I used to use Genius to help me find new music to purchase and found the feature to be very helpful. Is this feature still available?
In iTunes 12, make sure that the menu bar is showing, click on Store, and click on Turn On Genius.
NOTE: You may have to explore a little, because this applies for the OS X version of iTunes.

Why does the Right-click -> "t" delete a bookmark on the bookmark toolbar, when Right-click -> "t" opens a new tab elsewhere in Firefox. The bookmark toolbar use Right-click -> "w" to open in a new tab. Please change this to "t" to... I keep deleting all my bookmark because you don't make the commands consistent!
If you have accidentally removed bookmarks then use "Organize > Undo" in the bookmarks manager (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks) to get them back.<br />
The Organize button is the first of the three buttons on the toolbar in the Library (Bookmarks Manager).<br />
That only works if you haven't closed Firefox.

I had another computer crash. I have all my music on an external hard drive after the last crash. I got a new hard drive and installed itunes on it. Set the path for the external drive and nothing. Can someone help me find my music. I know it is there, I see it in the windows folder. itunes just doesn't see it.

iTunes has to be specifically told that the music is on the external drive. Have a look at the Add to Library section of this article in the Apple Knowledge Base for details on how to do so. -
Hello. I recently updated numbers on my macbook pro. I like the auto completion feature (proposing te word as I type). With this new update, I cannot see this feature and it doesn't work automatically. Can I have any help on this issue ?
This is really unfortunate. I'm sorry that nothing works. I was going to mention holding down the power button and doing a force shutdown but you already did that. You might need to take it into the Apple store. I don't know if booting into safe mode would help. You would have to turn off the machine again, hit the start button and hold down the shift key after you hear the tone, but normally you would let go of the shift key when you see the apple logo and spining wheel. Maybe by holding down the shift key after you here the tone will cause the screen to come back on? The other option is to start up from the 'install disk' if your machine came with one. You would insert the disk, then shut down the computer, and hold down the C key right after hitting the start button.

When in Itunes the Genuis recomentations do not refresh at all ever since i installed the new version of Itunes. The same two songs and the same 5 cd cover have been there and do not change like the did before. I do like using it for new music that I may not have heard before. Any clues? Thanks.
I agree... I am trying not to whine... but be helpful to others if they experience the same while get input before I make the decision to return (which I am leaning towards)… It’s still a great phone – but I expected something different. I also have been coming the internet and forums to see what other people think as well to make sure I am not being oversensitive about it. $300 for a 16gb is not buyers remorse kicking in… it’s just I am not sure if I see much of a difference from my perfectly good (8month old) iPhone 1st generation…
But yes… if all iPhone 3G were problematic it would be in the news… so I err on the side that I may be a unique situation or simply did not make a well informed decision when going to 3G.
Still… the idea of turning 3G off to get a full day of use out of an iPhone… even moderate use that most of us would expect w/o charging midway or multiple times is a bit much to swallow.
I don’t want to bash and just looking for peoples reaction. I still really like Apple and the iPhone in general. -

Hi, I delelted voice memos off of my iphone 4 while it was plugged into my Mac OS X. My phone was connected to i-tunes at the time. I thought I saw the voice memos in my Mac itunes library, so I proceeded to delete the voice memo's off of my phone. Now, when I look in my itunes those specific voice memos are no where to be found? Not on my Computer nor on my phone?
Can anyone help me find where the voice memo's went, they are very important!

ALennyWhen you manually manage your iPod, you decide what songs to add and delete. You can make playlists for the songs you want to add and pull them on top of your iPod--or you can just pull songs on top of your iPod.
When your iPod is plugged into your computer, you'll see it show up in the left column as "Liz's iPod". You can just pull these playlists/songs right on top of "Liz's iPod" and the updating process will start.
To delete songs you no longer want on your iPod, click on "Liz's iPod" and when the window opens there will be two tabs--one will let you manage your iPod (restore, update software, etc.) the other will list the contents of your iPod. You can delete things using the contents window.
Finally, to release your iPod from your computer, make sure the updating process is complete. You'll get a message that it's safe to remove your iPod in the center grey box at the top of iTunes (where you see the apple). Then just hit the eject button triangular symbol next to "Liz's iPod" or in the bottom right corner of the screen. When "Liz's iPod" disappears from the left column of iTunes, you can unplug it from your machine. -
Way to help keep my newer music handy?
Hey everyone. My library has gotten pretty large, and that makes it more and more difficult to keep things handy. When I used to buy CDs, it was easy to just keep the new ones with me. But now I buy most of my music on itunes and new purchases can easily slip through the cracks.
What I'm interested in is a way to manage my new music so I can easily browse my new material and find my newer albums. I have tried a smart playlist, with the criteria being music added within the last 6 months from the itunes store... but it seems as though I can't get it to sort the albums, and it just ends up being one long playlist with no way to pick an album from within this list. Any suggestions? ThanksYou can sort a playlist the same as your library. Not exactly sure how it works in version 8 (I'm still on version 7), but when you select the playlist, click the tab to sort by artist, then change the view from list to album view. In 7, you have a little View tab in the upper right of the window. It toggles from list to album view to cover flow. Perhaps it's still the same in 8. (But it's definitely possible...I'm sure this wasn't eliminated in verison 8.)

OK here goes need some help,i have my music on my external hard drive that i dragged on to my itunes everythings fine no problems there.But i went to tidy up my music in my external hard drive but can't find the mp3's all i see is the album folder.I know that the music is there because it say's on my hard drive and all the music in Itunes plays no problem can someone help me figure this one out.
It points to my external hard drive, it's just when i go to the external hard drive and go to the music folder theres just the artist and album name no mp3's

James, thank you. I'm experiencing the same issue and submitted feelback at that link. I'm trying to use the same pumpkin image I used last year for Halloween on my lock screen and attempting to follow instructions (Move and Scale) and would like to make the image smaller so that it appears BELOW the time and date, but although I'm able to move the image, I'm unable to scale it - make it smaller. I've since tried this with several other photos with the same outcome. It seems that in iOS 7 one can make images bigger, but not smaller. I'm not sure what the logic behind that could be.

It's a waste of a very expensive Mac to use it as a simple Netflix/TV streamer when less expensive and more capable devices exist. The Mac will get dirty from being exposed, overheat and just be a pain hooking cables whenever you want to watch TV and trying to fiddle with a remote.
A better low cost option is to get either a $60 Roku or a AppleTV, or if you want to play BlueRay and regular movie DVD's and have a few video games around for the kids, then a Playstation. Buy a HDMI cable online, they are only about $10.
All three options have a remote control, and every thing is designed to work on the screen, no need for the computer.
With the Mac, your going to have problems with copy protection, sound and other accessibility problems as computers are not really designed to be used as entertainment devices, or to power a big screen, but rather versatile tools, and along with that versatility comes some sacrifice.
You can use the same Netflix account for both the Mac AND the Roku etc., at the same time, in fact both are very much integrated, watch one show on the Mac while having another on the TV.
Also if you so happen to burn out or have a electrical accident with the less expensive device, it's only $60, instead of a few thousand $$ with the Mac. Not to mention once you set it up, the Roku, AppleTV etc is pretty much done, sits there ready to be used as intended for anyone to use who can push a button.
