when it was working 2 days ago.
    -All computers have been rebooted countless times.
    Please help, no one else seems to have this issue out there, I've looked since day one of the no opperation.

    I having a problem with the workgroup keeps setting back to default "workgroup" from windows workgroup name I have been using for some time on the Windows Boxes. I so frustrated I about to set everyone back to workgroup. Did you have that problem or did you use the default "workgroup"?
